AAA Exclusive sailings on Disney

Again, out of my AAA travel magazine---

AAA Grand Holidays has two exclusive seven night sailings aboard Disney - one departing July 19, 2003 and the other August 2, 2003 for western. For eastern, June 28, 2003 abd November 29th.

Thought some of you out there might be planning for these dates or would be interested in the info...

What do they mean by "exclusive sailings"? I trust they have not bought out the boat for two Western cruises in a row (especially since we are booked on the July 19th cruise).

the magazine article doesn't spell this out. I am thinking that maybe they are offering special prices for those AAA members that book for that time, or that they have extras that will be included for those dates...

That's what I would guess, too. It appears that they also offer AAA hosted cruises if they get enought AAA members to sign up. That may be the case here.

If you look on the AAA website ( see: http://www.aaamidatlantic.com/travel/Group_Flyers/81792.asp?id=81792 ), it's listed as a "Member Appreciation Cruise." AAA will apparently have a "host" on board. Members will get the soda mug, a travel bag, and luggage tags (?) The rates are listed there also, but I'm not sure if they're discounted or not.

We used AAA for our 7/28/02 cruise 7 day Eastern and the rates we got for a category 6 were $1619/person, 10% off in Treasure Ketch for purchases $75 and up, and a refillable mug for each person. The brochure showed a rate of $2399/person, so we got an excellent deal.
