A trip to WDW w/NO kids? Hubba Hubba! Wink Wink! UPDATE: EXTRA, EXTRA!!! Pg 158

Cherbear,
I just wanted to let you know you are in my thoughts and that I continue to keep you in my prayers.

Michele

get a hobby? May I ask what was wrong when you went? That is why I didn't go when I had the chest pain...although I should have. WebMD says if you have strong chest and stomach pain you should call your doctor right away and since mine was out of town I should have gone. I know they would not have tested me for gb anyway. And I wouldn't have thought to ask. NOW I know, so if I get that chest pain between now and Saturday I will go to the ER and tell them to test me right away. I don't want to risk it bursting! I am having mild pangs here and there, but nothing strong. And the back pain (under my ribs) is full fledge every now and again.

I forgot to add something so I am going to do it in another post

I had a anxiety attack which I thought was a heart attack at the time. I couldn't take a deep breath and my chest was HURTING bad. I know I have anxiety, but I've never had an attack like that. I didn't know what it was at the time.
So we get to the ER and the doctor was like, "You need to get a job or a hobby or something, don't just sit around the house."
Excuse me? I didn't come here for counseling. Doctors can be so dumb sometimes. Now that I know what it is, I can kind of control it. I do get panicky sometimes, and it sucks.

There was something I missed that I just thought of. Sorry--long night last night!

  • Referring to the chest pain, he prescribed me Aciphex because I might have acid reflux/heartburn. (C'mon doc, I know what heartburn feels like and that was NOT it. Felt more like a heart ATTACK. Seriously! I just took the little samples and smiled and nodded because I was getting what I wanted ultimately (the ultrasound). If he had written me a prescription for acid reflux pills I would have told him to go ___ himself! (fill in the blank!)

I may go add this into the original post now...

I went to the doctor a few years ago for stomach pain, and they gave me aciphex too. They must get that stuff in bulk

aww thank you!

wow....how weird! They are so retarded sometimes. Mike says I should go to St. Tammany to do the surgery if they decide to remove my gb. I am thinking that might be best. It may be more expensive though. :confused3

 yeah, I was thinkin' of selling it on ebay...:rotfl: (people have sold crazier stuff)

BTW, have you been to the Palace Theater lately? We tried to go see What Happens In Vegas tonight, but didn't realize we'd have to leave 20 minutes EARLIER THAN NORMAL to have time for circling around the parking lot (and almost getting hit 3 times) :headache: An employee told us they had expected to have the rest of the parking lot open that night--but apparently that did NOT happen. We did see someone getting a sobriety test in the lot though, so we got SOME form of entertainment at least! We bought tickets for the movie for tomorrow night. If we wanted to watch tonight we'd have been in the very front and I CANNOT sit in the front. Oh well.

If you can afford it, St. Tammany would be a whole lot better for you. I hope you can go there. You're going to feel like a new woman once it's removed!

We haven't been to the Palace in a LONG time. I always have bad experiences there. If we're not sitting in the very back, SOMEONE will be kicking my seat the whole time. If we sit in the back, the person next to me won't SHUT UP. It only always happens to me too. Darren thinks it's funny, but I said I won't go to another movie on the weekend, because it's rediculous with all of these kids that think they're cool.

I can't sit in front either. Gives me such a headache. Darren wants to go see the Batman movie, so we may have to go during the week. I know that movie is going to be crazy busy though.

When I asked the woman at the front desk in the GI doc's office, she said you can go anywhere you want. So I probably will pick St. Tammany.

aww, that sucks. Darren thinks its funny? Men! :sad2: Sounds exactly like something Mike would laugh at too.

I hope you get to see Batman when it comes out! I love going to the movies on Thursday night (when I am off on Friday) The bonus is it's cheaper too! :rotfl:

Well I am gonna go shower and get ready for my Ultrasound. I will try to check in before I leave. I should have time so...see y'all in a bit!

Are you still here? When are you leaving? I'm thinking about ya! I hope it goes well.

Yoo Hoo! What happened??? I'm worried that we haven't heard from ya! Please come back!

Hey, I'm hoping all is alright with you. I hope you are just resting/sleeping and will feel better!

I'm really getting worried! Normally you would have checked in by now. I was debating on whether I should text you, but considering its after midnight, I thought better of it. I just hope you're okay.

Thanks for all your concerns, everyone! :grouphug: Sorry I made everyone worry.

So I had the US this morning, and by the way, it HURT! I had no idea they had to push THAT hard. I just had to keep thinking, this is for a good reason, this is for a good reason. I could see the screen at an angle if I craned my neck just the right way. The screen was on my right so when I had to turn on my left side so she could look at the gb from that angle, I was looking practically behind me. That part really hurt by the way.

After all that, I sure hope they saw SOMETHING that will give me answers once and for all!

I did ask the Ultrasound tech if she sees anything, and she kept telling me she was not allowed to say anything. After she was done, I said, "sure you can't tell me ANYTHING?" and she was VERY reluctant but said "well, the radiologist has to read it, but as far as I can tell, you're fine"
So more than likely there are no stones (at least I can be pretty certain I'm definitely not FULL of them)
Afterwards my mom was speaking to her friend who recently had her GB out (and she had all the same symptoms as me including the lettuce) and she said the Ultrasound tech told her the same thing but the Radiologist read it and said it was dysfunctional. So I guess I can't go by what the Tech said.

