New Disney Visa "Inspire" card

Denied.....I have a credit score of 851.....reason for denial....too few revolving debt. I have a Chase Disney card already, I pay it off in full every month....so I guess they didn't want to give me $600 in bonuses knowing they were never going to be charging me interest...no win for them, would have been a win for me though!

Chase doesn’t play games like “they won’t pay interest”. Call and find out if there is something besides your thin credit file at play here.

Sadly, the “score” is just something for us foolish mortals to feel good about.

A high score with a thin file is worse than an average score with good history sometimes.

Any insight? I opened the premier card right before the inspired card launched. I normally pay off in full every month and score trackers always list credit score above 800, but this month I'll have to carry a balance of about 3k between 3 different cards until next month then pay it off but some of that is 6-month no interest charges. Had a delay in some money coming in. I opened an amazon store card last year for a bonus, and other cards are multiple years old. Cars and mortgage are paid off, no other debt.

Would I likely be approved applying for Inspire? Should I wait until I've had premier a few months or longer? Should I wait to pay off my balances first?

However I don't need the premier /and/ the inspire /and/ the basic Disney card. Don't want to close the basic because I've had it 10 years. Should I close the premier if I get an inspired then downgrade the Inspire after the year? Keep both? Downgrade the premier to a second basic card -- is that allowed? Lol

Want to take advantage of the promotional offers and assume these initial offers will be the best.
