AAA Parking Voucher?

I'm a AAA member but didn't book my Disney trip next month through them. Can I get a parking pass from them? Can someone explain how the pass words? Many thanks.

Even if you are an AAA member, I believe you must book your stay through them. The AAA parking pass gives you preferred parking in the parks. Closer to the entrance, tram stop, etc. It is based on availability.

Sometimes you walk further with Diamond parking than you would if you would just park in the regular lot.

Is that right? Can you tell me which at parks you believe it's better to use the Diamond lots and at which parks it's better to park in the regular parks?
