required to book a 2009 ressie?

Or will having it at check in be sufficent?

I had to give it to her on the phone. So I would say yes, you need it.

yep number and expiration date. the cm we talked to said he assumes we will renew it (it expires in november) and to make sure our card is current when we check in or we lose the discount

Yes - I didn't have the number when I first called yesterday, so she put the request on there and told me I had to call back with the number in a couple of days or I would lose the discount. So, I think they can put a temporary "hold" type of thing on it, waiting for the number. She couldn't even tell me the rate until I gave the number.

Hi!

I did not need to give her a AAA number. But do not count on it, maybe she just forgot to ask.

At check-in, I will have to present the valid membership card anyway...

I called 3 diff times and all 3 times I was told I needed the number to book AS WELL as show it at check in. (Since I'm not going till Dec 2009...I am not going to book it now and have to pay 2 yrs of membership...after all I may be LUCKY and get a pin/code, etc! :worship: ) I was given the rates each time...and for Poly it was a 15% discount.

we booked through AAA, so did not have to give AAA card when we checked in...guess because all the info was on our reservations from the AAA office.

Haven't tried to book the AAA discount direct with Disney because we're doing FD, so that's the discount we're getting.

When we called yesterday to apply our AAA discount the CM told us we would need the card at check-in but didn't need the member# right then, DH had the card out and all ready out so he said to go ahead and give him the info so he did.

When I booked CR using my AAA discount, the Disney CM took the number. But said I would have to present it at check in also. I guess they want to make sure you really have AAA.

In my experience, if I booked thru AAA directly, then I haven't had to show my card at check in, I'm assuming this is because AAA verifies your membership when you book thru them.

If I've booked a room only direct with Disney, and requested a AAA discount, they have always asked for the card at check in.

I just modified my reservation to apply the AAA discount for 2009 and was asked for it. It saved me $300 on the room (for 8 nights at POFQ king room August 8-16)!!

If you are booking a room only directly with Disney using a AAA discount, then yes, you will need to supply them with your membership number and expiration date.

I have always been asked for my AAA number when making the reservation. I have NEVER been asked to show the card at check in, even when I was told I would have to show it. Maybe they don't always ask you to show it if the number is included in the reservation. :confused3
I always make sure to have the card, though. I would hate to lose the 15% or so discount by not having the card!

I booked our package through AAA tonight and I had to provide the agent with my membership number.

I needed it when I made a room only ressie over the phone with disney, and at check in.I also needed it when I made a AAA pkg ressie thru AAA, and at check-in.They used to be not so strict about this, but lately they have been really asking for the number.Maybe because the amt of AAA discounts avail are not that many :confused3
