Quick! I must minimize the screen before Connor catches a glimpse of all that Pokemon stuff -- I would be here all night while he browses in your pictures!
I don't know what they are/do, but there were a lot of kids milling around in that area who seemed to be pretty excited about all of it.
Ok confession time: I'm a huge Pokemon Fan and was very upset when the store in NYC didn't have a shirt in my size
Charleston Princess: Does Connor have the new game yet? I got it on Sunday and haven't even cracked the package yet....I'm still trying to beat Ranger, Ranger:Shadows of Almia, and Diamond and Pearl
You sound like my third-graders!
I love your Eeyore idea, so cute!
Is the book the Eeyore is "reading" by any chance "The Complete Guide to Walt Disney World"? (You'll have to forgive me if someone else already asked this question, I wasn't able to read all of the comments.) I have that book and LOVE it, it has such great photos.
The photo you took of the Walt Disney World entrance sign is fantastic. I can't believe you were able to get such a good shot from the Magical Express! Our photos always come out fuzzy!
Yes, that's the
Complete Guide 2008.
I was in the second seat on the right facing the sign, so I had a pretty good shot at it. I would have been in the first seat, is it hadn't been taken.
He has not gotten it yet -- I am thinking the Easter Bunny may be bringing it.
Our local library had a Pokemon Nintendo DS Diamond and Pearl tournament this weekend that Connor went to -- he was in heaven! He made it to the third round where as he said, "Mom, I got beat by a girl who had all level 80s!!!" That same girl ended up winning the tournament. Even after he was eliminated he stayed to watch and trade Pokemon with all his new friends. He had such a good time.
Books-a-Million here has some of those gatherings sometimes. It's nice that kids are learning to develop a hobby and practice their social skills through avenues like that.
You know me. It may be a while before I get to the Pirates/Happy Birthday part of the TR. Keep in mind that our MK day was Saturday, which means it could be a few months before I get to it!
I don't get Pokemon. Didn't get it the first time it was big, don't get it now.
I didn't and don't either, but I haven't really tried. I figure I've had some pretty valuable cards and toys in my drawer at school that I've taken up.
Maybe I should start selling them on Ebay.
I hope Jill and Brooklynn get a better night sleep tonight and Brooklynn's foot stops hurting!
She got to sleep in a little bit this morning, since she didn't go to work before her doctor's appointment. She may not have slept late, but at least she got to hang around the house and not have to get up and out the door to school right away.
maybe brooklynn is having sympathy pains. poor little thing! i hope her little foot feels better soon.
I do, too. I hate for her not to get the good rest she needs, because then she's so tired in the morning and getting ready for school is miserable for her and for Jill.
LOVE IT!!!!!
Glad you had a good time, with a good friend
Can't wait to see what all Eeyore does on the trip with you guys!
Jill - How are you doing?? Baby check!!
I did have a good time, and so did she. She downloaded all my pictures onto her laptop before she left here so that she could show her family.
The doctor said she's ready to go. Bellarie is in place, and it looks like she's going to be another pretty good sized baby. Brooklynn was a little over 8 pounds, and it looks like Bella will be, too. That's one of the reasons the doctor is so agreeable to inducing on the 7th.
I hope Brooklynn is feeling better too. I wonder if she might be having growing pains. DS6 gets them in his feet and lower part of his legs.
Trent had growing pains the worst of my three kids. His legs used to ache so badly. Jill and I both thought that it might just be growing pains for Brook, too.
I just showed the boys your Pokemon pictures and let's just say they got a teensy bit excited.

I had no idea there were Pokemon pins! Thanks for posting those.
You are welcome. They will be the one hovering around those counters in just a few days!
I'm glad you liked the pictures. Art is a fun thing. I wish we could do more art projects in the classroom.
Well, I cut back, but I didn't cut out.
Oh I forgot to add that there's a rumor here on the DIS that they are starting the Free Dining on August 15!!!!
I really hope it's true, I did a happy dance today.
I can't wait to find out if my dreams came true and they moved the dates up. So we can go for 10 days before school starts.
This waiting is so hard. I just want to book our trip to see

!!!
I hope that all works out for you. I really want you to be able to go for the long trip. Long trips are so nice, because you get to have plenty of rest time, which makes for happier men and kids, which makes for happier times.
I wondered the same thing. If she is growing I hope she reaches 40 inches so she can ride Soarin' in July.
I am headed to drop Brooklynn off at school and then to the doctor. I have to make sure she is okay with me traveling to Nashville on Saturday for a couple hours of Disney fun!
I'm glad we're good for Saturday, since the den is now filled with Dumbo, Pirates, Nemo, Toy Story, and Safari stuff! I ordered a Mickey cake on the way home today. It's cute.
Eyeore is sooo cute. Love the messages.
All of the pictures are great. My boys loved pokemon when they were little. We might still have some cards.
Jill- I hope you get some well deserved rest and Brooklynn's foot feels better. I also hope the doc says you can visit Memom.
Tammy
I'm glad you are enjoying the pictures. There will be many more to come. Most of them I will know what they're about.
The Pokemon ones - not so much.
Memom,
I am glad that you had a good trip. I am sorry that you had to be without Jill and Brooklynn, but next time you will have them plus one. I can't wait to hear more about all about your trip. I can't wait to see more Eeyore pictures.
Jill,
I hope all goes well with the doctor's appointment. I hope you get to go to the Disney party, and I hope you get some rest.
I missed my girls. It made me look forward even more to our summer trip.
You don't need to respond to me, because of all of you fans, I just wanted to say welcome back and that I TOTALLY get what you were saying about friends and family. I just had a friend ask me today about the DISboards and DisneyWorld obsession that I have and why I have it. I DON'T KNOW!!!! Well, yes I do know. No other place, that I've been, does a vacation like Disney. The attention to detail is AMAZING!!! There is SO much to do and see and I can please all of the people in my party. Now, my DH isn't quite as geeked about Disney as I am, but he likes it.
I just like that there are others out there that can relate to my love of that place!!!
I pointed out a lot of that detail to Kay while we were there, and she did agree that it was pretty amazing how check-out counters, lights, ceilings, signs, etc. were all so themed.
Memom....just met somebody in real life who is a DVC owner. He owns at BC, AK & SSR and wants to buy more. Has 5 trips planned this year. Must be nice! Theres my Disney dose in real life for today!
How nice! He must have megabucks! I would love to be a favorite relative of that guy!
