A WDW Dream Vacation in the Making for Katelyn PTR

Katelyn looked so gobsmacked! Love it!! What a great hoard of goodies, too! :lovestruc

She really was gobsmacked!!! :) I have never heard that word, but I am totally loving it!!! May have to use that one in the future!! You guys are getting close now, right?!?!?!? :cool1:

My girls had pink streaks in their hair earlier this year. They also had hair bling during the winter. They loved it. Now all their friends are getting feathers but they haven't wanted them yet.

When my girls were little, they were scared of the the Snow White ride because of the evil queen. So every time we saw her we yelled boo. They thought it was funny and looked forward to yelling at the evil queen.

I love the Nemo ride and Test Track the best at Epcot and I like the shows at Hollywood Studios. My favorite ride at Animal Kingdom is the Kilimanjaro Safari or Kali River Rapid but I LOVE the Lion King Show and the Nemo show there! I love all the rides at the Magic Kingdom!

Katelyn just had feathers, but she decided that they hurt when she brushed over them & so they got a big knot around them & they had to come out in order to get the knot out. She wasn't very happy about it, but I am thinking we both may need some red, black & white feathers before the trip!! ;)

The Scarey thing on Snow White is that the witch pops out. If your mom lets you, you can go onto youtube and type in disney world snow white ride and then you can see video of the ride to see if you'd like it or not. I saw Mickey's Philharmagic on there too!! lots of rides to preview if your nervous! Mickey's philharmagic is so cute - its 3D, so you wear the glasses. Donald steals mickey's sorceror hat and the adventure begins - lol - through some classic Disney movies like lion king, Aladdin etc. Its very musical!! I like the Pooh ride alot too - its so cute!! Turtle Time with crush is in EPCOT and oh so CUTE!! Its amazing how he interacts with the audience!! Next time I go to EPCOT, I think I want to do the pick a pearl thing in china - that sounds like fun!:goodvibes

Wendy, I just have to say thanks for chatting with Katelyn tonight!! I bet this won't be the last of your conversation!! ;) She was so excited when a new message would pop up!!! :cloud9: I will have her read your last comment tomorrow when she gets up!! Thanks again!!

Woo-hoo for another big give package! :cheer2::cheer2::cheer2:

Not sure if you saw my note on a previous page but Jordan was thrilled that you liked her drawing and put a photo of it on the internet so thank you for doing that.

It sounds like Wendy answered a lot of Katelyn's questions but I will jump in and agree. Snow White is usually not scary to older kids. Wendy's idea to watch it on youtube is a great one! For your first roller coaster, I would try Big Thunder Mtn before moving on to Space Mtn, Expedition Everest or Rock N roller coaster. Wendy also had great suggestions on her favorite things in each of the parks. Ask away Katelyn (and Mom) and we can all chime in!

jumping in on the roller coaster's!
Megan (11) LOVES Big Thunder, Exp everest and went on Space mtn for the first time in April and LOVED it! we haven't done RnRC as of yet, might try it on this trip and along with ToT :scared1: we haven't done Snow White ever either, is it still open? thought it was getting removed with the expansion of FantasyLand and the new snow white ride :confused3.

hope you get to spend a good chunk of time at Epcot exploring the world showcase, lots of fun little goodies to pick up as souveniors from each country!

which rollercoasters are super jerky and is the aerosmith one gentle or does it bang really bad maybe ill ride it then decide if its to jerky for mackenzie she has spina bifida just like katelyn but i am guessing her doctor cleared her for it so it should be ok for mackenzie too. I dunno lol

K's neuro cleared her for ALL rides!! We had always been told no roller coasters, but he said go for it!! :woohoo: Although, RnR was pretty smooth as I remember, I wouldn't put her on Space Mountain. I personally LOVE it, but I don't think she would. She is quite an Aerosmith fan, so I really think she just wasnt to go because it is Steven Tyler!! :rotfl:

Snow White is still there but will be demolished soon for a Princess meet & greet I think. K is convinced that she is riding ToT, but that is the one I am not looking forward to!! I HATE the feeling of falling, but because she wants to I am gonna suck it up!!! :scared1: It may not be pretty, but I am doing it!! :rotfl: We are planning on a whole day at Epcot. ;) Can't wait!!

I'm not real sure about ToT either, but if my girl wants to go, I have to suck it up too!
maybe we will get snow white in too!
happy you have a whole day planned for Epcot, it takes at least that to see everything.

If you need someone to go on ToT with Katelyn I'd be happy to help out!!!!;) RnR coaster is pretty smooth and its so fast its over before ya know it!

Katelyn - do you like log flumes like Splash mountain? At Sea World, there is a fun log flume ride that I loved. There is a roller coaster there called Manta that you actually lay down in!! I didnt get a chance to ride it though! Are you going to do to downtown Disney? Its a fun place to shop!!!!:wizard:

Downtown Disney is a shopping lover's paradise!!! lol...there is a huge store called the World of Disney that has everything!!!! There are also alot of other fun stores there too!!! If you have some free time, head over if you can. Its open pretty late at night.

I have a pretty good stuffed animal collection myself!!! My favorites are a round stuffed Pooh, Eeyore and Tigger that I got on 3 different trips to Disney. This is a picture of my dog Zoey hugging the Tigger one

Just popping over to say hi. I've read your PTR and it sounds like you have everything all set and are counting down the days (hours and minutes...). Getting some red, black and white feathers before your trip sounds like fun. Mabye some coordinating crackle nail polish too.

As for roller coasters at the parks I will add my two cents....My DD tried Rock n Roller coaster on our last trip. She is not that daring but I think she liked RNR but probably kept her eyes closed the entire time. I think that because it is a newer, metal coaster RNR is pretty smooth. Also, since the harness comes from above I feel more secure in the seat and feel like I don't get bumped around as much. When we do ride Thunder Mountain my husband will put his arms around the kids and holds them close (or just puts his arm across the back of the seat) so they don't bump their heads on the back/sides of the seat. Carrie, I think you are probably right on with not going on Space Mountain. I felt nervous going on this ride with my DD since we couldn't "hold" onto her.
