A Two Short, Too Different Spring Break Trip (Time to Say Goodbye)

She was a cutie -- I'll see if I can find a picture to share! :goodvibes

That's too bad about the workshop -- perhaps, now you can plan an October trip with that extra day? :scratchin

Have fun in 'Bama today!

I hope you can find a picture to show us. I know she was so sweet in her princess dress!

As for the workshop - how do they expect us to do any trip planning if they are making us play really stupid games and doing pointless activities?!?!?

I hope you have a good visit in Alabama.

It's been great! :)

My guess is lead. Lots of electrical cords have stickers on them warning that they contain lead and advise you to wash your hands after use. As long as your kids (or you  if you are concerned about birth defects) aren't sucking on them or anything, I suspect the risk is pretty low.

I've read that about cords before, so you are probably right. I can't imagine either of the girls doing much cord sucking, so we would probably be okay.

I googled and found that it is due to California Proposition 65, which states,
"California Proposition 65 requires product labeling for products containing certain chemicals known to the State of California to cause cancer, birth defects or other reproductive harm if the product will expose the consumer to such chemicals."

And also that "It has to be updated at least once a year and grown to include approximately 775 chemicals since 1987."

So pretty much what kschafer said is true. Don't eat the blow up screen and you will be ok.:rotfl:

Interesting to know. Maybe someday, we'll be the proud owners of a Mickey inflatable screen and you can all come and watch movies in our backyard!

You'll have to bring your own lawn chair. :)

Hey MeMom and Jill! I'm home! It was so good to meet you guys! I can't wait to tell you all about our trip. I'll be starting a TR hopefully tomorrow.

I just went over to your TR. I'm glad you made it back safely, and I hope you had a great time!

all this talk of mr. incredible in his beads makes me think of my boss, michelle's, husband, mike. this is them at our christmas dinner for work last year. he is a cop and he's a REALLY big guy (big as in muscle, not fat) and he reminds me of mr. incredible. i think he looks just like him! they're going to disney in december (i'm helping her plan her trip) and i told him where he could meet his long lost brother at DHS. :rotfl:
the pink one in the middle is one that i bought for margot when i was there in december.

hope you're having fun with your girls in alabama!

He would be a perfect Mr. Incredible!

I hope your wisdom teeth troubles will soon be over!

I bet lots of cute little princesses have that onesie in their wardrobe. It's what princesses in the know are wearing! :cutie:

I am having fun. They are all sleeping. They have to go have pictures made this morning, so I'll probably head home when they leave for that. I've got to run by the church building and start doing some stuff for camp, and I like to be home before afternoon traffic when it is possible.

Memom are you going to miss the 4th with the girls? I keep thinking a year ago from tomorrow we were at the Poly upgraded to conceirge. Like thats ever gonna happen again. :0) I will have to pull out the pictures. My son was only 4 months and it seems like a lifetime ago now with this running towhead I have now. :0)

Have a safe drive home.

They usually hang out with church friends on July 4th. Some of the cousins are getting together up here, but Jill and family have done so much traveling, they need a break from that, so they'll be staying at home. I thought about going on over by myself, but I doubt I will. I'll probably just watch the Nashville festivities from home. :)

I was thinking the same thing this week. Last year on this day, we were in Disney World. I've been okay with it, though, because I really like to go at the end of the summer more. We did the Fourth because it worked best and because we want to do all the holidays, but I prefer to look forward to a trip all summer and then have it fresh to ride on for a while when I am back in school.

Back to the trip.

When hinges creak in doorless chambers....
It was time for Erica's favorite - Haunted Mansion.

disney3-18-09MK227.jpg

The wait was not twenty minutes.

disney3-18-09MK228.jpg

Here are some dark pictures that probably show nothing. Look real hard and see what you can see.

Haunted Mansion is always nice for sitting in a cool place, and the wait, at least we've found, is never very long.

Erica, do you have this shirt?

disney3-18-09MK235.jpg

Eeyore reminded us that our Fastpass time for Peter Pan's Flight had arrived.

disney3-18-09MK236.jpg

After Peter Pan, a quick picture of Cindy.

disney3-18-09MK238.jpg

Drew is hounding me to get on the computer so he can do something with some pictures, so I'll sign off for now.

Glad you had fun with the girls in Alabama. Your trip is coming up so fast!

It's close enough to touch now. We are ready to go!

MeMom, I looked really hard and am pretty sure I saw me some "haints"!

