Is this a running joke or is there really such a place? I hate to be so naive about it, but I keep seeing it pop up on the board and am curious. I am thinking it is a joke because everyone is saying you can get free pop and snacks there, as if anything at Disney is free :rotfl2: :rotfl:
Anyways, a little info would be helpful to this noob

According to the AAA rep I talked to, the lounge has been replaced with a character storytelling experience. The storytelling will be done by any character on Monday and Thursday between 5 and 7 p.m., with three seatings during those times. It'll last 15-20 minutes, with time for character photos and autograph signings at the end. You have to make reservations up to 90 days in advance. They'll send you a voucher for it.

We're definitely going to check it out.

Just remember that the character storytelling experience is only for packages that either include the dining plan, the premium plan or the platinum package.

Yes, it does exist. Not sure if it is being replaced or not by the storytelling. I think that is separate (at the same location, but at specific times). AAA is still touting the lounge along with the story telling experience on their website as perks for booking through them. The lounge is over by COP. The entrance is through a fence with a tiny AAA sign on the front. And yes, there is a free soda/pop, juice and bottled water (I don't remember if there were any snacks or not, it has been a while), but you have to have your voucher that comes with your trip confirmation packet, sign in and show proof of membership. And only one voucher/visit per booking. It is a nice place to stop in and relax and cool off. And as long as it isn't too busy, you can stay just about as long as you want.

It does exist, it just isn't "all that"! :rotfl:

We actually didn't see it until I noticed it from the People Mover (what is that thing called now? Tomorrowland Transit Authority?). I carried the voucher around with me for several days before we saw the lounge and actually remembered to go inside.

Anyway, if you book a package through AAA you receive a voucher in your documents. ONE voucher, good for ONE visit. So DH, DS and I stopped in and we each got ONE 12 oz. can of soda. No snacks. And we did have to present the voucher and so on. If all 3 of us wouldn't have ben together I am sure we would have had to surrender the voucher anyway. It is an air-conditioned little office with lots of travel brochures and a television. We didn't stay long. I imagine you could go back and sit in there as often as you like. We didn't ask.

I have heard they are adding the story telling this year. 3 time slots are offered starting around 5 PM, but a couple of people have posted that they couldn't get in because the times/dates they wanted were already full.
