thanks!

Ok so I finally got around to reading your thread Cherbear. I kept on seeing you post on DM's TR and your title caught my eye.

Great PreTR, I've laughed with all your guys' antics. Plus I'm so glad you finally booked your flight. I was having a panic attack as I was reading thinking you were gonna be paying a lot if you waited too long, so very glad you got a great deal. :thumbsup2

Anyway I'm glad I got here before you started your Trip! Yay! You're going to The World!! :cool1:

I'm glad you are here!!!! WELCOME!!!!!!!!!!

I'm also glad you made it in time! :thumbsup2

And yes...I got a good deal on the flight. In fact, I checked it today just for the heck of it, and it went BACK up...that same flight would cost us nearly $200.00! What great timing we had!

Well an update should come tonight. I have the itinerary just about ready, and I need to type up the clown story and see if I can think of any others to tell.

Cy'all lata!

thanks!

I am glad you got your tickets before the price went up but you were still freaking me out by waiting so long!

Yay, I did it! I can see how you've made it over the 900 post mark ;)

Okeydoke - recap from 46 pages of fun :D

You spoke about getting new, shiny pennies for the penny presses. I have it on good authority that the newer ones (anything minted after 1982) is basically all zinc and will create a smudged look on the imprint. If you can wrangle pre-1982 pennies they turn out a lot cleaner. Oh, and it has been said that if you hit every machine and get all of the designs from each, it will cost you around $2,000. That's a LOT of change!

Love the pics you posted, y'all look like a great couple, the pics of your cousin's son with the characters were cool too. And very cute doggies. Great family pic on the 'embarrasments' post and I've sooo been in the "thermostat wars" with family members before - lol. Gotta love "adventures with grandma" - BACON!!! We're going with both my mom and my mother-in-law, both of whom are 65+ and will will be in scooters

Your itinerary looks great, very well planned out …and yes, there's never enough time :P 2 questions, is the Flame Tree BBQ traditional bbq or does it have a cultural theme? And have you watched Wishes from the California Grill before/is it a good spot to do so?

Very cool new about the IRS refund check btw - I love it when the government screws-up in reverse.

And now the rest will be presented in snippets to follow the overriding theme of all threads. That's right, it's time to inflate my post count!!!!

Destin!!! My great aunt owns an apartment in one of the beachfront complexes there …we spent several days there in 2002! Pretty cool place with calm, clear water and lots of good restaraunts. Our last day there a hurricane rolled in and made for quite a light show!

I really have to get on the ball with the food reservations, it seems like you wrestled with yours quite a bit. We're planning on doing counter service for lunches and breakfasts are provided by the resort we're staying at ;) But there is still those dinners...

What's this in my pocket? I think I just found another piece of ………
