WOW!! That was a GREAT update! K, so first of all, those baseball videos are hilarious! Not only do I laugh when I kids play ball, I LOVE to watch them play soccer. It's like a pack of kids chasing ONE ball all over the field. I love the way Jake fell down when the first base coach was trying to help him get to second base. And Luke's robot dance was too funny!
TOTALLY loved the lady "snoozing" on the bench! I hope that if that ever happens to me, I just hope I don't drool or do the whole body jerk thing. She could've fallen off of that bench. Poor gramma!
Sorry to hear that you were feeling sick that day. I hope that we get to hear that you got to feeling better soon!

The video of Atlas was funny! They were both beautiful dogs.
I had a rottweiller too, he was a fantastic dog and also a big baby. I miss him, his name was Zeus.

Luke is a funny little boy, he just loves to dance.

Gotta love the need to be a trooper at Disney...especially at MK! I did too one day when we were there in June, and it ended up backfiring when we went for our anniversary dinner at CRT. Lucky for us, we got a little pixie dust that evening. I hope it didn't get much worse for you!

The dogs are so cute. Atlas is huge! We just dog sat recently and my doggy was in heaven. He loved the other dog so much.

The picture of the lady passed out on the bench made me crack up!

Your big dog visitors look like lots of fun! So cuddly! Hee! It shows me how much I don't know about dogs, because I'd be so scared that your dogs and their dogs would fight!

I'm missing Disney World a bit at the moment (I think it's because I know my sister will be there soon!) and your photos of the train and Haunted Mansion make me want to go back there even more! So much fun!

Sorry to hear about your icky tummy - it sounds almost exactly the same as the problems I had while there in January. I haven't written this part of my update yet, but at Epcot one afternoon I felt really dizzy too, and had to sit down straight away. Awful, isn't it?!

nope, they didn't fight. i've only seen dogs fight like that once and it was at night while we were camping. i think just being out in the woods with the fire and in the dark brought out the animal in them! but it was before we got sherman or eli so neither of them were involved.

i always miss disney world! being sick at disney stinks!

You're right, being sick in the MK is no fun! Sorry you were feeling so crummy. Luke is just the cutest. He cracks me up every time. I see that he and Pluto are still good buds.

i am really hoping that parker likes HM we have not been on it in the last 2 trips, 2 times ago it was under rehab, then last time, we thought it would scare him...excited to try it again, he will be over 2 next time so hope it works out good.

i'm sure he'll like it. i don't know how old he'll be but if he has any doubts just tell him it's a bunch of silly halloween ghosts!

Dawn- I enjoyed looking at all your pictures. I am so glad that is getting warm, but pollen really bothers me. I guess it is worth it though because I am sick of cold.

I am glad that your brother got to hold his little girl even if it was for a short time. I hope before long that he gets to see her a lot. It is good to her that your dog is getting better, I know you are relieved.

I loved the new HM! Not that i remember it before the refurb LOL but it was great this time. Crazy that there was such a long wait for it!

We didn't ride the WDW train because we were in super-cramasmuchinto7daysashumanlypossible-mode but next time we will have to give it a try. I can't believe that woman slept through the train whistle!

i know! HM is so fun. it's not my favorite but it's definitely a must-do.

Dawn the picture of the rottie watching tv is so funny. I am so sorry that you don't feel well. Funny I always drink milk when my belly doesn't feel good either. Luke was doing very well with the lines, I hope mine do just as well. I haven't been on HM because I was always scared but if Luke can do it, so can I.

i know! he was a hoot. usually i can deal with a icky belly but that day it was just really weird and unsettling. like i had food poisoning or something. we didn't have to wait in too many lines. he was great in all of them though. he never once said, "why do we have to wait in line?????" like a lot of kids do. you can totally do HM - it's really just silly and spooky!

I love that super-secret walkway between Tomorrowland and Toontown!

And pix from Haunted Mansion - my favorite ride - . I always try to get a pic of the hitch-hiking ghosts too; never comes out.

