By tying my shoes a different way, they give me more support, which results in feet that can go further before exaustion. I lace my sneakers up as usual. Then I take the lace and pass it backwards through the hole again, not enough to unlace the shoe, but it makes a small loop. I do that to the top 2 holes, one on the left, and one one the right. I take the end of the laces and pass it through the new opposite loops, tighten and tie. In other words, you pass the right end lace through the left loop, and the end of the left loop lace through the right loop. I sounds complicated, but is easy once you catch on. Then, move on the the next shoe and do it again, making extra loops to pass your laces through. Tying your sneakers this way gives extra support to the arches. When you take your shoes off, you will likely have to undo the top holes, so the next morning it is one or two minutes more time consuming. However, your feet will thank you a few hours later.
