A Wigdout trip report, DISmeets, Flashing Jelly Rings and Manpris, Oh MY!

:headache: My Michigan born Grandma used to say warsher. It just hurts my ears to hear!! She also said hamburgs (odd but didn't bother me) and K-Mark (another one that makes me cringe)

My 8 year old tried telling me that if you can spell "ain't" that it must be a word. I told him I can spell blibbity-blobbity but that doesn't make it a word!

How about birfday from a grown-up? I do know a friend that says that.

Yes, I cringe when she says it.

I've heard K-Mark from a few people, too.
Our K-Marks are not so great, so I don't ever shop there.
I forget they exist until I happen to go on the side of town that has one.

Being of Disney mind, my first thought was: Blibbity-blobbity-bloo! :)
It's almost magic, but not quite. ;)

wigd, if 'The Ghost and Mr. Chicken' counts as a scary movie, then I will recant my previous statement regarding scary movies. :)

:scared1: on your last day.....well at least you had some good Cobb salad in your belly to tide you over....regarding the airports you do just kind of have to go with the flow and accept what happens....one reason I hate flying out of here in the winter with all of the snow and deicing....

Looking forward to your souvies! :thumbsup2:

 with all of your southern (isms)

I got engaged at the SC State fair in 1991! At the top of the ferris wheel (last romantic thing he ever did...) :lovestruc Honestly, it ruined me for any other state fairs. They're just not the same.

(I've completely hijacked this trip report, so I will say that I'm looking forward to your souvenir pictures.)

OK, so I am seriously late to these updates - but what a PINA ride home!! :scared1: No fun at all! Baylor's comment made me laugh...it sure did look like a Hillbilly Hotel! :rotfl:

Take care and have a great week!

Leaving Disney World is always bad, but I think your last day was the worst. I am glad you finally made it home safely. Thanks for sharing your trip, it was great.

We might have been there! We left Columbia in April 1992.

There sure is a lot of costume drama! My kids were easy this year. Big brother had a batman costume several years ago that was a no-brainer choice for little brother this year. Big brother found a knight costume at 75% off last year after Halloween and has been asking to get it out for about 2 months now.
Well, if you checked my spelling tests you would see there are a lot of words that can be spelled that aren't really words.....
Can you believe all of this costume drama? I hope Connor decides on something soon!

I'm not crazy about K-Mark either, it seems dirty....

Not magical but kind of cute!

I think that Cobb Salad was the one saving grace of the day. Thank goodness for HBD!

I think a proposal on the ferris wheel at the SC State fair is very romantical indeed! OK, I know that romantical is not a word....

Probably no major update until Friday. It's conference week. I'll be working both Tuesday and Thursday evening.
:sad2:

Well, we've stayed at worse, but it was a long, long time ago....
Leaving Disney World is always bad, but I think your last day was the worst. I am glad you finally made it home safely. Thanks for sharing your trip, it was great.
Thanks for coming along! I enjoyed you being here!

Oh cool would that be?

Two nights of conferences in one week... yikes! Although we are tomorrow and then again next Monday night.

This will be a long day for you. I know you will be happy to fall into bed tonight. We're doing conferences Friday.

I'm excited to see what you have in the works Disney-wise. :)

I was a few pages behind...

Seeing Denny's pictures of EE reminded me that I had yet to upload the Flip Video of our front seat ride back in June.....

Thanks for posting that - great video!!!

NO, they would not comp us a room, it wasn't their fault, so we should prepare ourselves for a night in the terminal....

You've got to be kidding me!
NO WAY IN "H E double hockey sticks" am I sitting in an airport over night......

Continued in next post.....

As I was reading this I went from :cloud9: what a lovely way to wrap up a trip at the Brown Derby to :sad2:!!! Oh.my.word. That is horrible!!!!

I promise you the toothbrushes were made of cardboard.....

I've been there. :sad2:

I laughed out loud at Baylor grinning ear to ear about the taxi though - despite the horrible night, no toiletries, a cardboard toothbrush, he's happy! :goodvibes

Pssssssst! We faxed off a contract to the Timeshare Store this evening......

:yay::yay::yay: 100 points for the Beach Club??

As far as "Washer", "Washing Machine", "Washer Machine", or "Warsher", MANY Minnesotans say "warsher". Drives me nutty.

But generally it's either "washer" or "washing machine".

Minnesotans do have a boatload of weird terms though. I remember when I first moved here, every once in a while someone would say something and I hadn't a clue what they were talking about! And I was just from Chicago!

I am dying for a day off... we work everyday from Labor Day to the Wed before Thanksgiving..... I would love a fall break, even a day....

Do tell.... what are you going for-----

Okay I'm all caught up and UGH what a way to end your trip!! I don't blame Baylor one bit for commenting on the hillbillyness of the Red Roof Inn!! OY to the Vey!!! I'm sure you were glad to get home!!!

I have also been following the "southern" way of speaking conversations. I can definitely say as another gal from Kansas I definitely do not use the term "warsher" LOL!!

AHhh did you get more points!!??
I sure hope so!:goodvibes

Are you able to get them all in on Friday?

I'm excited to see what you have in the works Disney-wise. :)
We are playing the waiting game right now, have to pass Disney's Right of First Refusal on the contract.

I've missed you!

Hey that ride in a taxi cab just made his day!

:yay::yay::yay: 100 points for the Beach Club??
Yay, yay, (actually it's a few more)

It was always the same for me, but now I like calling it the "washer machine".

Minnesotans do have a boatload of weird terms though. I remember when I first moved here, every once in a while someone would say something and I hadn't a clue what they were talking about! And I was just from Chicago!
I love local dialects.... fascinating! Feel free to share the language!

I'm so glad for this Friday, after that we have Vetran's Day off, then Thanksgiving break.....

Do tell.... what are you going for-----
150 points at Beach Club! With some banked that have to be used by Feb. 1.
I don't think we will close by our Dec. trip.....
Won't be going back until the end of May....
Trying to figure out what to do with 120 points that we probably can't use...

You're getting more points???
I think so! They say closing will happen in about 8 weeks.

It was just a nasty little place, but it was better than sleeping in the airport... That would have freaked me out!
I'm not sure where "warsher" came from, but is does sound very harsh!
