Has anyone heard about AAA 2008 discount? We are planing a trip Jan 19-25 during what was Value season but it looks like things have changed a bit. That is MLK holiday week.
Anyone know what kinda room discount to expect with All Star Movies?
Thanks!

It seems as though AAA rates are out. I believe they are still the same as they've always been. A 20% discount during value season for value resorts.

I just booked Pop Century for Feb 7-10(Thurs-Sun). The AAA room-only rate for standard was $65/per night/$75 for preferred. The CM and I were both surprised that the weekend rate was the same as the weekday.

Are AAA rates out for all of 2008? I just tried to inquire about end of April/early May and I was told they're not out yet.

Call back until you get someone that gives you the correct info. My 1st call this morning, I got the same answer you got. I called back and was able to add AAA discount to my reservations.

To the OP, our stay includes President's Day weekend, which is a higher rate, and it looks like I got 20% on the part of our stay that is Value season, and 10% on the Peak days and the President's Day weekend days. So I would think MLK would be the same.

I got the AAA discount on my room only rate for May 26-June 1....looks like 15% off for a deluxe...

I just joined AAA, I want to call WDW and apply a AAA discount to my room only reservation. I do not have my membership number yet - do I need this to book the AAA discount or do they check upon arrival?

I just called and had the AAA discount applied to our room only ressies in Jan at POP. I had to give them my AAA number which is different from the last time I booked a AAA room only ressie this past Dec. No number needed then. She said that things had changed. She took my # and put it on the ressies. I also questioned the rate ($65.60 per night for each night) since I thought weekends were supposed to be more. She said that they were and maybe it wasnt in the system yet. Also, no change of price over Presidents weekend (we have rooms booked from the 11-21 of Jan).:confused3
Who knows, something may still change, but at least I have my AAA applied as of now.

That's a bummer! I know the AAA room-only rates are available because I already received a confirmation email with the AAA rate. Call them back. You got one of the confused CMs.

Does anyone know if you can get the AAA discount for a package deal?

We would like to stay at the All Star, 7 day tickets, and the dining plan.

We are AAA members but. out last trip (and first) we stayed off site at time share. I just want to book the best possible way.

Thanks

I guess it just depends on who you talk to when you call. I requested the AAA discount and did not have to give my membership number. But I have seen where several said they did have to give their number, so I would be sure to have it on hand just in case.

I'll call my AAA office and see if they can give it to me over the phone this morning...thanks for the info!!!!!!!!!

My understanding is if you want to apply the AAA discount on a package, you must do it through an AAA agent. So to get the discount and the dining plan, you would have to go through an AAA agent. If you just want to do the room (and get your tickets separately and not get the dining plan) you can get the AAA discount on the room through Disney CRO.

I tried calling again this morning and the CM said the rate was available but was having a hard time applying it. She checked with Guest Services and they are also having problems since the new packages went live. I am supposed to hear back within a day or so, but I hope they get the bugs cleared out of their system!

That's good to hear-- I called about half an hour ago and was given the same information (although I was told to call back this afternoon). I was debating whether to try calling again to see if I got different information, but it sounds like what I was told was probably true.

I called this morning and got a 10% overall discount on my president's week at ASMu. What was originally $987 is $887. Not too bad. I was hoping for 15%.

I'm on hold now with WDW and they're telling me there aren't any AAA rates out for 2008. I said that I'm reading about what rates people have gotten. He said no way, but put me on hold.

Go figure.

bjg- I would just call back and talk to someone else. I was told they're definitely out (and obviously others have booked it already) but they're just having problems applying it to existing reservations.

Okay I booked our package last night with Disney Reservations. 7 nights, dining plan, hopper + water park :cool1: But today I called to get a quote from AAA since I am a member and the only savings would be $115.00??? does that sound right? I thought it would be alot better than that. What is the norm for the AAA discount  ? Thanks for any help
