And I can't even paint mine a solid color!
There are some seriously creative people out there, that's for sure.

When I was younger my sister used to paint my nails for me and she would make squiggly lines on them and such. I really used to love that. We would use contrasting colors so they would stand out.

My best friend's mom used to sew her costumes all the time when she was little. She had this insane Belle dress. It was gorgeous.

I wish I was one of those ridiculously crafty/creative people. I'm horrible at making things by hand unfortunately and mediocre when it comes to digital things. Some people can make top notch costumes themselves, but I don't really want it to be 100% obvious it was home made. I'm too much of a perfectionist and I wonder if that's going to bite me in the rear?

When they were really little I would by the Princess nightgowns at the Disneystore and embellish them. Then they could use them afterwards too. This way they weren't wasted.

So I just showed my mom and she thinks she's seen a pattern for it, and she's game. We're gonna make me a costume!! Now I just gotta talk to my cousin about that wig.

We have a women's small Sally costume that was worn once. I bought it onli ne from the Disneystore. Kody looked so cute.

The thing that is nice about that is you can use a cotton blend on it so the fabric won't cost you an arm and a leg.

Digital things as in our signatures?? That is not mediocre at all!
Maybe since you are such a perfectionist, it will turn out super good. I can see how you might stress over it a little while working on it, and that would not be a good thing. But as long as you have a little guidance from you mom you should be ok.


Speaking of making dresses, the new season of Project Runway starts tonight! I love that show.

I think I am off too...I need to clean up my room, fold some laundry, and I am trying not to start packing until Saturday but I am too anxious and excited! I might pack a little tonight.

I really hope we're able to do it justice. And I'd like to get started on it soon'ish so I can take my time and not stress out over it. I'm kind of excited about this, lol. Maybe I can post updates in my TR, haha. Chronicle my first seweing attempt with photos, lol.

And thanks Jillian. It's pretty simple stuff to do though if I had to be honest. I'm trying to make some graphic stuff for the Divas Scavvy Hunt next year and I am having the darndest time. I'm not so great at making things entirely from scratch.
