AAA discounts at restaurants

Which restaurants in DTD and the parks offer AAA discounts?

We stumbled across a few at WDW, but, from what I remember, I believe they are usually in DTD and not in the park. I can't remember for certain right now.

In 2008, several of the in-park restaurants gave us AAA discounts, but by last September, all of those AAA discounts were gone. I'm not sure if anything has changed since then though.

We were able to get a discount for Minnie and Friends Breakfast and Plaza Inn and when we called to order Character tickets (for Ariel's Grotto) in advance we were able to use our discount then as well.

Not sure what other places offer the discount though but I'd be interested to know of other places as well.

Interesting...we were just there and when I asked about the AAA discount at Ariel's, the waiter said they no longer accept it. I don't think I even asked at Minnie's after being declined at Ariels.

Spin-off question: if you can't use the AAA discount, does it make sense to order premium dining tickets from some place like lastminutetravel.com? It says it's $38.57/adult and $19.78 /kid ages 3-9. What's the normal price? DL's website just had menu and the statement "more than $36/person).

Yes, Ariel's and Minnie's are places that gave us the discount two+ years ago and then didn't give us the discount in September on our last trip. I'm curious when the previous poster received the AAA discount at the same restaurants.

I don't think DH even thought about asking for discounts when he made the reservations for Minnie and Ariel. Oh well... Thank you all for your responses! We'll ask while we're there (never hurts), but I won't get my hopes up.

I wish I had known they take AAA!!! I had a coupon, but it was on my phone and I couldn't print it--they wouldn't take it.

Check out restaurant.com for the DTD restaurants too; I know House of Blues is usually there, so at least you could get somewhat of a discount.

It was about a year ago. This year we purchased our character meal tickets with our vacation package which I guess is good as it seems the discounts are not available anymore.

Nah, don't go back to lurking--I was hoping you had visited after my September visit and the AAA discounts were back in place. That way I could take advantage of them on our upcoming trip.
