A Wish for Keira, our Pre Trip Report

We got a little something in the mail today!!

When Keira gets home I'll get some pics and post them w/ more details.

Just joining in!!!! You will have the most amazing time. So happy for Keira!!! Cancer is scary but it sounds like she is a fighter!! My cousin had leukemia when we were kids, and she just turned 39, and has 2 beautiful children!! She had a MAW trip when she was 6 too!! So happy for you guys!!!!

Well, Keira has been chosen to be a part of the BIG GIVE!!!

Today the kids got their first gift.

A $25 Gift Card for Disney! So the kids can buy some goodies!

We appreciate it! Keira was so excited and she even read the card. She's in 1st grade, so reading is a big deal to her right now.

My daughter, Brooke, had Wilms, too! She had her kidney removed at age 2.5 years, but she is now 4 and doing fabulously!

And, can I please say how much I love her 'Survivor' photos of her scar. Love it!

Awww, thank you! Brooke is precious too! Keira was about a month shy of 5 when she had her tumor out, and then of course the found the second one 4 days before she turned 6. I'm praying this is it. She had a pretty light round of chemo the first time around.

I just went through and read your PTR, their stories are so similar.

I think they were diagnosed about the same time too. April 2010?

The kids are in love with their outfits! I let them try them on and Keira said, I think I will wear this the first day. LOL! And I told Cooper, ok, lets put regular clothes back on, NO, he said. So they still have their outfits on.

I love seeing the kids in the outfits. I am going to show them to my girls a later on. They'll love seeing them too. Have a great time at Disney and enjoy every minute. I've gone through cancer twice as an adult and I know how difficult it can be. I can't imagine a little one having to go through it twice. What a brave little girl you have!
