A Two Short, Too Different Spring Break Trip (Time to Say Goodbye)

Hope everyone gets a good night of rest tonight.

I had to laugh about Jill and her Cracker Barrel -- when one of my good friends had her first baby, my job was to go get her chicken and dumplings from Cracker Barrel afterwards. :goodvibes

Exactly what we had. :)
Jill was so happy!

Thank you for the updates! I love the pic, she is beautiful! What a great relief to hear nursing has gone well too-I know that can be a stressful battle with some babies (HENRY! ;)). I look forward to more pics, and more proud Gramma gushing. :goodvibes

Brooklynn had a lot of trouble eating at first because of severe acid reflux. She ended up back in the hospital. I hope Bella doesn't have any troubles like that.

Gramma gushing? What exactly is that? Surely you do not think I would bore you all with endless tales of this beautiful, perfect little baby girl!

You would think a person who has been up for eleven hundred hours straight could sleep until at least five a.m., wouldn't you? It is 1:59 and I just got in the shower real quick while Brooklynn is sleepimg. I am going to try to lay down. John is going to come and get her around 7:30 to go to school, so that she can take her gymnastics class and have a normal day. He's going to come home for a while and I'll sit with Jill. Tonight, I'll come back here with Brooklynn again and we'll try to have everything in order for Bella's homecoming.

You guys have been so supportive through your thoughts, prayers, and encouragement in the past months. We have this incredible addition to our family, and we hope you can all meet her someday when our Disney trips overlap or when you come through Nashville.

Have a Marvelous Monday!
I know mine will be a little extra marvelous since I'll be playing and not working!!! :cool1:

By the way, we just booked our after Christmas trip this weekend. We'll be at Pop Century again to ring in the New Year. We're planning on seeing awesome fireworks from the Poly beach on New Year's Eve! Let us know if any of you will be there, too, so we can meet.

How did I know that their would be an early AM update from you, despite the lack of sleep the night before? Enjoy today... take care of all your girls! It is indeed a happy Monday!

Awww, so glad Bella is settling in and Brooklynn is so protective of her. True sisterly love. :cutie:

I hope you got some rest last night.;)

Enjoy your extra day off, you deserve it. Have a Magical Monday!

Cracker Barrel sounds so good, Yummy!

I'm so glad all the family was there to give thier support.

I wish I could give BrooklynnMommy some flowers.

MeMom how many days do you get to spend in Alabama with your precious girls?

Have fun getting everything ready for Bella's home coming.

Do they still put big, fluffy, pink ribbons on the houses there to signify the baby's arrival?

Blessings to all!

Just think you will have a new little face at the Easter table this Sunday.

CONGRATS on the arrival of BELLA!! The pics of Brooklynn and Bella is beautiful.

Gotta love those chicken and dumplings. :goodvibes

Wow! You have a new beautiful, precious grandbaby and a Christmas trip to Disney -- you are one lucky family!

Enjoy your day with the girls, MeMom, and remember to share the new baby with Brooklyn from time to time.

How long do you get to stay in Alabama? How will you be able to tear yourself away???

I loved hearing Brooklynn's take on the whole day. Gives me an interesting perspective on what Liam might think when 3.0 arrives!

OMG...this is too funny that you are calling the baby 3.0! :rotfl:

Congratulations on the safe arrival of Isabella everyone! I had not been on the Dis all weekend so what a surprise. I am glad everyone is doing well. I can't wait to see more pictures of your two precious girls together. I hope everyone continues to do well and that everyone will be together at home soon. Thanks for sharing your special event.

Aww I'm so happy for you and your whole family MeMom. Brooklynn is so cute in that picture holding her and being protective of her  I hope you all were able to finally get some rest last night.

Congrats on booking your Christmas trip! Thats so cool you're going to be there to see the New Years fireworks on the Poly beach :cloud9:

Awww, you are such a good MeMom. Enjoy your babies. I think it's wonderful that you are helping Jill and John. I'm sure Brooklynn is also enjoying the time you two get to just hang out. I hope the homecoming goes well. Have a good Monday MeMom. :) I hope you can take a little nap sometime today.

Congratulations!!!!!

Wonderful news that Isabella arrived safely!

That's so cute and sweet that Brooklynn is enjoying being a big sister so much!

Wishing everyone lots of rest, and time to relax and enjoy the new baby!

Congratulations on the birth of Isabella!!!

I have been a lurker since your very first trip report, and I look forward to enjoy reading each one!

Congratulations MeMom and Jill! Welcome to the world little Bella! :goodvibes
So glad to hear that everything went smoothly. Love the picture of Brooklynn holding her baby sister!

Congratulations on your new little princess. I have just been reading over the last few pages with a tear in my eye... The dissers are such great people... so supportive.

I hope I get to meet Bella soon!!!

Jill will be thrilled to read all of your well wishes when she gets home tomorrow. John couldn't get his work computer to work at the hospital, so she hasn't gotten to Dis or Facebook.

I spent the day at the hospital with Jill while John came home to get a good shower, some rest, do some errands, etc. He picked Brooklynn up from school about 4 and brought her to the hospital. She wanted to hold Isabella right away. Bella started crying, and Brooklynn told me to calm her down and then she'd hold her.

Since I knew they would be having a lot of church company tonight and the room is small with not much sitting area, I decided to go ahead and get out of the way, stop at the store and get stuff to load up their refrigerator, freezer, and pantry, and then come home and get the house all in order for their arrival home tomorrow. John will bring Brooklynn back here later, and hopefully she will get another good night's sleep. They haven't decided on the plan for tomorrow - if Brooklynn will stay here at the house with me all day, John will come get her to go to the hospital to bring Bella home, or if she'll go to school as normal and they'll pick her up after they've left the hospital and are on their way back here. As far as we know, she'll be leaving around two tomorrow afternoon.

I don't mean to be a bragging MeMom, but she sure is a pretty little baby girl. She's a good eater, and then she just falls asleep all cuddled on whoever is holding her. I have enjoyed smelling that sweet little new baby smell. She had her picture made today and had her hearing test. All was well with that.

Jill is feeling as well as can be expected. She is moving very slowly. She was able to get a good hot shower today, and you know how good that always feels after being down for a while.

I know Jill will come here to tell you all thanks for your many thoughts and prayers when she gets settled back in tomorrow. I'm going to go make a chicken casserole and have it ready for them to eat for supper tomorrow night. The church will also be bringing food. Between what I have gotten them and the church meal, they should be all set and not have to worry about what to eat for the rest of the week. I'm going to go home either tomorrow night or early Thursday morning, and then I'll be back Friday to go to Brooklynn's school Easter Egg Hunt. Then I'll leave again and John's parents are coming on Saturday. I'm sure they'll bring food when they come, too. That seems like the best way to be of help - have the house cleaned and ready for company and have the food stocked up. That way they can just concentrate on Brooklynn's and Bella's needs...and a little bit on taking care of themselves.

I will have more pictures when I get back home. Jill has the best one so far on her camera. It's the only one so far that has really done her justice. Maybe Jill can get some up tomorrow evening when she gets home.

Have a good rest of the evening!
