AAA bookings- Do you have to use local branch?

We would like to book our trip with the Free Dining PIN we received but wondered if we use AAA do we have to book through our local branch or can any AAA office book it for us? We have used our local branch 5 times and they are awful. I always have to walk them through everything. Each time they act like they have no idea how to book with PINs and they seem to never know anything about Disneyworld. I end up doing ALL of the leg work. I like the little extras I get booking with AAA but wonder if another branch would offer better service.

There are two branches within 50 miles of where I live. The toll free number links me to the branch where I have not had a good experience. I now use an agent at the other branch and call them on their direct number.

AAA doesn't have the good freebies any more for WDW so I stopped using them. I used a WDW specialist AAA agent who is no where near where I live and she was much better than typical AAA but I still had to call when a new code came out. I'm using a disney specialist agency this time and the freebies they offer are much better--$$$ gift card, choice of WDW subscription, book, or autograph books, etc. It depends on cost of trip how much you get. They still do dining reservations if you want, room requests, etc. When the code came out yesterday my agent had it all changed over for me by 7am and I have a hard to get resort and room category. The other thing I don't like about AAA is that they charge their own $200 cancellation fee. When I book a room only under AAA I make the reservation through WDW and with a package there isn't really a AAA discount so I use my WDW specialist agent.

W live in MD, and I use a AAA office in NJ all the time, because at one time my mom booked our trips and we have always used the same branch even though we have a branch 2 miles away here. I hate our branch.

On a side note to another post, we have never been charged a $200 cancellation fee at all and we have cancelled before.

Local branches work independently. There's also central reservations that works as its own branch. But AAA has gone downhill. Their new promotions require full payment at time of booking and they switched from giving out visa gift cards to aaa GC - these are only good for the old junk they sell. Bottom line, useless...

I wouldn't book with AAA. I'd either book myself, or use a WDW specialized agency. They know what they are doing.

AAA office that I use does not require payment in full at time of booking nor do they charge their own cancellation fee. I do not however book airfare, we drive. Air fair booking is different.
