A Ton! Of reservations just opened up Nov-Dec!

This is what is so disturbing to me.... people have to rely on "sources" for information, some more reliable than others, for sure. But I don't want to play that game! I would like an official announcement and plan directly form Disney!

I agree! This is like a bad game of telephone with everyone having a different version they were told by a CM. The one I talked to right when this news first hit told me I had nothing to worry about and nothing was being cancelled.

And people who aren’t in the groups/boards have no idea they might lose their reservations. They really need to communicate something, even if it is “we are assessing the situation and will let you know something ‘soon’”

SAME!! I called three CMs in two days, and they all said I was fine. One even said they were secretly increasing capacity in the restaurants?? Then when the news breaks about the cancellations, I waited two hours for a CM to say that today was the first they heard about the glitch and are now starting to make those phone calls. ????

I did tell her that it wasn't their fault since they seem to be as in the dark about it as the guests are, but I can't tell you how bummed I am by the soon-to-be cancelled reservations and the lack of communication with their guests and CMs.

Agreed, I don't think this is too much to ask of them by now. I can understand them not putting out a statement right away because they were scrambling to fix the glitch and come up with a plan. But if they're already carrying out said plan, it's time to make an announcement.

Well, we know that isn’t true because many people got calls yesterday. Also, many talked to CMs yesterday who were well aware that cancellations are happening. Maybe that person had been on vacation or something??? 🤣

Unfortunately the call centers (in both Celebration and Tampa) are rather large, a good portion of CMs are still working remotely, and when one department gets a lot of calls in the queue, other departments pick up those calls to help. So it is quite common to get someone who works in the IT support section or the hotel front desk section answering calls for dining or AP and those people may not know of the glitch.

Also, keep in mind that a little over a year ago, the call centers reassigned a large portion of dining CMs as they moved to MDE solely for dining. So it’s a skeleton crew in dining at the call centers.

At MK now and just got TP alert. Apparently my modified oga on Tuesday was canceled ( with no notification unless its en route.) Grabbed it when I saw mine gone. Was able to get it back.

Our Thanksgiving Day Liberty Tree Tavern reservation just vanished! No email, nothing! It just went poof!
Just noticed that my Topolino's and B&C reservations for 12/4 also just went POOF. I have not received any email or call.

What's weird is that my MouseWatchers went off for a Topolino's Terrace BK opening for 8:40 am. Couldn't snag it but the one that disappeared was for 8:00.

I'm sure they could've accommodated since we're a party of two, but it's 2020. Whatever!

I just checked MDE, and a reservation for Dec. 21 made during the glitch disappeared. No call, email, or gift card here. I get that it was a mistake, but at least some notification and an apology would be nice.

Gone...the new one I made on Tuesday for Beaches and Cream. Just one of them so far, Yak and Yeti remains.

Mine for Toppolino's disappeared sometime in the last hour from when I last checked. A T-Rex one is still there as now.

So I just got a TP alert for a reservation that I'd been waiting for. I did the reservation. When I went to check my plans, the ones I had made the day of the glitch are now gone. No one contacted me. No gift card offered. :( Thankfully I still have the ones I had previously made and the new on I snagged today. I'm November 21-27.

I lost an Oga's and a Mama Melrose 12/9. Guess I start stalking again :( Both I'd previously had and canceled/booked different times on glitch day. I was trying not to be a hoarder but I guess Ive learned my lesson :(

I spoke with a very helpful CM this morning and thought I'd summarize what she told me in the case that it helps others. She said that all the reservations made during the "glitch" will be cancelled. She said that both new and "modified" reservations will be cancelled. She said she didn't know when this would happen, and that guest will be notified but didn't have clarification on how they would be notified. She thought the bulk of them would receive emails. She also said that she thought that impacted guest would receive $25 per reservation. She had a bulletin given to the CMs about this issue and she actually read part of it aloud to me, so I think the information is accurate. She also said she would NOT touch any of the reservations made during the glitch but wait on Disney. She also recommended creating a second MDE account if you wanted to make a reservation during a date/time you had an existing reservation.

Hope this helps.

ETA - Well, while I was writing this post it seems some guests reservations started to disappear without notification. Maybe the emails will go out later?

Also, the new reservation I made that day has disappeared, but the ones I modified are still there (for now).
