A Ton! Of reservations just opened up Nov-Dec!

I am still having an issue with making reservations...the only reservation for 1:00 this Thursday was Homecoming...that doesn’t sound right

Why do you feel the need to attack anyone that doesn’t have the same viewpoint as you on this issue? @andyman8 is a respected insider on this board and has been for a long time. They don’t reveal their sources, but they are generally correct and very well informed about the goings on behind the scenes. If they’re saying it was a glitch, it was a glitch. That’s what I’ve been hearing from friends in the call center as well. It was an update overnight that somehow released dining availability to 100% for the rest of the year. It was caught quickly, but because of social media, it was pounced on and some days (like 12/24 and 12/25) had entire restaurants fill to 100% for the whole day. Those WILL be cancelled. But some will be able to be honored for other days if it raised the capacity from 40% to maybe 55%. But expect a lot of cancellations and unhappy people.
How is asking a source attacking?

I see both sides to this.

I’d definitely be disappointed if I got a coveted reservation today and was told it was a glitch, and I’d be really upset if I switched out a reservation today, and end up with neither, but I’d also be disappointed if I already had the coveted reservation and was now realizing if they honoured those glitches, I’d be in a packed house.

Anyone have any idea the approx percentage of tables they use for walk-ups at these restaurants? Wouldn’t they just scale that back or potentially not allow any walk-ups so they can accomidate these extra reservations?

Seems like non-Disney owned, like Homecomin' and Via Napoli, seem to take a good number of walk ups. The popular places that are true Disney restaurants seemed to be fully committed with reservations when we were there in Sept/Oct. I stalked the Topolino's walk up list for dinner all week, and it never opened for walk ins.

Honestly I thought the walk-up list addition was simply because they were not filling the available tables. Not that there were tables being held. (For Disney-owned restaurants.)

I don’t know what Disney is going to do, but they need to make an announcement.
They need to do it quick and make a decision on their solution or if reservations are staying as is.

It’s not staying as is by the Rumor Board. Maybe for next couple days as they continue to see what can be accommodated but rumor is some restaurants hit 100% capacity in bookings on thanksgiving/Xmas- they simply can’t run that.

I don’t think IT has a reset button here to wipe the last couple days & start over. It sounds like they have a lot of manual review to do so it will take time. I feel bad for us with close in trips (including myself lol, I’m next week) but it is what it is for now. We sit and wait. Feels like I’m doing a lot of that right now 😂

@Cliffside haven’t seen any cancellation reports yet so fingers crossed for your DD!

No cancellations yet...DD just got to Hollywood Studios hoping she gets to keep the reservations..

A bunch were open for they day I wanted yesterday but couldn't lock any in, and now all gone #sadface

I thought Disney announced they would honor those ?
I notice the reservations are in numerical order, otherwise it would be a nightmare. I guess they will move guests to nearby closed areas as temporary dining locations???
Got any other ideas as to the Disney fix ?

So if we already had reservations before yesterday but changed the time... do u think they would more than likely strip us of our reservations entirely? Reset to what dining was before the glitch? Or last, priories those do us who had existing ones to keep these new ones?
Looking for hopefully guesses

When I got all the alerts I got on and I made a reservation for our trip in 3 weeks... but when I got the confirmation it was for YESTERDAY. I don't know if I clicked the wrong date or if it glitched but I immediately called to cancel. However, because it wasn't 24 hours notice I got charged the $10 per person fee. On hold now to see if I do in fact have to pay this, I hope not! Stupid me did not write down the cancellation number (It was early and I didn't have a pen handy!) so I am thinking I will probably have to pay!

Crossing fingers - if you explain with all of the insanity, they may cancel the fees. I know when my son got sick the day of CRT one year, they refunded our whole prepaid amount.

She just got seated at Prime Time Cafe with the reservation I made yesterday morning.
FABULOUS NEWS! sounds like maybe they are for real accommodating... would anyone be shocked if maybe they were just increasing Capacity a bit.... but don’t want to admit it?
