I just have to ask, were your teenagers horrified that you took pictures of the food? My 14 year old would die. I can hear "oh, mom" ringing in my ears as I type this.

Viki ......without a doubt this is the best time in Disney I have had since I got back.......thanks so much for such a great trip report and photos....WE went to Disney a few times at Christmas and you brought back so many great memories....

Yes! Yes, that is indeed John Edwards, Vice Presidential candidate on the Kerry ticket, just a few tables away and very nice to our son.

And, yes, right again, my son was particularly mortified by the food photo-taking, but, hey, he came around, putting up with his Dis-crazy Mom.

Loved your report! It was well worth waiting for. Your writing style is witty and entertaining and suffused with the spirit of the place. (Wish my Sunday sermons were crafted by such a wordsmith.) The before and after pic of Danny is priceless, truly laugh out loud funny!!! We are bringing my brother and his family with us in December, and hoping for a similar conversion.

John Edwards looked so handsome, as does your son. What a beautiful family you have, and all best wishes and congrats on your 20th anniversary!

Just wanted to tell you that I have really enjoyed reading your report! Luckily for me, I just found it tonight and have read it all in one sitting. I am following several reports which I love, but have waited several months to see "what happens". I am addicted, I admit it... but I just love to live vicariously through these reports and can't wait to get back.

Just love it when we can convince one of "those" who for years have questioned our sanity for our single minded ideas of vacation... to coerce them to "our side". I absolutely love the "before and after" pics of your friend, and the fact that he has, in fact, returned to "The World" without you. You have a beautiful family and thanks for sharing your trip with us!

Hello. I just started with this thread and I am still on day one just after the concierge lounge. Usually I try to wait until I have finished the whole thing before posting a comment . . . but I am scared I'll forget my questions by the end. (Ya know after 3 kids and turning the big 4 0 this year, the ol' brain ain't what it used to be!)

Loved, LOVED the description of the Eastern Airlines ride. That was one of my favorites too (along with CofP). It was so cool inside and it felt like it just whisked you away. Of course I had never even ridden on an airplane back then!

Which anniversary will y'all be celebrating in August? That lounge at the AKL looks amazing! We are staying at the Poly in Sept/Oct and I have spent so much time oggling the offerings in that lounge! What was the hot stuff they offered in the lounge anyway? I may have to hit AKL concierge on a future trip!

The look of those hot air balloons when you woke up! OMG! That must have been truly MAGICAL!

Great trip report! I'm kind of lucky that I just found it so I was able to enjoy it all in one seating. Loved the Christmas pictures. Brought back plenty of great memories.

Okay, I'm still on Day Four when you go to the pool . . . but I have to stop and say that I was extremely disappointed in the earlier family photo that everyone here oohed and aahed about.

I thought it was terribly too small.

However, after seeing larger pictures of your son, I am wondering . .. do y'all own a gun? What about a baseball bat? 'Cause you are gonna need something to beat the women off of him. No kidding.

I have a teenage daughter and I know how they can be. You must have your hands full!
