AAA MYW/Upgrade Question

I have an Premium Annual Pass, but I need to buy my boyfriend's ticket for Disney for when we go in September. We will spend 8 Days in the parks.
The AAA office by me only sells 5-Day MYW tickets with the Park Hopper feature. Would it be worth it to but that up here through AAA then upgrade to an 8-Day Premium while we are down there? Or should I just buy one through Disney?

Has anyone done this before? Any suggestions?

You MAY save a couple of dollars, but I don't know if it'd be worth it.

If they credit you back ONLY what you paid for the AAA ticket, you'd end up paying MORE for the 8 day because you'd have to pay gate price.

If they credit you back the Disney gate price of the 5 day ticket, you'd have saved only a little bit. I think the AAA tickets only save you the sales tax.

For the teeny savings, I think I'd just buy the 8 day ticket up front and save a trip to Guest Relations.
