After several attempts on previous trips that didn't work out because they were closed or timing didn't work out, I finally made to down to Haines City, FL (about an hour south on I-4 from WDW) to visit the Mouse Surplus warehouse.
As WDW refurbishes rides, resorts, etc, Mouse Surplus buys the old furniture, signs, fixtures, and some merchandise and resells it. Some on ebay, some from their warehouse. The warehouse is part yard sale and part Disney parks museum. Unfortunately the monorail they have was locked away in a warehouse without light so no photos of it.
Nestled amongst the orange groves, this old trailer turned sign lets you know you've found it. (note that the phone number here as well as the one on the website is wrong) The hours on the website are wrong, they open at 11 not 10 and are open on Sundays.
The company is Detroit based but has warehouses near WDW and DL so there is a bit of DL items in this Florida warehouse as well.
These Soarin' signs were probably on light poles in Epoct
If you missed this item from Disney Auctions for $500, it can still be yours for only $1350. Better rush, they only have 2 in the warehouse.
I'm only drawn expensive
I'm guessing this was in a gift shop somewhere
Horizons ride vehicle. Only $10k
$22,500
They have a good selection of classic Epcot stuff. I think the "we can do it" button was distributed to all the construction workers on site.
I remember these signs. $2800
If memory serves, this christmas tree was Goofy's and was near a character meet and greet in Animal Kingdom 5 years back or so.
From the final scene of the Safari at Animal Kingdom.
This parade vehicle was used both for the green army men from Toy Story and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles back in the day.
Pin trading kiosk?