Oh, I can only imagine the way jealous women react to her! I agree, though, I don't have her body "type"...so, even if I were to work out HARD, I'd never have that body either! Ask her what kind of exercises someone with a small waist but a lot of junk in the trunk should do!

As for you TR...I was thinking of that woman sleeping on the bench! Y'all should've poked her! ha! Sorry to hear you weren't feeling so great, though...yuck! no fun!

i have the same type of body you do! i have a big back side and a small waist and i carry my weight in my butt and my thighs. i played soccer and did gymnastics as a kid and when you stop doing those things and get old all that muscle turns to not-muscle!!!! anyway, anna helps me a lot. i do lots of cardio (which i hate) to counter-act the bulk that tends to collect around my butt/thighs and i also do a good bit of weights when i do any leg and/or butt exercises to make it not-so-jiggly!

i bet luke would've poked that lady if we'd let him.

Now I'm envious of her muscles but wouldn't ever be mean to someone like that!!! I mean really have you ever noticed the really mean comments come from the ones who probably wouldn't ever dream of putting in the effort to get a body like that. Like you mentioned she works out and has a special diet....I for one would like her abs but I LOVE the bakery way too much so I'll hang onto my *ahem* roundness and just exercise to try and be healthy!

I also have to comment that you are doing a great job not showing how icky you were feeling in any of the pictures! I hate that feeling of okay here it comes....I'm getting sick but it's not a full blown sickness yet. Ugh!!! At that point I'm usually like come on....either get fully sick or go away!!!!!

exactly! anna eats really clean and is way more disciplined than most of us but she's by no means a diet nazi. i've seen her CHOW DOWN on hot dogs, hamburgers, ice cream and sweets lots of times. she just does it sparingly! i'm fairly "round" myself so i hear ya!

my stomach just wouldn't settle that day. it was odd! i didn't feel like i would puke but i was keeping the bathrooms at disney world busy if you know what i mean!

thanks! i LOVE watching little kids play soccer! i'm a big sister and grew up in a soccer family and it was so funny to watch my brother and sister play when they were little. it was like a swarm of bees flying around the ball! that lady was hilarious! i'm just glad she didn't fall off the bench.

when we got off HM it was around 5:15. we had ADRs at kona cafe at 6:30 and we wanted to check out the christmas decorations at the GF before dinner, so we decided to head for the park exit.

main street decorations as we left.....

it's amazing to me how different the lighting is on our cameras. the shot above is one i took and the one below is almost the same picture that anna took, yet the sky is a completely different color!

bye MK christmas tree! we'll see ya in a little while for wishes and spectro!

anna and chris has to drop off luke's stroller so ray and i went on ahead of them. i didn't want to be rushed to see the decorations at GF and then have to RUN to our ADR. i took this as we neared the CR on the monorail. i was trying to get the CR christmas tree in the picture!

my very sad attempt of a picture of the tree at the CR. this was taken from the monorail so it didn't turn out that good!

finally we made it to the GF. i love this hotel - so pretty! although i've never really wanted to stay there. it's too fancy for me!

the first thing we saw when we came in on the second floor was the GINORMOUS christmas tree. it was soooooooooo pretty!

of course the second thing we noticed when we got inside was the smell of gingerbread - it filled the air! and here's why........

this was the main reason i wanted to come here. i had heard about the gingerbread house and i had to see it with my own eyes. it smelled SO GOOD in there!!!!! even with my upset tummy i was almost drooling.

the ingredients.....

i love all the little details!

there's a little stand on the back of the house where you can buy cookies and different gingerbread treats!

i asked a nice lady standing nearby to take a picture.....

right about the time we were leaving, anna, chris and luke got there. it was about 6:00 at this point so i told them to take their time and check out the gingerbread house and me and ray were gonna catch a boat to the poly. i knew this would be quicker because getting on the monorail would take us ALL THE WAY BACK AROUND to MK, CR and then the poly. a boat ride would take us directly to the poly (the poly and GF share a boat and the route goes from MK to GF to the poly and back to MK).

