A Two Short, Too Different Spring Break Trip (Time to Say Goodbye)

Thanks for the movie review! I'm glad you enjoyed it. We're a big Animal Planet viewing family so my boys have seen lots of difficult scenes. They do much better with them than I do! I hate to see an animal suffer. My husband told me that this movie is basically the same footage that was shot for Planet Earth and that Disney bought the rights and did some editing. Is that true? :confused3

Congrats on getting all of the ADRs you wanted! :cool1:

Loved the pictures from Goofy's. We still didn't make it in there on our last trip. :sad2:

MeMom you were up late last night like me. I couldn't sleep. Good time to DIS. ;)

 You reminded me of the Donnie & Marie dolls I had as a little girl.
I have no idea why I wanted them, maybe the matching purple and fushia outfits. :rotfl:
Now I have that song in my head. :rotfl:

I have the day off! :woohoo: Let's see what trouble I can get into....:rolleyes1

Just kidding! I think I will wash up my summer clothes and make a Disney trip binder.

Have a Marvelous Monday! :thumbsup2

After what I witnessed last week, I would definitely say to do the Fantasmic package. We had it and got there at 7:30 for the 8:30 showing...good thing we had reserved seating becasue it was already at standing room only. idk if its always like that but it was crazy. Then when it was over at around 9, the MASSIVE amount of people lined up to storm in for the 10pm show was ridiculous. I'm sure it has something to do with them cutting down the number of Fantasmic showings. I hope you enjoy the Hollywood and Vine!

I'm trying hard to be more like you MeMom. Less dollars spent on frivilous things equals more dollars to go into the Disney fund! I'm out of town for a work conference and I'm missing my kiddies like crazy. The only positive I can see is a little extra money to send to that Mr. Mickey Mouse. :) Great DD pictures. We're going to take a "break" day on our trip and bum around DD before going to eat at Chef Mickey's. I bet the kids will LOVE Goofy's.

Thought I would post some pictures of my sweet girls.

Brooklynn read a book to Bella before bed the other night.

This weekend in KY.

Yesterday morning before church.

Yesterday was the first time Drew met Bella. We forced him to hold her to take a picture. We took one and he tried to hand "it" off to MeMom. Yes, her uncle D called her it. His exact words were "Okay, take it now."

Bubby with his girls.

Have a marvelous Monday everyone!

Awww! Great pictures Jill. :) Both girls are adorable. Brooklynn sure has many stuffed friends, doesn't she?! Cute stuff.

Uncle D... that's not very nice! Glad to see Bubby made up for it!

Those girls get cuter every day!

I think I read somewhere that 40% of the footage was from Planet Earth. I never saw any of them so it was all new to me! I have had friends that went to see Earth and complained because they felt like it was just recycling what they'd already seen in Planet Earth.

Aw Brookie is such a good big sister. You HAVE to videotape her reading to Bella! We have tons of videotape of me reading to my sis when she was a baby. It's so cute to watch me and her interacting. She was so fascinated with me.

I love the picture of Brooklynn reading to Bella, so cute!

It... :rotfl2: I shouldn't laugh but that reminds me soooo much of my brother -- he's great but he's uncertain around little ones.

um....no to the $9 apple...if I am going to spend $9 on one treat then it better be some big piece of chocolate cake or brownie!!;)

I have never seem a stuffed mr potato head...thats pretty cool. Man I am going to need to bring either a) alot of money when we go bc there are going to be too many cute things to decide from for Caleb as a souviener or b) be like memom and take pictures of everything I like and show him later what he could have had:rotfl: I'm thinking B will be better on my wallet. But it will be tough. Good thing we are flying and won;t have much room to take back things!

Plan B will leave you money to live on when you return home. :goodvibes
Flying does help me curb my spending - knowing there is only so much space. I need to fly every time. :)

The way I've understood it is that they knew they were creating a dual release deal. If you've seen the Animal Planet series, you may not think it is as awesome as I did. I thought it was incredible on the big screen, though.

