With 4 people from Hong Kong complaining of SARS symptoms! Just heard on FOX.

I was listening to Steve Quayle today on the radio - he's a terroism expert. He said it isn't being widely publicized, but there is a fear that SARS was originated in a bioterror lab. I'm going to check out his website after I'm done DISing. Scary. :(

I flipped the channels around and MSNBC had a split screen of the Pentagon briefing and the flight. Said 125 aboard and officials are trying to decide what to do! Ambulances are around the plane. I hope they quarantine them!! Is a scary thing.

Holy cow how spooky!!!

Binny what a cuuuuuuuute picture!!

Bioterrorism has been my guess all along. Especially since they said that it wasn't.

Well that's certainly scary. Imagine all the planes that are landing and sick people getting off of them without anybody noticing.

I was talking to my neighbor last night and her friend just adopted a baby from China and they were in the town that it originated in a few weeks ago to get the baby. They are all sick now.The mother and baby are quarantined in the hospital and the aunt(she went with them) is quarantined to her house. They all have the symptoms and are REALLY sick.
This is so sad and scary.

antkim-I just saw a newsbriefing about this adopted baby! They said she is doing remarkably well at this point.

From the link posted above:

Others on the plane will be given medical advice and allowed to depart -- but told to immediately contact a doctor if they develop any symptoms, she said.

I thought I heard they would all be quarantined. It would make more sense.

The news I heard DID say that. This article says otherwise. I think the news may have changed what they said too! I wish they WOULD quarantine them! AH!

This is insane...

SIGH.......

:(

BibbidiBobbidiBoo-
Was it in Springfield Ma.?This is where they are in the hospital.I'll have to tell my neighbor it was on the news.
Again-Scary!

Yes, it was antkim. I saw it on cnn also. There was a press conference from a Dr. Donna Fisher (I think that was her name). She said the baby had been discharged.

It seems it would be impossible to stop this thing from spreading, with all the international travel that goes on. Let's hope they figure out how to stop this soon. I did see a doctor on TV that said only about 3% of the people that get this actually die - but that's 3% more than I can handle. :(

Saw on one of the news channels tonight that all 5 on this flight who were suspected to have SARS do NOT have it.

YEH! :)

I certainly hope that's the case, Beth. That would be wonderful!

Hi.. local news reports that 2 refused treatment, 3 were taken via ambulance to hospital-checked out completely and then released.

NONE of the 5 had complete symptomology of SARS.. but airline were cautionary with them anyway.

antkim.. so sorry about the family with the adopted infant.. I hope they all survive this battle.
