Just wanted to let everyone know, I just got off the phone with Disney and they told me the AAA Discount has been changed to 10% for all seasons, no more 15% during value season. I am going to verify this with AAA on Tuesday

Thanks for the info. That's a bummer--15% off the deluxe in value season was my back-up plan in case there are no better discounts for January. I'll have to re-crunch the numbers.

Hmmm, that does not make much sense with the economy being what it is and all. I would think Disney would welcome any sort of discount to get their rooms filled especially during value season.

10% is better than nothing but I would really like to get the 15% I got last year. I was unable to use the 4-3 deal.

I booked CR for the first week in February 2010 and received the 15% discount for AAA when I booked by calling Disney.

Is it 15% off room only or packages? I am wondering if it will be worth it to join AAA for this trip.

Mine was for 15% off room only, I am not sure about packages but I am sure someone will be able to answer your question.

I believe the 10% pertains to Value Resorts only. :confused3 (I got 15% off my Deluxe for February 2010.)

I just spoke with my local AAA, I was confused also because I was originally booked with a 20% at Fort Wilderness. It is just for the Value resorts. No matter what season you go to Disney it will only be a AAA discount of 10% at all value resorts.

Sorry, should have waited until I spoke with my AAA before posting

Dumb question, I'm sure. Can you use AAA discount with Disney discounts?

Unfortunately you can't stack discounts. Usually when a code comes out there is a AAA version so you can book through AAA but it's not in addition to the discount listed. For example, you can't use the 4-3 deal WITH 10% AAA discount. You get one or the other.

Thanks for the info! :thumbsup2

Can you get the AAA discount by calling Disney or do you have to go through AAA?

Thanks

For a Room Only reservation, you can go through Disney (which is what I prefer to do). I believe the AAA discounted packages though have to be booked through AAA.

HTHs! :)
