A Very Lurkyloo Christmas is FINISHED! New 3/16: Last Day of the Trip!

Carrie, Great update! I really enjoy your TR's, you two are just too cute. Love the photos. Wonder if I can make my kids get married at the World! :) We will have to see.

Too bad about the dessert! I hate it when I build a food up in my mind and then when I have it again, it is not all THAT! :)
I have been looking forward to the little oven baked square potatoes at Chefs De France. I wonder if I will be disappointed.

Thanks looking forward to more.

There are, actually I knew people at BW who could do these awesome little dolls and clowns and puppies and stuff and I'm all "...I suck at this."

Clowns? :scared:

What an awesome post!!

Talk about swanky!! That blue zoo place looks very posh (and it's even so posh, they don't have to capitalize blue or zoo - so there!)

I know - right? The copy editor in me will give them their pretentious lowercased proper noun in the interests of accuracy, but I don't have to like it!

Love the towel "donut!"

Me too! Although that's one towel animal I didn't take home...

Love your pics from Osborn Lights!

Thanks! DH had tons of fun shooting them... as you can tell by the copious amount of pix!

Oh this trippie is bringing back all the memories of my December trip Your Osbourne pictures are fantastic. I still can't believe they were shot on a point and shoot.

I love all the bluezoo pictures too. I hope it encourages people to venture to a non-official Disney place. DH and I got the Cantonese lobster when we went, so I recommend it

Ooh, I've been so curious about that lobster. Now it's on my list for next time - thanks!

Your pictures are amazing. The Osbourne lights are so clear. Mine always come out blurry.

It can be hard to shoot those at night, what with the dancing and all... :)

Your wedding album is amazing. I think I'm going to have to play around on that site.

I hope you like it - I think it's tons of fun.

Great update! Love the meal at bluezoo. It sounds so wonderful, just like the last time you went. And for you to skip dessert....has that ever happened before????

Never, in the history of dessert. Now let us never speak of it again. :cutie:

So would you recommend doing EMH at night at AK?

Definitely! :thumbsup2

The voice of the girl in the Playhouse show is recorded?

No, she's live - I was just cracking wise. It looks like it would be a fun job! Although heaven help you if you're having a rotten day...

And lastly? This post was riotous! Patrick @ the Swolphin with the camera - that would have endangered my laptop, had I been sipping a beverage when I read his quip. Your O-lights photos were gorgeous! Your "It tastes like soap" pic is now on my favorited list. And Patrick's gag photos kill me. I had to interrupt DH to show it to him. A very giggle-filled post.

Whohoo! Glad you liked it, and the book, and the podcast!

Why can't the class work I need to read be as much fun as this??? Carrie...I think your next writing venture should be in updating textbooks

Will they let me use swears? :teeth:

I hope there is more when I'm done...it would be a great reward! (you have 3 hours...):thumbsup2

Oh dear - sorry I missed the deadline! I have some boring work of my own ahead of me in the next few days, so I'm looking forward to the chance to go back to trip reporting when I'm done!

Carrie, Great update! I really enjoy your TR's, you two are just too cute. Love the photos. Wonder if I can make my kids get married at the World! :) We will have to see.

I think the trick is to tell them NOT to get married at WDW - reverse psychology, you see... ;) And I hope your potatoes are all that you remembered, and more! :goodvibes

Blue Zoo is so pretty inside! I think we might have to try it when we go back.

Patrick captured the Osborne lights perfectly. I just loved this report. You really do a fantastic job of Trip Reporting.

Where were you standing when you were watching the fireworks from Epcot? Was it crowded? I love watching wishes from the Poly beach, and one time we accidentally caught the Epcot fireworks from POP 50's bldg, but never thought to watch the Epcot fireworks from the BW.:confused3 Hmmmmm, not sure it will fit our schedule for our next trip, but may have to keep in on a to do list.

Your Bluezoo meal sounded/looked amazing! And the picture of yourselves at Osborne Lights--:lmao: You guys seem like a lot of fun!

The voice of the girl in the Playhouse show is recorded?

