A WDW Dream Vacation in the Making for Katelyn PTR

What a fun day you had a Six Flags and how great they let you take part in it! BEAUTIFUL PICTURES!!! Our MAW chapter is having a fun day/fundraiser at Carowinds, a local them park, in September. They have asked us to help with the fundraising; however, said we were not able to attend the festivities in the theme park since we aren't a real wish family (The Wish Granters said it is because we have not yet taken our trip). I am happy you were included, it is obvious Katelyn was having a blast! I Scooby Doo He was the one and only lunch box I had growing up.

The lanyards are ADORABLE!! So cute!! I watched Lisa's reveal video a couple of nights ago!! Oh my goodness... I was bawling like a baby!! She is beautiful!!

Thank you! She is my little beauty, I am an incredibly blessed mom, just like you. The reveal still makes me cry every time I watch it. Lisa's website is Belle/Beast themed and plays the theme from Beauty and the Beast. I can't hear that song without tearing up.

AWESOME!!!! Love your day and your gifts!! Nice that she was able to "practice" getting pics with the characters at Six Flags!! Its super rainy here as we are getting ready for Irene!!!

and Prayers Wendy. As you know, we have lots of friends/family near your area. I can't help but think of all those babies at CHOP. Please know I am thinking of everyone in harm's way...but I keep putting myself in that hospital with my baby's chest wide open. Then I think of that scene playing out all up and down the East Coast. Wendy, praying for news that you, your family and house are all well.

We got a HUGE surprise yesterday!! On Saturday's trip to Six Flags, we got to see our Dream manager, which was a huge bright spot of the day, because we love her!! She is fabulous!! SO...she had told me at Six Flags that she had tried to get Katelyn in to see Selena Gomez, but she never heard back from her publicist, so it was a no go.

SO...fast forward to Monday!! It is about 1:30 and we are getting ready to take the car to the shop. (yes...my life is sooo exciting!! ) and I get this call from my Dream manager. She is crying...excited...all kinds of emotional. And I couldn't understand a word!! So she calms down enough to tell me that she had heard from Selena's agent & that there was a SLIGHT glimmer of hope that we might be able to go to the concert. The concert sold out pretty fast...how was she gonna pull this one off?!?!?! So we agreed that she would keep me informed, but in the mean time, MUM's the word. Not knowing if it was gonna happen or not, we would just not say anything to Miss K. Okay...Katelyn knows at this point that something is up. But we go on with our day....waiting...waiting...and then a call!!! Okay...looking good, but still no word yet!! (this was at 3:00) So we are "patiently" waiting...wondering...K keeps looking at us trying to catch the smallest hint of what is happening around her!!

Around 4:30ish, I decide to call to see if we had any word...it takes almost an hour to get there & we still had to get gussied up!! So I am talking to her & she is telling me that she has been sitting in front of her computer hitting refresh...refresh...refresh...and has heard NOTHING!!! So we are just about ready to hang up, when she yells....WAIT!!! You're in...you're in! So I tell Debbi, that I want her to tell Miss K the surprise!! She worked so hard on it all that she should get the benefit of telling her!! So as Debbi is telling her, I am taking the pictures!!

So here are a few pics from the concert. We did get to meet Selena afterwards, but they take the photos & you have to go to their site to download them. As soon as our pic is downloaded, I will post it!! It was a FABULOUS night thanks to the Dream Factory!!

It was so amazing!!! To see her face...priceless!!! Selena waved to her during the concert, & the look of amazement was so great!! All she talked about was how sweet Selena was!!

Oh my gosh!! The Dis'ers are SOOOO talented!! They are just amazing!! Katelyn is usually the big trend setter in our area for patterns for her KAFO's. Normally, she will get to shop online for the pattern, but this time she just loved the pink "camo" (I don't think it looks much like camo) the previous pair were pink snake skin!! She is a "wild" child!! LOL!!

I think Katelyn and Gabbie would have a blast shopping together. Gabbie flipped through a ring of color choices for her AFO's and chose the pink camo (I agree it doesn't look like camo to me either) as it was the flashiest one, AND the ortho said he'd get glitter in there for her too. She will be getting a new bedroom here this winter and wants to decorate it hot pink and zebra print. The brighter the better!

I think they would make a PERFECT pair!!! Although, I am going to have to talk to our ortho, since he never offers glitter!! We always tease him & tell him we want zebra fur on the next pair!!

Katelyn just redid her bedroom & she has zebra, hot pink, & the walls are lime green!!!

I am soooo glad you liked the lanyards and the purse. I saw that you liked lime green and thought I had the perfect fabrics. I hope it is large enough for all of the cool stuff you will carry around during your trip. Sorry I did not include a note but I wanted to get the package in the mail quickly. Katelyn just redid her bedroom & she has zebra, hot pink, & the walls are lime green!!!

My two girls would LOVE that bedroom! We re-did their rooms a couple of years ago and their bathroom was done last summer. The bathroom is hot pink but we didn't do zebra stripes. I didn't think of that but they would have loved it! Instead we did a lime green shower curtain with different, bright colored daisies on it.

My younger DD has the same shirt that Katelyn is wearing, the pink and white one with the black dots on it. I think she outgrew it over the summer though. I am just about to go through their clothes from last winter to decide what to sell this fall.

The Selena concert must have been awesome! The pictures of Katelyn on phone, hearing the news are great! You got some really good pictures.

We had a fun day today!! The Dream Factory of St. Louis had a special day at Six Flags!! We had lots of fun!! Got to see some old friends & meet some new ones!!

Including...Daffy and Sylvester

AND...Scooby Doo!!

We got to see the Mystery machine!!

As usual, I am late for the party... Hi everyone!

I just have to say that I love Katelyn's lime green room! My youngest dd chose lime green for her room last year - and WOW - our eyes were bugging out for at least a week. We are all used to it now though.

Looks like you had an awesome time at 6 flags and to meet Selena - HOW AWESOME!!! I can't wait to hear about the rest of your trip and see all the BG items - everything is so awesome so far!