We're happy with our ADR's, and the rest will be a variety of counter service options. We like Sunshine Seasons for the rotisserie chicken and vegetables, and of course we'll go to Toy Story Pizza Planet at least once. We'll have Casey's one night while waiting for Spectro. We'll do Cosmic Ray's or Pinocchio's or both. We're thinking of trying the new Picnic in the Park at Animal Kingdom, too. Since Trent and Jarvis will have a vehicle, there's a slight chance that we'll go off property one evening. We didn't do that this past summer, but we did the one before - for shopping and just getting out into Orlando a little.

Trent called from work and said he had forgotten to wash the towels for the gym, so I got up and did two loads for him. I figured since I was up, I'd Dis!

I never had Donny and Marie dolls, but I did have a rockin' awesome poster of Donny when he was so cute. I was in love with that boy!

I hope you enjoyed your day off without trouble finding you.

That makes me feel so much better about booking. Jill and I debated that one, but finally we just said we'd book it and could always cancel if we change our minds. Better to have it and cancel than not have it and regret it. Your comments definitely make me feel like we did the right thing.

Plus, we've never done Hollywood and Vine for supper, so that'll be something new. That's our big Four Parks day for my birthday.

I am admittedly a bit frugal here at home, but I can spend without much thought in Disney World.

I hope you get back to your sweeties soon. I hated to be away from my kids when they were little, too.

A break day will be good. You can spend a lot of time in DTD - playing with Legos, romping around in the water jets, maybe hearing some music, and playing with a million toys in Once Upon a Toy and World of Disney. I think the kids will have fun at Goofy's. There are some fun drink cups they can put together in there, and they can create the pretzel rods or marshmallows however they want them.

Awww! Great pictures Jill. :) Both girls are adorable. Brooklynn sure has many stuffed friends, doesn't she?! Cute stuff.

She has a whole bunch of furry friends. She likes them to surround her up on that bed!

Uncle D... that's not very nice! Glad to see Bubby made up for it!

Drew is not a baby person. He's just now acknowledging Brooklynn as a real person. He did not volunteer for that picture, but he gave in when I asked him twice.

Did you happen to notice that big bone sticking out of his chest from his wreck? It looks so weird, especially from the side!:eek::eek:

I'm probably not a good judge, because I pretty much like all things Disney, and I liked it a lot, even if some of it has been seen before. I thought it was well worth seeing, and I would go see it again.

I tell Jill to video all the time. She will regret it if she doesn't, I think.
I plan to do some filming this summer. That is, if I remember to get the video camera down there! I was so aggravated at myself for packing it up and then forgetting it in March.

I love the picture of Brooklynn reading to Bella, so cute!

It... :rotfl2: I shouldn't laugh but that reminds me soooo much of my brother -- he's great but he's uncertain around little ones.

Drew would qualify as being a little more than uncertain. He's downright out of his element!

:lmao::rotfl::rotfl2: I am dying over Drew calling Bella "it!" So who fussed the most at him over that one? ;)

I truly wish we had video of Brooklyn reading to Bella -- I bet it was adorable! Did she make up her own version of the story?

It always makes me chuckle that the big siblings don't seem fazed when the baby is screaming as the hold them... great pictures of the girls, thanks so much for sharing!

"ok take it now"

Maybe he meant "ok, take the picture now"? :lmao:

I can't really say much though, cause when it comes to babies, Patrick is more comfortable with them than I am....they make me nervous and I feel out of my element....

:lmao: oh, bella is just NOT havin it!

he reminds me of a young ray. the first time ray EVER held a baby was when his nephew was born in 1996 and ray was about 25 years old. and the first babies that any of our friends had, he would like lean away from them because he said they were "contagious" and he made sure i didn't drink the water in their houses!!!! it took him awhile but he's definitely changed his tune. it's probably a good thing he was like that because i wasn't ready to have a baby until now anyway. i'm a late bloomer! i think bella looks like she likes her uncle drew anyway.

oh, and that picture with trent and the girls is adorable. :goodvibes

My brothers are not baby people either. I love watching them interact with the kids now that my boys talk, have developed true interests, and have some sense of humor. I am sure you are seeing much of that with Drew.

And that bone... OWWW!!!

I love the pictures. Lexi "reads" me that same book. You already know her love for animals and she has all of those "what to you see/hear" books. I am looking forward to hearing how you fare on your four parks in one day. I am sure that you will be able to do it.