I will call the doctor Monday and make an appointment to get my results. When I saw him Wednesday, he had said "Have these done, and come back and see me in 2 weeks." So, I will see if they happen to be open on Memorial Day since I'm off. That would be perfect. And I will try to get it in the morning. If I get the first appt there is less chance I would have to wait like I did last time.
I'm assuming he will call me if he gets the results and decides he wants to see me sooner?

Well, I just hope the rest of this goes smoothly.

I am sorry it took me this long to update, but I had some sad news last night that my grandma got in a bad wreck and is in Intensive Care now. She broke her neck and may be paralyzed from the chest down for the rest of her life. I visited her today, and it was not easy seeing her like that and holding her hand when she couldn't even feel me touching it.

Can this month get any crazier? (maybe I shouldn't be asking that:confused3 )

I got to hang out with my cousin today, so that was the better part of my day. We were on a mission to find some dressy sandals for the dress she is wearing to her son's Kindergarten graduation this week. We did find them. And I got some really nice LSU shirts for a great price. And new sunglasses since mine just broke yesterday. Shopping is therapy, I tell ya. Oh we also had IHOP this morning after my appointment. I was pretty hungry by then.

So that's been my day.

Carla, sorry I didn't text you! I thought about it, and then said to myself, "nah, I'm not gonna bother her on a Saturday. Since I really have no results, I'll update when I have a chance tonight" I should have texted you since it got so late. I won't let it happen again. (We also finally saw that movie 'What happens in Vegas' since we had bought the tix last night. It was pretty good. )

well I'm pretty beat so I think I'm closing up shop here in a minute...

nite!

I hope your results have you getting your gall bladder removed. I think you need it by this point, even if they didn't see anything major on the ultrasound.

Oh man, I am so sorry to hear about your grandma!! That is so horrible. You are really having a bad month aren't you? :sad1: Wow. I sincerely hope everything gets better and I hope your grandma has a miracle and recovers.

Cheri,

So sorry to hear about your Grandma!!! I hope this is just a temporary paralysis, and goes away soon--that does happen occasionally--so let's all say some prayers and so some positive thinking that she recovers well!!! So sorry for you!!! Was the accident yesterday? What a crazy time it has been for you! Thinking of you---Jen

Cheri -- my prayers are with you and your grandma. I'm so sorry to hear about her paralysis. How good and strong of you to go see her. She will need that more and more.

I haven't been reading every post so can you explain (or tell me where you said) the LETTUCE thing? I don't know what you mean.

Awww Cheri I just caught up. I'm so sorry to hear all of the stuff that's happening to you.

I am a firm believer that bad things come in threes. What happened to your grandma sounds like your third event, so maybe it will calm down now.

Cheri,

I hope you can get the results ASAP. I know how hard it is to wait for things, especially when you're in such pain.

I am so sorry to hear about your Grandma  I will be keeping her in my prayers.

You are also in my prayers

Cheri...here's hoping that you will be getting some news on you soon.

And...I'm so sorry about your grandma. You family will be in my prayers.

I hope so too! I can't imagine them not seeing something. It really hurt when she pushed on it!

Yes, you could say that. We're all (my family) praying for a miracle, too. I believe in them!! thank you!

I hope so too! I keep having doubts though, since she not only broke her neck but it twisted as well. BUT miracles do happen!!! The accident was Friday evening.
thanks so much for the thoughts and prayers!

thank you for the prayers! I would love to go see her more. I just hope she can be moved to a regular room soon, because not only would that mean she was doing better, it would also mean we could go see her at any time, and wouldn't be limited to total of 30 minutes visiting time with only 2 at a time going in. That was terrible--Mom and I went first, and we had less than 15 minutes because we had 3 other people that needed to go see her. But we took about 15 because as we were trying to walk out she kept talking to us and we kept telling her that my cousin and sister wanted to come now. (and my dad was calling my phone to make sure we realized the time) Also when we had walked in she was sleeping. So we really didn't get much time at all. :sad2: And since the hospital is about an hour away from me, and the visiting times all about 4 hours apart, it doesn't make it any easier to be able to see her.

I haven't been reading every post so can you explain (or tell me where you said) the LETTUCE thing? I don't know what you mean.

I cannot digest lettuce. It is basically what has spawned this whole thing with the gallbladder. I'd never have known that is what it is (probably) until I googled the phrase "cannot digest lettuce". I have had that problem for a little while now, and never attributed it to the bad stomach cramps. I've had these stomach problems for over a year, but haven't been eating a lot of salads like I used to in the past. So when I ate a big salad last weekend and got sick to my stomach, and realized I wasn't digesting ANY of it, that's when I decided to look into it. Then I realized that I had alot of the other symptoms for a dysfunctional gallbladder. Thank God for google!

If you (or anyone else) are interested, my "gallbladder thread" is located here.

  thanks for all the hugs!

I hope you are right because I don't need anymore bad stuff to happen! I do, however, want my gallbladder out. So I wouldn't consider that "bad stuff" if I find out I need it out.

Cheri,

I hope you can get the results ASAP. I know how hard it is to wait for things, especially when you're in such pain.

I am so sorry to hear about your Grandma  I will be keeping her in my prayers.

You are also in my prayers

thanks  It is hard! Let's just hope I can make it through this Friday, since my boss will be on vacation. I'm just glad I'm getting closer to an answer!

thank you again  She will love to hear that so many people are praying for her recovery!