i snapped this while we were waiting on the boat....one of our favorite restaurants, narcoosee's!

we didn't have to wait long before a boat showed up and we had it all to ourselves! it was nice. a little chilly, but nice.

apparently as anna and company were leaving, she wanted to get some pictures of luke and chris in front of one of the christmas trees. this is what she got......

so finally she gave up and chris pretended luke was standing there smiling like they wanted him to!

she took this on the way to the boat dock at one of the store windows. i love the mickey head christmas ornaments on the trees!

we checked in at kona cafe and told we'd be "buzzed" as soon as our table was ready. so i walked around a little and found some locally-made gingerbread "houses".

this is the christmas tree near the door leading out to the monorail....

right after i took the above picture a man walked by and said, "oh, too bad you didn't get me in that picture!" so i took a picture of him, too.

these were on the sushi/coffee bar area.....

i thought this bartender holding the jack was cute!

anna and company showed up soon after and we all stood near the kona entrance against the railing. as we were standing there, i looked over to my right and saw a man standing there and suddenly my brain clicked..... HEY, I KNOW HIM!!!! THAT'S SCOTT FROM THE DISBOARDS!!!!!!!!

as soon as he saw me he knew me, too. it was so awesome meeting him unplanned like that! he and biff had just arrived that day. we talked about our trips, how i wasn't feeling well, how we'd FROZEN the day before at DHS, the monsoon we had at epcot the day before and about what MVMCPs we were going to. then we took a picture. it was so funny - i never heard the new york come out in his accent until biff couldn't figure out the camera and then i heard it!

it was soooo nice to meet you guys, scott!!!! i'm glad we ran into you.

we were called to our table so i told scott goodbye and we sat down. he ended up coming by our table later when they left (apparently they eat faster than us!) and he says he ran over a wheelchair after he said bye again but i didn't see him do it so he must have hid it well!

i was gonna go through kona dinner but i think i'll stop here because it's getting late.

next up......pineapple envy (sorry for the teaser last time!) and a change of plans!!!!

It was great meeting all of you too. I was shocked I ran into you there.

The Grand Floridian and the Polynesian are so beautiful with all of their Christmas decorations. The gingerbread houses are great -- I can almost smell them (gingerbread is my favorite Christmas scent)!

Too cool that you were able to meet Scott and Biff!

I like to visit the Grand Floridian, because it is beautiful, especially at Christmas, but I don't care anything about staying there. It's a little above my classiness, which is not much. We have a goal to stay at all the resorts for at least one night, though, so I suspect there will be a time when I will have to act very sophisticated for one night so that they'll let me stay there!

Your pictures at Poly make me easily transport myself to be walking through there. I can hear the sounds of the people and the water...I think that is such a pretty lobby. I definitely am going to stay there someday, and hopefully for more than one night. We'll be back there for another visit at the end of this year. I wish I could capture the feel as well as the sights in pictures. Maybe I will video instead, because there's just something about that place that I really like.

That's crazy that you ran into Scott accidentally. The Dis gods were smiling upon you!

Okay you're going to laugh at me..but I think that all the resorts on the monorail have their own smell. The GF's smell is my favorite though. And I just love when you walk into the lobby from the monorail and you can hear the band playing. When we took my grandparents there, we had to stay a little while because they loved sitting in the lobby to listen to them. We come all the way to WDW and they love the band in a resort! Go figure.

Seeing all these Christmas pictures in May is making me want it to be Christmas time again! The gingerbread house in the GF is soooo cool, I hope its up by the time we go this November. We visited the GF and while its beautiful in there, I agree with you and don't really have any urge to stay there because its too fancy for me! The Poly on the other hand, my favorite resort and I will save and save until I can afford to stay there!

That was pretty cool that you met Scott, I've still yet to meet ANYONE from the Dis!
