That's nothing! My car is covered. Like you can hardly see it!:rotfl:

(Oh, and to the person who asked about my 'crappiest place' location...I don't live in any of the fine cities mentioned here.;))

We got a few flurries here in Austin. Nothing much, just enough for my boy to exclaim it a "Christmas miracle".

That wind was something else! I bet it was blowing 30 mph, at least! BRRRR. We decided to go to church for the candlelight service. The roads were a lot worse than we expected, especially coming home. We have a 4WD Jeep, so not a lot of problems, but we saw one fender bender, one guy fishtail, and a Jacguar that couldn't make it up a little bitty hill. DH jumped out to push them.

When we got home there was a little drift of snow next to the driveway! about 8 inches worth!

Sure hope we'll be able to make it to my mom and dad's tomorrow, and my brother, too.

Ya'll have a very merry WHITE Christmas! :thumbsup2

Omg...I felt like I was back in North Dakota with the freezing wind!! It was crazy taking care of the horses today!! They are not so happy in this crap...

I finally got the one dried off enough to put his blanket on too....just checked on them and they are both warm and dry under their blankets! :goodvibes

Here's DD18 and our crazy puppy (who doesn't feel the cold and wanted to stay out all day!!)

I love the pictures.

It looks pretty outside right now but it sure is COLD! This stuff should melt tomorrow but sadly it's apparently going to be awfully cold for the next several days. Blech!

83 years since Dallas has had a white Christmas according to WFAA online. Today's snow will stay because it is below freezing.

Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night.........

Stupid weather.....DH is getting a hotel tonight because we don't think it's safe for him to drive the hour drive home from work. :sad2:

I will miss him, but I didn't want him driving home at midnight on icy roads...I would have been a nervous wreck....hopefully he can get home by 10 so the girls don't have to wait to long to open presents...

My 18yodd is going to be so pissed when she wakes up and sees this. We move from Flower Mound to MO and what does it do in TX on C. Eve?

.....SNOW! :lmao:

(We have gotten all rain so far here in MO.)

Stay safe everyone! My dd's BF was driving to El Paso and wrecked. Everyone is OK however they ended up in a hotel.

We only received a dusting but snow is snow so we can say we had a White Christmas. It's about all melted off now......

My crazy DH left work at 4:30 this morning and it took him 2 hours to get home. He had to leave the car about a half mile down the street because the Camry got stuck in the snow drifts on our street. I live in the sticks and our streets don't get much traffic. He said he saw a ton of cars in the ditches...even a 2010 brand new CAMERO (my dream car). No way would I have taken a Camero out in that mess. He could have make it through the snow if he had my truck, but trucks aren't the greatest in the ice....

But we're all safe and warm in the house now...hopefully the roads clear up a little because we want to see some movies later!

We still have snow this morning. First white Christmas in Texas for us! :goodvibes

Took the dogs out to play in the snow!! They had so much fun...now it's present time since the teens are up!! :cool1:

My DS15's friend and family were traveling to their ranch in Texas. They had a terrible experience in Dallas. They were stuck on the plane for hours and then had to spend the night in the terminal. They finally got to the ranch yesterday afternoon. I'm glad they all are safe.

Yes, in places that stay shady all day. It got up to 42 yesterday. The roads were clear by noon, except for the shady spots and the overpasses. It was sunny, calm winds, and cold -- an absolutely beautiful day. Today is supposed to be a carbon copy, if I'm not mistaken. Hope you had a very Merry Christmas!