I'm glad you were able to see something other than darkness. I would say that Drew could try to get some better pictures on this trip, but I think two other friends of his are going and they might be doing the $99 all week Universal ticket. That would be much more affordable for them. They're all supposed to be coming over here tomorrow to work out all the details.

First of all, Happy Fourth of July to everyone!

Now back to the day at Magic Kingdom.

There is an entire one hour lapse in time between the Cinderella picture and this one, so I guess we were just walking around and shopping during that time.

disney3-18-09MK240.jpg

disney3-18-09MK241.jpg

I tend to look at little girl things, in case you haven't noticed a theme yet. ;)

Kay has four children and three grandchildren to buy for, and even as much as her husband balks at the idea of a Disney trip, she bought him some things, too, to help convince him to at least like Disney.

Main Street Bakery treats.

I don't have a problem paying high prices for Disney food, but it would pain me to pay $2.50 for a PBJ like this. In our summer school program, the kids threw these away by the dozens. They said they were awful!

I don't have pictures of anything, but I'm guessing we must have gotten something for a snack? Or maybe this was when I bought Jill's much desired apple turnover, although it seems like it's too early in the day for that. I obviously didn't take good notes, so I can't really say for sure. Since I didn't take pictures of anything if we sat and ate, I'm thinking it was when I bought Jill's turnover.

We watched the glass blower for a few minutes.

An interesting twist on a well-known phrase.

I did not want to watch the new parade for the first time without the girls, but I snapped a few pictures as we walked along.

You may have noticed that we were walking toward the front of the park during this time. That's because we were on our way to the train station to go back to Big Thunder Mountain Railroad one more time.

Happy 4th of July. As I headed out to our local 4th of July parade, thanks to your pictures I am geared up for a parade. They were great.

The food pictures were mouth watering, I wish I was at the bakery now.

After a wild adventure in the wilderness,

we headed out for more adventure, but this time on the seas.

It was time for us to leave Magic Kingdom for a while, as we had planned to go over to the beautiful Wilderness Lodge to take pictured for Trent's surprise.

disney3-18-09MK288.jpg

We wanted to see the flag lowering ceremony, which is a very solemn and touching moment in time in the midst of all of the activity of Magic Kingdom.

If you have never stopped to see this, please do.
It is very moving, and the veterans always look so very proud.
You will give yourself a gift if you stop to observe this sometime.

I think it's a very good place to stop in the report for right now.

Happy Fourth of July!

I will not be showing Connor that picture of the uncrustables.

I think we should figure out a way for you all to be the Grand Marshalls in the parade -- Brooklyn has the necessary wave and what a cool thing that would be to do!

Happy 4th:cheer2::cheer2:

What a great way to start my day. Cinderella's fountain is one of my favorite spots and then I got to ride HM, BTMRR and POC form the comfort of my computer chair.

Chiming in re the uncrustables: Declan says they are gross (his word)
Thanks!

Yay!! I love a little MK magic on a Saturday morning! Those pictures from the bakery sure hit the spot for me!

I love the picture of the Pooh seersucker dresses. I love seersucker on little ones.:cutie:

The flag lowering ceremony looks like something to check out. Who performs it? Was the man holding the flag at the end a visitor? Does this happen every day?

Have a Happy Independence Day!:goodvibes

Wonderful pictures today, MeMom!

I do want to see the flag lowering ceremony but I always seem to miss it. :sad2:

kind of appropriate that you posted this on the 4th of July. i'm gonna try to get my WTC update done on my NYC TR today if i can.

Happy 4th of July MeMom and Jill!

Aw...that picture of the cinnamon rolls...:sad1: We got those more than once during our late MK nights to take back to the room.

MeMom, hope you have a happy 4th, you too Jill! Does Brooklynn enjoy the fireworks?
I have never seen the lowering of the flag, do you remember what time it occurs?

I work with a lady who eats those Uncrustables EVERY day! Apparently, she's been eating them for the last 5-6 years!!!! Yep, EVERY day! She pats it down, in the package, 5 times before she opens the package.

Erica, do you have this shirt?

disney3-18-09MK235.jpg

[/COLOR]

I do not....pretty cool though. I like the pink :thumbsup2, but I'm not so big on spiders :scared1:. I know all haunted mansions have them but the ones at disney aren't going to hurt me :rotfl:. I would love if I could find a shirt like that with the house on the front....would be VERY cool!!

I hope everyone had a wonderful 4th of July holiday!! I can't believe it's here again and that means it's going to be Christmas soon!! ;)
