My in-laws are leaving for WDW in three days. My MIL got a quote from AAA Chicago for $800 for a 2 day base ticket for 4 adults & 2 children. However, when I called, I came up with an amount closer to $1200, closer to what the advertised rate on WDW is. Of course the offices are closed now, so she can't talk to anyone and is worried that she was misquoted. I was wondering if anyone has any idea about this? Hoping she was quoted correctly, but I'm just thinking that sounds too good to be true! Looking for the cheapest option to purchase 2 day tickets for 4 adults & 2 kids.....suggestions welcome!

Can you just go to AAA.com and price out the tickets? I priced out 2 day tickets for 1 child and 3 adults and it was close to $1,100 ( and that was before the prices increased)

Check what type of tickets they are. Maybe they are not hoppers or they expire.

Sounds to me like the agent maybe just priced out 4 adult tickets, not any child tickets. How old are the kids? Are they under 3 (in which case they don't need tickets)?

Last time I checked the AAA discount was maybe 5% (maybe less). I'll agree with the the poster who speculated the first price assumed the kids were under 3. $800 sounds about right for 4 adult hopper tickets.

Long shot. Could that AAA be offering some kind of kids play free promotion? Could that ticket deal only be applicable with a package including rack rate room. An alternative to free dining.
