We have AAA and wouldn't be without it. I like that it covers you..not the vehicle. Meaning if you're in someone else's car..and it breaks down, they come.

I've had my daughter be in a friends car dead of winter at 1 am in the morning and the battery was dead. (okay, at first I thought it was a story..

)..but no they really couldn't get the car started. She was at least 60 mintues from home. By calling AAA they were able to get to her faster than we would have been. (best part was I didn't have to wake my husband to go and help her out). AAA was to her in 30 minutes.
I've also used them twice when my keys were locked in the car. (don't even ask)There's a local AAA shop, and they were to my house in less than 10 minutes and the second time I was in the bank parking lot. Same thing..really quick.
I've used them while camping with the kids..when my husband wasn't there, and the battery on my truck died.

I wouldn't be without AAA.
Now, if I get discounts..that's gravy. Which they did used to offer a discount at the Disney marinas when you rent the mouse sprites and pontoon boats. While there wasn't a sign indicating so..when asked, they did offer a small discount.

I'm not sure if they still offer this, but it doesn't hurt to ask.
