I just had to jump in here for a sec...

My wife and daughter and I are heading to WDW in a few weeks, and I was passing the time perusing your trip report (good job, btw). When I noticed your comments about Rock of Love, I had to chime in...

My wife and I went to Groveport HS in Ohio, the same place Heather greaduated from. We got an email from an old classmate letting us know Heather was going to be on this show. My wife pulled out the year book, and sure enough, it was the same Heather. So, from hat point on, we had to watch. The show was like a train wreck, but for some reason we couldn't stop watching. And boy, are we proud of the way Heather represented Groveport High...(please detect the sarcasm).

Anyway, just thought it was funny you were talking about that show...

Did I mention he applied for something with the same company I work for? (Entergy) I think he can get it...he'll be working in a different facility, but my only hope is that he wouldn't work every weekend (I'm almost positive that wouldn't be the case) Anything has to be better than the schedule he has now.

I want to do my update now...Unfortunately, I don’t have my notes with me at work. And I really need my notes (the time table) to write this next part of the report. AND my receipt from dinner....
I guess it will have to wait. I should have it for y'all tonight.

no you didn't mention that. I will cross everything in hopes that he gets it. I'm guessing his schedule would be better plus you'd be at the same company and able to see eachother maybe for lunch more often and stuff.

Okay.... I only watched it once and not even the whole episode... but because Cheri mentioned it on here I tuned in this morning when the radio DJ was talking about it and said that this Heather is very upset that the producers "edited" her to make it seem like she was this awful, insensitive person. Heard that one before!

everyone enjoys watching a good train wreck....that's why I Love New York gets so many viewers, and that's why Lacey is probably going to have her own reality TV love search as well. Now, SHE was a nut!

But anywho, what day do you leave? I'm so jealous!

well we wouldn't be able to have lunch because we'd be in different cities...even if I do get a transfer in the near future it would be in the other direction. He applied to a location near Baton Rouge. I'd just love to be able to do fun stuff on the weekends again.

I am trying to get an update together, but in the meantime...

As I looked back at my notes, I forgot to mention that we were going to see HISTA (Mike didn’t get to see it last year) before going to the Seas with Nemo, BUT it was down for refurbishment. When we asked the CM standing in the front how long it would be down (thinking they were just having technical difficulties) he said until October something---I didn’t pay attention to the exact date, I just knew we couldn’t see it on our trip and I was a bit peeved because I never saw that one listed on the Disney website. There was a couple behind us who was muttering the same thing “This wasn’t listed on the website…etc”

Just wanted to put that out there. Did anyone else have this issue (not realizing it would be down?)

6.15.... There's also a special Disney gift card cashout coming on the 15th! I'm gearing up! They say it will be the last one for this year. That means instead of cashing out 25 points for $25.00 disney gift card, you can cash in 24 points for a $25 disney gift card, 46 points for $50, and so on... (at least, that's what it was last time) You should be able to at least get to $25.00 Good luck!

Nope, I wasn't aware of it either until my parents said it was closed...but when we went back to epcot on 9/23, I could have sworn I saw people going into it b/c I said, oh, it's opened...however, I didn't check for real...

Gotta get that beauty sleep plus im a little peeved at disney's web site and how confusing the dining plan is and all...im trying to see if getting an annual pass would save$$ but im getting more frustrated than anything. but ive got plenty of time to figure it out.

So, where I left I off last time, we had just finished trying out the Segways at the Segway Experience in Innoventions. We figured we had enough time in the park for our first evening, and our bags would be at our room by now, so let’s head back to the room and freshen up so we can head downtown. BUT, one more stop before we go…

We had never gone into Club Cool (formerly known as Ice Station Cool), so we decided we would take a few minutes to stop by. (I forgot to take pictures so I had to steal the 2 that are coming up)

So we sampled a few of these. I had told Mike about Beverly before, but apparently he forgot what I said. I told him he should try it, and even pointed out the sign above (see, I’m not THAT mean)

I read it aloud…“Beverly, with its BITTER flavor….”

He decided to try anyway, and said it was the most disgusting thing he’s ever tasted. (He said it almost came back up ) I wish I had a picture of his face, but sorry I don’t.

It was almost 5:00 and we decided to finally head back to the resort (but not before Mike drank some Fanta in a vain attempt to rid his mouth of the Beverly taste)

Before going back up to the room, we bought 2 YOMD cups (ugh, no picture…well, they look just like Carla’s (Leger13) so if you haven’t read her report, please do so. Like the plug, Carla? ) Mike was happy to fill his cup to the brim with some all American Coca Cola…although we both wish Disney World had Dr. Pepper (or at least Mr. Pibb).

We go up to the room….and see….








NOTHING. No luggage. Our plane landed at 12:45, we checked into our room at 2:30, and still no luggage. I made a phone call to the front desk. I’ll spare you the dialogue. They said it was “at the resort” but just had not made it to our room yet…and that it shouldn’t be too much longer. I asked if I could just get it myself, and he said that wasn’t possible. I think, okay, I need a little downtime anyway. Mike falls fast asleep. I watch some TV…not sure if the OJ thing started then or if that was the next night. At about 6:45, still NO luggage, I call again. (I know, I should’ve bugged them MUCH sooner) I tell them what the other guy told me, etc, and he says that he would check to see why it hadn’t been delivered yet. He puts me on hold, and then tells me that it’s “on the cart” and should be at my room in about 10 minutes. 10 minutes goes by…and you guessed it, NO luggage. I am going NUTS at this point, looking outside the door to see if I could spot whomever would be bringing it. Mike woke up, and I told him what the man said. Now we were BOTH outside looking. 20 minutes...no luggage. I suggested going to the gift shop to get a box of those Entenmann’s donuts with a snack credit. So, we did…looked around for a few, ended up buying a box of donut holes. I bet Mike that our luggage would be in the room when we got back. (He didn’t believe me…I shoulda put money on it!)
We returned to the room, and I was right!
I unpacked my clothes into the drawers, and laid out my shoes by the window. Then we freshened up/changed, and were ready for Downtown Disney!

I’m sorry, but I have to end this update here. I am tired, and I feel like I have writers block. I hope this update isn’t as terrible as I think it is.

And now for the ritual cliffhangers….What in the world did we eat? (after working up an appetite waiting for luggage, ugh!) Did I have my first DISer sighting? More importantly, did I run into Leger13? Did we hit Pleasure Island, or were we just TOO tired? All this…in the next update...hopefully!

Club Cool - another thing I've never done. Doesn't look like I'm missing much with the Beverly. And I'm not a soda person anyway. I can just imagine the face Mike might have been making, though.

That stinks about your luggage. You know they kept it cause they didn't want you out drinking too long cause they know how you get from those martinis.

Yikes, that is an awfully long time to wait for your luggage. If I ever use ME I will make sure to pick up my bags at luggage claim and bring them to the bus with me so that I don't have to worry about when they will arrive.

We roll out on 10/26. We are driving this time, and we'll leave at 3am on 10/26 and drive straight through. We should get to Orlando around 6pm I'd guess, and we'll stay offsite that night. We can check into BCV on 10/27, and we are staying 7 nights. I am looking forward to the drive down, it'll be fun, but the drive back will suck...
