She I told her the new code ending in X I think this am and she said she was planning on calling anyways because you never know. She called back and said ASMO is full but I can get it at POP and it's about $100 savings.....what should I do???
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Help please. She left a message on my voicemail....this doesn't sound like anything you all have been saying...weird huh?

update I faxed her the info from mouseavers because she didn't believe me yesterday and today after they told her it was for Visa cardholders only, she wrote me off basically.

So I faxed it to her early afternoon and she leaves a message this evening [when I can't call back because they're closed] that there is in fact a code for AAA [didn't give it to me though] and it's all booked for the dates of my trip!! That's impossible.

Before I get too angry, how much money am I talking?? There are 5 of us 2 adults, 3 kids and we have park hoppers for 6 days no water park added. So, if it's under $100, no biggie...but if it's like $200, then I'm mad!

This is from Mousesavers

A few people have reported trying to book this package directly themselves and the reservations agent claimed they had to be a Disney's Visa cardholder to qualify. That is incorrect. What we've been told is that this is a co-promotion with Disney's Visa, to try and get people to SIGN UP for the Disney's Visa card. You do NOT have to have a Disney's Visa card to qualify for the discounted package. You may get a mailing from Disney's Visa with a sign-up offer. That's it. If the reservations agent says different, end the call and call back. Or use a Disney specialist travel agent as I suggest above -- it costs nothing and saves you all the phone calls!

I'd try calling your TA again, or call disney directly, it seems people who are persistant with it are getting the code applied. I don't have AAA, but I changed my reservation yesterday and nothing about Visa was ever mentioned. Good Luck

they make you work through them. I'd like to get the actual AAA code so I can give it to her. Who knows if it will save me money anyways....it shouldn't be this frustrating. Well, she's pretty irritated with me and doesn't believe me. She said the CM talked to her supervisor even. I told her what was posted on mousesavers. I told her I would fax the information to her [from mousesavers] and maybe that would help her out. It just might be that there's not a AAA code released yet.
Trish

This is definetly not true. I booked it (actually lowered rates) for 4 clients yesterday and I am a TA. You do have to choose between AAA rate and code but they should be able to book it for you. It appears that just don't want to do the extra work, I know yesterday it took 55 minutes to do the first one and than the rest went quicker.

I think we have the same AAA TA, lol! Mine got quite irritated with me too. I pushed the issue, however. I even called disney myself, then gave her the quote I got. She finally WAS able to apply it. Ended up saving me an additonal $90 off my original AAA quote.

My advice is to keep trying. Let her get irritated if she must, but you are only asking her to do her job.

she left a message at 5:30 [when I can't call back] saying she finally found out that yes in fact there was a special AAA code but NO they're already gone for my dates!!!! WHAT???? There's no way! I'm so mad!

Any ideas anyone? And I can't call and do it myself through Disney because I have an AAA package. Any AAA agents who can get the rate for me?

Trish

about $100 which would have been nice but no biggy....
I can't believe this is the deal we've been waiting for. Oh well....

On the bright side, maybe this means it won't be very crowded like when the free dining was offered.

Trish

TnTWalter: consider cancelling your AAA package, and booking directly with Disney.

discount on the room portion of my travel and tickets which saved about $250. If I could get this it would save maybe an additional $100 but if I cancel and book through Disney I would then be at a $150 loss. Does that make sense?

The tickets are just not where the savings are especially since I didn't want the water parks in the beginning of January.
Trish

I had a quote from AAA. When I told my TA about the code she E-Mailed and said it looked like the dates I wanted late Jan were already booked at the CSR but that she would try today as they were having computer problems. She did E-Mail me to say that in fact she was able to secure the new code the quote was only $40 lower than the original I got from them but it did include the add on for water parks and additional, which we may or may not use. $40 is something but frankly the deal is not anything that spectacular. I may call Disney direct just to compare costs.

I booked my entire trip thru AAA. I went to the office today & asked if I could use the code & she was very nice & said lets call & find out. Turned out I could. We are staying at POP. In the end our package was only reduced by 33.94. It's not much , but we'll take it. I don't know if we will take advantage of the plus features, but it's nice to know we could.

As far as not taking advantage of the plus features you may rethink that. I know we were going to go to PI at least once and I could get 1/2 off with my DDE card so it would have cost the two of us about $22.00 so we saved that on top of the $80.00 on the package itself. Also, the two of us, Moms of teenagers, would never had gone to DisneyQuest but since we will be at DTD to eat with the band at Planet Hollywood and they plan on leaving at about 7:30 to head back to Ohio we will stop into DQ so she can experience it. Back in 2000 when I last visited DQ I loved the virtual coaster and the pirate ship so we can enjoy those, look around and leave. We would have never done that even at the discount rate of $48.00 for the two of us. So you may yet use some of the plus options. While Mom shops Dad takes the kids to DQ maybe???

We might have to check out DQ since the code got it added to our tkts. It will only be DH & me, since somehow  we have a 16 yr old DD who is not interested in Disney. ( where did I go wrong? :confused3 ) I was very sad about this fact last year when we went without her, but I soon got over it.
This year I have10 days , so maybe we will use some of these options. Since kutchyone mentioned a pirate ship I may not be able to stay away from DQ.

That pirate ship thing was a hoot! I went into it with the 4 kids I was traveling with and we all laughes do hard. We were yelling and having a ball. What I did not realize was that the booths are not sound proof, boy was I embarresed when we came out. My friend and her husband said everyone standing in line were laughing at our antics inside. It really was fun as was the virtual coaster thing. Since were not paying for it Majorette Mom 2 and I will stop in so she can see what it's all about and then we will do a few of the things. Having not spent the money on it we will not feel obligated to do as much as possible.

I am able to book it for a client and save them 193 off the originally quoted AAA price that i got for them. Now I just wish I could get in touch with them to book it!!
