On your Ultra Sound if they tell you they didn't see anything push them for a CT Scan. It is a much clearer picture. You are still in my prayers. What happened with the burglar alarm?

Thanks for all your concerns, everyone! Sorry I made everyone worry.

So I had the US this morning, and by the way, it HURT! I had no idea they had to push THAT hard. I just had to keep thinking, this is for a good reason, this is for a good reason. I could see the screen at an angle if I craned my neck just the right way. The screen was on my right so when I had to turn on my left side so she could look at the gb from that angle, I was looking practically behind me. That part really hurt by the way.

After all that, I sure hope they saw SOMETHING that will give me answers once and for all!

I did ask the Ultrasound tech if she sees anything, and she kept telling me she was not allowed to say anything. After she was done, I said, "sure you can't tell me ANYTHING?" and she was VERY reluctant but said "well, the radiologist has to read it, but as far as I can tell, you're fine"
So more than likely there are no stones (at least I can be pretty certain I'm definitely not FULL of them)
Afterwards my mom was speaking to her friend who recently had her GB out (and she had all the same symptoms as me including the lettuce) and she said the Ultrasound tech told her the same thing but the Radiologist read it and said it was dysfunctional. So I guess I can't go by what the Tech said.

I will call the doctor Monday and make an appointment to get my results. When I saw him Wednesday, he had said "Have these done, and come back and see me in 2 weeks." So, I will see if they happen to be open on Memorial Day since I'm off. That would be perfect. And I will try to get it in the morning. If I get the first appt there is less chance I would have to wait like I did last time.
I'm assuming he will call me if he gets the results and decides he wants to see me sooner?

Well, I just hope the rest of this goes smoothly.

I am sorry it took me this long to update, but I had some sad news last night that my grandma got in a bad wreck and is in Intensive Care now. She broke her neck and may be paralyzed from the chest down for the rest of her life. I visited her today, and it was not easy seeing her like that and holding her hand when she couldn't even feel me touching it.

Can this month get any crazier? (maybe I shouldn't be asking that )

I got to hang out with my cousin today, so that was the better part of my day. We were on a mission to find some dressy sandals for the dress she is wearing to her son's Kindergarten graduation this week. We did find them. And I got some really nice LSU shirts for a great price. And new sunglasses since mine just broke yesterday. Shopping is therapy, I tell ya. Oh we also had IHOP this morning after my appointment. I was pretty hungry by then.

So that's been my day.

Carla, sorry I didn't text you! I thought about it, and then said to myself, "nah, I'm not gonna bother her on a Saturday. Since I really have no results, I'll update when I have a chance tonight" I should have texted you since it got so late. I won't let it happen again. (We also finally saw that movie 'What happens in Vegas' since we had bought the tix last night. It was pretty good. )

well I'm pretty beat so I think I'm closing up shop here in a minute...

I'm sorry your ultrasound hurt so bad I know they can be pretty uncomfortable but whenever I have them done it's never really hurt. It was probably more tender for you since there is something going on down there already. Hope the doctor finds something and that the tech was wrong. I'm still praying for you.

Actually if they didn't see any stones then I will have to test the functionality of my gallbladder, which is done by a HIDA scan. But thanks for the info!

No one has tried again, so hopefully they are too chicken to come back! I've been locking the door when I'm home alone even during the day.

I got a call from my Mom today. She went up to the hospital, and my grandma had a small breakthrough. She moved her toes on her left foot!!!!! That's HUGE considering she has not had any feeling below her chest. Her doctor was very surprised! Thank y'all for the prayers! Please pray she continues to improve!

That's huge! I remember the first time my hand moved. And the first time I spoke after my trachotomy. They tried to put in a speaking valve and it was my DH's birthday last year the DR told me to say something so I said something. And then I turned to my DH and said Happy Birthday and he cried. Not big tears but little tears. Learning to walk again is a hard road I went through it, your Grandma will need all of your love and encouragement. Movement in her toe is amazing. Prayers are an amazing thing. You and your family will stay in my prayers. And your news has made my night.

This week is starting out so rough already. The check-engine light came on in my car over the weekend. I was able to bring it to the dealership at lunchtime today. I didn’t even get to eat lunch because it took so long trying to get hold of my Extended-warranty information (the paperwork was at home. DOH! ) Anywho, my car is being fixed now…it was a minor issue. Some cap that needed to be replaced on a valve that releases gas fumes back into the gas tank. I think it’s called a purge valve. (okay car people, make fun of me all you want) Anyway, it’s NOT covered under my extended warranty…and if it were, I’d only be saving like $20 because my deductible is $109 and it was about a $130 job. So I waited there for the extended warranty bull for absolutely nothing! What a pain!

On top of that I called the doctor’s office and they said Dr. Booth(the one I saw last time) was out of town next week!!!!!!! She said the earliest I could get was the 4th. So I asked about Friday and she said they always say 2 weeks after doing a test. I said, well in 2 weeks he’ll be out of the office, so I want to come sooner. She kept saying that’s not 2 weeks! GRR!!! Well if he’s out during the 2 week mark, as a patient I should be able to choose whether I want to come sooner than 2 weeks, or after the 2 weeks. The 4th would make 3 weeks! So I made the appt, cursing under my breath. And my coworker had a great idea--she said why don’t you see a different doctor. So I called them back up and (after being on hold for 15 minutes) said I’d like to see a different doctor next week. She said “oh they don’t like to do that once you’ve seen one doctor here” and said I needed to talk to the nurse. So I had to leave the nurse a message to call me back and I was VERY STERN about how I was NOT FEELING WELL AT ALL!!!! I left her my cell #....
…and she just called me back! I was in shock. I actually missed the call and had to call her back but was able to get a hold of her. She let me make the appointment with another doctor. I like him better anyway! (I saw him last year when all these problems FIRST started and the first PCP I had sent me to him, but he gave me prilosec OTC and sent me on my way. Yeah, sounds crappy but ALL the doctors seem to do the same thing. I just need SOMEONE to give me my ultrasound results so I can know for sure if I need to get this thing removed, or do further testing, or what!)
So my follow-up is next Wednesday at 3:15 pm. Exactly 2 weeks from the original appointment. It is that darn blood test for Celiac that messed it all up for me---those results take around 2 weeks to come back, and the ultrasound is usually a lot quicker. I’d imagine they might have the results by THIS Wednesday, or even tomorrow. I’m just glad I don’t have to wait any longer than next week. It’s killing me already! I also don’t want to be sick (or in recovery) on my birthday, which will be 2 ½ weeks after my appointment.

No news on my grandma. She was supposed to have surgery today, but I don't think she is ready for that. (They have a head/neckpiece on her that is supposed to straighten out her neck so they can operate.)
I will keep y'all updated if I hear anything.
