AAA Parking Pass

As posted on the Community Board.... Does anyone know if AAA still offers the special parking pass for its members at WDW. It used to be called diamond parking or something like that but I can't seem to find anything about it on their site. I think I remember hearing that it might have been discontinued but I figured I would check into it before I leave in two weeks. Thanks

I did a search on the site about AAA and I have found out that the AAA diamond parking is still in affect. However, do you have to book your vacation or purchase tickets through AAA to receive this benefit? (I have done neither!)

After searching some more, I have found out that you do need to purchase tickets or book a vacation to get the pass. However, in numerous posts I see Dis'ers lending their 2004 pass. Anyone out there done with theirs and would like to share?

I just asked about the parking pass at the AAA main office in central NJ on Saturday. You must purchase park hopper passes to get the parking pass according to that office.

I know others have posted that they simply went to their local office, asked for one and got it. I guess it all depends on who is working the counter that day!

I work at the AAA in Nebraska and our members only get the pass if they book a AAA package. We don't give them out with the hopper tickets we sell. So it definitely varies from club to club! Hope that helps.....

Jim, We leave Friday so I just called my AAA here in PA. They said it is not a discount. All it does is get you a closer lot to park. With the crowds low I doubt you'll even need it. It was worth asking though. She did say you needed to buy your PHP w/ them.

luv2tvl: Isn't it funny how much it varies? I've used 2 seperate offices and bought PHPs only and gotten the Parking Pass. I had an AP, but bought DBF's ticket in Jan '03 and got an '02 parking pass. Bought DMom and DDad's tickets in Jan '04 and got an '03 parking pass...I never had the right year ONCE! Oh well. But we didn't have a package and got them in two different NC offices, but you can't at some...hmm. Thanks for the info!!

Each AAA Club is individually run, so it really is a pain! Nebraska is with IA, MN, ND and SD but even within all those states they each do things differently. It's hard to keep it all straight!
