Agreed. Luckily, we were so bundled up throughout our trip that we were never bothered by any mosquitos. I guess that's one advantage of the cold.

We have thought about moving near WDW, but the weather is always a pretty big deterrent. Plus, now that we're back close to family, I don't foresee us moving back to the east coast any time in the near future. I certainly won't rule it out for someday, though, even if it's not until we're old and retired. I'd love to have the experience of being a WDW local.

We loved Cindy, though. We met her on the 3rd day of the cruise when we dined in Triton's for breakfast and then we saw her throughout the cruise in different dining locations. She was always so nice. We left her a nice comment card.

That is really funny! Good old Table 7. It's crazy how they have to have three complete staffs for the different dining rotations. And I'm glad you got to meet Cindy and enjoy her excellent service!

I am on my first cruise to Alaska next year, the 7-day cruise, so I am anxiously awaiting the reports for the ports we will visit. What was the cost of the Alaska cruise blanket? That one is on my must-get list during my trip.

The captain really is everywhere. One evening, on our way to dinner, the elevator doors opened and there was the captain, bent over in the elevator, picking up paper off of the floor.

You know, I had absolutely no idea when you asked this. I talked to Tracy, and she seems to remember that he had to have the water taken away because he nearly knocked it over. I think it might be a lost cause.

I'm so glad that you've been enjoying the reports!! You'll have such an awesome time on the cruise next year, and I promise I'll get through the reports on all the ports you'll actually visit before you sail! The cruise blanket (I think) was $20. It's the 2014 logo, though, so it'll probably be different next year.

It was much easier to find people using the #dclalaska hashtag on our cruise because we were the first ones of the season! I'm sure by now there are thousands and thousands of pictures, but when we checked there were only a few. Sarah is @sarahrivas89, and then we just went through the people she followed and found a few other faces we recognized from the cruise staff. Sounds a little stalker-ish, I know, but that's just one of the perks of social media.

There's nothing like wood heat when you're truly cold. I grew up with it, and I miss it (but not the mess) when winter hits.

It was so much fun! You'll see that we enjoyed so many gorgeous views during the remainder of the journey.

And I agree with you about wood heat. Nothing I've ever really had to depend on before, but it's always so toasty and comfortable when I've experienced it.

Thanks! Glad you're enjoying reading along I'll definitely make it to the end eventually—it just takes a while for me to get through each update! I'm thinking it'll definitely (hopefully) be done by the time next summer rolls around, at least!