My friends always said I should do that for a living. You know, be that girl onstage lol

It is not recorded. the person at Playhouse Disney is live. The puppets are tracked. I know this for a fact cuz I worked there!!!

Hey Carrie, this is awesome. I wish I had seen you while you were here! Oh well. Glad you got to do the Nemo thing though.. even though I wasn't there. Glad you enjoyed the spectacle of lights. My DH is the production planner of the show - I'll let him know you enjoyed it!

We were at the railing between Atlantic Dance Hall and Jellyrolls. I was kinda surprised that there weren't more people there watching the show - I mean the Poly beach can get *crowded*, but here there were only 7 or 8 other people.

We try... we try... :teeth:

Sorry I impugned "Jamie's" rep for live performance - I was just cracking wise. She was most definitely live when we saw her! :)

I was sad we missed you during our trip too! It's my fault for overscheduling every single minute. :guilty: But I really appreciated your help with the Nemo thing, and I got to hear such nice things about you from the CM giving me the tour! :cutie:

Here let me show you. This was the previous version of playhouse disney but I personally know that the new one isn't recorded either. Check me out!!!

Fabulous clip! I'm so excited to discover I know a Jamie! Plus I'm jealous you got to work with Bear - I was bummed he wasn't in the show we went to. He looks so cuddly!

Great update Carrie! I like seeing WDW from someone else's perspective, especially someone as funny as you :thumbsup2 I'm not sure if you read on my TR or not but we aren't coming out to DL this June, we're going to WDW instead to save some money (DH is in serious need of a new car). We're still planning on coming out your way soon so I'll keep ya posted.

Can't wait for more!

Mini-hijack: DH and I are celebrating 5 years this year. Our original plans fell thru. Would WDW be a good 5 yr anny spot? We haven't been in 2 years. He's not against the idea but, is having trouble letting go of our original plan. I need stuff to convince him with!

Hey A-T-G,

My husband and I are celebrating our 5 year this October. And our plan is to go to WDW. Of course that is where our honeymoon was as well!

My DH and I are planning on spending all of our anniversaries at WDW, one because that's where we got married and honeymooned there, and two because our anniversary is in December and we'd rather spend it in Florida than Indiana :rotfl:

Thanks guys! I'll get crackin' on that WDW trip then...and as soon as I do, I can attempt my very first PTR! Woo-hoo!

Great photos. Love your towel thing!

Thanks! :thumbsup2

So taking a trip to WDW actually SAVES money, eh? I'll can't wait to tell DH! "Can we afford to go to WDW, you ask? Heck, we can't afford NOT to go!" :rotfl:

OK, it sounds like you're well on your way to planning this, but let me just say "HELLS yes! WDW is a fantabulous place to celebrate your anniversary!" (BTW - what was the original plan? I mean, to top a WDW trip it would have to have been, like, a trip to the MOON!)

First of all, you have to make anniversary shirts and hats and wear the buttons so you get free desserts. Also, you could surprise him with a private party like the one we did! They're really pretty reasonably priced considering the level of service you get. You would just call Disney Catering & Convention Services and they'll put you in touch with an event planner at your Disney resort: 407-828-3200

Alternatively, you could do a private dinner on the grounds at the Grand Floridan or the BoardWalk - you don't have to be staying at either hotel... any Disney hotel guest can do it.

Or you could do a Wishes cruise on the Grand 1 yacht!

Hey A-T-G,

My husband and I are celebrating our 5 year this October.

Congrats! :goodvibes

We will be celebrating our 10th at Disney this June.

Congrats to you too! :cutie:

Brilliant! Although, I hear that Disneyland, in an attempt to compete with the magic money-saving properties of WDW, is now handing out wads of cash at the turnstiles... Just so you know... in case you wanna celebrate out here... :rolleyes1

Thanks guys! I'll get crackin' on that WDW trip then...and as soon as I do, I can attempt my very first PTR! Woo-hoo!

Eeeeee! :hyper: Can't wait! Let all of us know if you need planning help! :thumbsup2

Yes! Come play with us in Florida in the middle of June!
