A Wigdout Spring Break Adventure very short pre-trip report

OK, maybe I am "stretching" it a bit........I was kindly escorted to the hallway as Puu put it. I just prefer to say I was booted, so I can BRAG that I have been there, done that!! LOL I just stayed until the chatroom was closed. NOW, BEFORE everyone says that doesn't count.........let me have my own little party with this........I mean, I won't have any cute and fancy bags to carry at the parks, I won't get to "fine" dine....merely stand at the windows of those TS places and drool, I am new and will surely be at the wrong park on the most crowded day, I haven't gotten to stay on hold waiting "patiently" to make ADRs, I certainly won't have any manpris to start a new trend, especially if those are the only colors they come in, So other than having my "own" vehicle and being BOOTED from chat the other night, there isn't a lot I can brag about.........so it DOES count!!!

Oh, and I know we won't have "pins" to trade either, unless we trade the ones we get for First Time Visitors!!! I had actually thought about going on Ebay and buying a few like you have Wigd., but I was truly afraid we would end up doing exactly what YOU have apparently done............just buying them for "us" to keep and not to trade.........looking forward to you post to see all your new TREASURES!!!

P.S. can I change my guess for the pool to a Baker's Dozen, I just feel like that with a couple of months in there, Wigd will end up getting some additional accessories that would probably look better at other places than the ones she has ADRs for!!!!

Purchasing your pins on ebay is a great way to save money and they are not like the ones you will have for first visit. I bought a "lot" of pins on ebay and paid about $1.89 per pin (that's a good deal in my book ) I didn't have a clue what I wanted to collect in the beginning but am more focused at this point ..... More about the pins later

In my opinion you got more of a boiiiing than a boot the other night, but if you want to call it a boot them by all means do

Oh bd the world of Disney "pins" is just starting for you.

1. There is that "first visit" and other celebration pins
2. There are all those fancy pins that you can trade
3. Then there are those Pins that show up in the mail to save you money on another Disney trip. Those are my personal favorite.

OK, Wigd, now I am more anxious to see what pins you have decided to KEEP from your Ebay purchase........since you are more focused......LOL What you did, even at a cheap cost, proved I would have been correct in NOT making the purchase......I truly had gotten on Ebay and thought, well here is something the kids can do, walking around trading with the CM's......then I thought, why would they trade after all any I bought them would be the ONLY ones they had and it would be something else to slow us down in the parks........not that I am going at this trip commando style mind you!!!!!!! Anyway, I look forward to seeing the PINS you have decided to keep, since the only ones we have seen were the FEW you plan to trade!!! LOL

BEAN, I am with you, them podcasters move fast and it's "work" to keep up with them. Last night I came in late enough to be able too, the week before, they were going soooo fast and there were soooo many of them, before I could read a line, the whole page would change.....LOL I sort of enjoyed it last night since it was slower, but truth be told for a "newbie" like me, I learn much more from the Diser's on just about any OTHER night!!! Though being fair, they do draw a crowd for the board and that's good for everyone!!

SEPT., geez Thanks for pointing out that my girls will have YET another thing to WISH they could do like EVERYONE else!!! No pin trading for us on this FIRST Trip and I am hoping that with everything Disney has to offer, that they won't even notice folks like Wigd who will be looking to trade for SPECIFIC type pins now that she is "focused"!! LOL After hanging around all of you, I "might" enjoy one of those with a "code" on it, but we won't know for sure until we CONCLUDE this first trip.

One final note, I left last night before I was BOOTED again!! I don't care what you say Wigd. I felt BOOTED, I was removed, I couldn't return, I WAS BOOTED!!! Boiiiing OUT i went!!! I knew you pros wouldn't let me count it!!

This is a 4th and 5th grade annual competition at his school and both daughters having been students there many years ago I was well aware of what this would entail.

I did look for some pins today at Walmart..........shucks they didn't have any!! LOL Guess if my girls do ask about them, I will tell them I know somebody that bought a bunch that will have them with her, since she didn't want to trade them after she bought them and that I "looked" for some and the store I went to was "out" of them!!!! Next stop for me, paint dept. at Home Depot!!

That this thread is more fun to read on a random week-day night than the disney channel is to watch on a snow day when they have a Mickey Mouse Club House marathon....
