AAA Discounts for 2012

I spoke to AAA this week about a trip in June and they said that the rates are not out yet. They suggested that I should check back on September 10th. Not sure if that is when they will come out but that at least gives a little indication.

I was fiddling about on the net to try and see if I could find the rates for july 2012- I not sure how I managed it (I know I had to make up a set on AAA numbers as out UK AA ones don't fit- but I managed to get onto a site that has the rates for june and july

RPR - $251 mid week
HRH - no AAA rates out
PBR- $304 mid week

This site would also take bookings on line but for UK AA I would need to phone

The site was

http://www.res99.com but as I said I am not sure how I got on to it. hope these rates help

Booked RPR with AAA for June 2012. Saves about 30. A night with AAA. :thumbsup2
Any savings is a good savings , right?

It was about 250. A nite for a Monday and Tuesday night. :scared1:

But, I think its worth getting the fotl passes. ;)

That's the rate I just got when I called today. I also have a reservation for PBR, but it's a king deluxe room so the stay more save more is better.

How does that stay more work?? I mean how many days do you have to stay to get that discount and do you know about how much that discount goes for??:confused3

It depends upon what time of year you're going and how many nights you're staying. This should help:

Evidently, during the timeframe I'm going (mid-June), you need to stay at least 4 nights to see a discount with this promotion -- I'm only staying 3, so I guess I'll just use AAA.

Is it possibly to have someone else book you a room with their CAA membership? Why I ask is b/c my husbands parents will give us money for Christmas and a little before we head away and I thought it would be more useful to us if they accumulated that and used their membership to book our rooms for us???

Does that type of thing fly? Or are members not allowed to use their benefits as a gift to family members or some sad thing like that. lol

Macraven i am looking for your expertise with this question.

looking to book HRH for October 6-8 (for HHN) is it better to book early, try and get AAA discount or wait for the summer when they release the HHN packages, last year we got a FF pass and will probably do that again this time if its offered. Any insight you can give me would be great, thanks.

what i do is book early in order to guarantee my room and room type.
i book in january for my october stay at the darkside.

i book with the AAA rate and then modifiy the rate when other deals come out later in the year.
i look for the stay more save more promos as i stay 8 or so nights onsite.
this promo is open to the public and has beaten other discounts in the past.

you can always cancel a room only booking and book the package if that is what you want.

i shy aware from the packages as it is not economical for me.
i pay less by buying everything separately.

looking at the calendar, i will be booking to stay at rph for oct 3rd thru 11th for 2012.

if you book far out, you will not fall into the trap of date restrictions at the 3 hotels.
this year and past, a person could not book a one night weekend date once it was mid/late summer.
a person had to book in some cases a 2 night or 3 night stay due to the hhn event.
hhn is held on specific nights and the hotels will book up due to that by sometime in september.

you can book in january with AAA, and you will pay a one night deposit.
if you switch to another promo, whatever you paid on that ressie, will carry over to your bill. if the rate is cheaper than aaa, you have less to pay when you check out then.

Are there any additional perks you get with booking with AAA or is it just the discount on the hotel room? We are dealing with a new AAA representative and he is having a hard time finding the specials. Perhaps it is just that there isn't much of one for our time period.

You don't get any additional perks at the hotels. The perks are the same for anyone who stays there. If you are having issues, you can call the Loews booking line directly. They will give you the AAA rates and fill you in on any details.

You can use your AAA card at the parks for dining discounts.

Does anyone know if a list exists that shows what places that offer a AAA discount for meals at the park??? Or does everywhere in the park offer a AAA discount??:confused3
