Normally AAA runs some sort of disney special in January -- anyone know what it is yet? It's Jan. 1 now and I'd love some info here before attempting a trip to the closest AAA office. ;)

I haven't seen anything yet from AAA. I have had notices for other deals from them, but not Disney.

They have various specials and it is going on now.Jan is AAA magical month of Disney Promotion.I booked thru them last year and saved a huge amount. You need to get a quote from AAA and try pricing it out yourself first. The deal is anywhere from 20-40% of the resort portion of the pkg( at least it was last year). I am already waiting for my quote.

Ok thanks. I'll give AAA a call for a quote. I'm an AP holder so I don't normally book packages, but I do have a package booked for Easter break (4/3 deal) and already have it completely broken apart so I know exactly what I'm paying for each part, so I should be in good shape when I get the AAA quote. Please post back if/when you get your quote.

Thanks again.

They do have the flyers out on this. Mine came in the mail on Saturday. I'm not sure what the savings are yet, though there was an online link listed on the flyer.

Also be on the lookout for this: I got a $25 coupon in the mail that was good on my disney package (or any other package) - on top of all the discounts already offered and if my friends had one they weren't using I could use more than one! Code on the coupon was PREMIER and it looked kind of like a $ bill. The only catch was I have to take it to the AAA location to redeem - can't be redeemed over the phone. Also must be redeemed by January 31 and travel must be before June 1.

The flyer give the website with discounts as:

www.aaa.com/disneymonth

You will still have to call your TA as the site doesn't give a lot of details but it promises discounts of "up to" 40% plus a $25 gift card. I'm waiting for my TA to run the numbers but if it is 40% on the Deluxe resorts, I think if going any days other than 7 it's better than the buy 4 get 3 deal.

I can't wait to hear more about this. I'm going during Easter break, so I'm wondering if they'll black out that period. I do currently have the 4/3 deal, but I'd change if this AAA deal is better. I doubt an AP discount will be released for Easter, but I guess it will depend on bookings. In any event, thanks for posting all the info!

When I looked at the flyer, it just didn't seem like that good of a deal. I currently have the 4-3 package booked. Has anyone received a quote back yet?

I called my AAA agent today and she quoted me the exact same price as CRO with the few added AAA perks as indicated by previous posters. She did, however, tell me that our local office is having a Disney night on Jan 8th and that there will be added incentives for booking that day----but no details as to what those incentives are. She said she doesn't find out herself until the show. (Yeah, right....) I have a courtesy hold on a 4/3 pkg with CRO and it expires on the 5th. I think I might just book it and see what AAA incentives are on the 8th. I believe we get all of $200 deposit back if we cancel prior to 45 days. Can anyone tell me if I am correct on that?

Still waiting since my Ta is out of the office till Monday. But her co-workeer said it looks to be about the same as last year ( which was 40% off the villas portion of the pkg)

I'm pretty sure that's true....Let us know what the incentives are:thumbsup2 We have a trip booked through AAA too, I'd take anything I can get. My AAA "show" is Jan 13th. Last year I got a $25 gift card when I paid my balance in Jan. I'll watch this thread:surfweb: :)

Please let us know if you go that night. Ours is Jan. 10 and I can't decide if I want to rsvp to go or not....

I'm hoping someone reports back with better incentives than that.:confused3 It wouldn't be worth my trouble to rsvp, pack up two kids and a DH and drive an hour to our closest AAA location for a $25 gift card. I think the meeting for us would be on the 13th as well. If anyone goes to one before then, please let us know the scoop.

I was thinking the same thing. It seems like they'd offer some great incentives to convert us from the current 4/3 deal that disney has out. Hopefully they will! Fingers crossed.....

I received a flyer from my AAA and our night is the 14th. I will let you know after I go about the deals. It also stated that depending on how much you spend on your vacation package they are giving you free Disney luggage and travel book if you book by Jan 31.

Can't wait to see the deals!

I just called our local office to question about the incentives. I did get a rather chatty representative so, hopefully, the info is correct.:confused3 Her first "amazing" deal was the buy 4 get 3 free deal that we've all known about forever. Then she said that if you book and pay for a three night stay, you get a $25 gift card. Whoopee!:lmao: Lastly, she told me that all kids in attendance get a goodie bag and if you book a trip they get an autograph book. Not really good enough incentives to get us to haul ourselves over there, but maybe if you are closer it would be worth your while.:confused3 To be honest I was hoping for something like a $100+ gift card for booking a trip.:sad2:

Hmmm, interesting. I think I'll call our closest office after the lunch hour and get a quote so I can compare it to the current 4/3 deal I have directly through disney. I'll post back.
