AAA Diamond Pass ?

I'm on the phone with AAA right now but they don't seem to be able to really answer my question.

Can I get a AAA Diamond pass if I am not staying on the WDW property? I've been told NO then told yes but I have to have a 7 day pass (currently we have a 4 day). I asked if I upgrade to a annual pass would that be covered but she has put me on hold forever?

Since the AAA Diamond Parking Pass is a perk of and distributed by AAA, I would think whatever they tell you is accurate.

If you're talking about parking pass to give you better parking spots, some AAA offices give those out when you buy tickets.
If your talking about the Diamond Card that gives you discounts in and around WDW, that is only available to those booked on a package. This has to be shown WITH a room key to prove you're staying onsite, so then the Diamond Card wouldn't apply if you're staying offsite.

Our branch and the one where I used to live will only give the parking pass if you book a package with them. I have bought just tickets from them and not been able to get it. I think it is up to the branch.

I was just looking at the website for my AAA branch (AAA Northern New England) and according to their site, the diamond card and diamond parking are only given out when you book a package through them for a WDW resort.

I bought my tickets only through the AAA website and received a AAA parking pass with them.

I don't think any AAA offices sell annual passes (the APs include parking, but not in the AAA lot). Usually they just offer the diamond pass with a package with lodging, but apparently some vary. Our AAA office only sells up thru 7-day passes (not 10 days).
