Memom - I am so sorry to hear about what happened to Drew. My prayers are with him for a speedy recovery. How is he doing today?

oh - BTW - I love the turkey legs. I get them every time I go to the world. I know they sell smoked turkey legs at some supermarkets in my area, but I have never been able to find them.

I haven't been on in a while, so I had to go back and read a few posts. The TOT pics came out great. I'll have to try that next time. I loved your play-by-play of Beauty and the Beast and Fantasmic. I'm sorry to hear about Drew. I hope all his injuries heal swiftly. Great updates!

Well Thank You!!! How sweet of you to mention that!!! Right now, it looks like we will be heading back next September---YEAH! (for going back) but EEK! (for having to wait that long!!!!!) There will be another PTR to come!!! I guess I am just going to have to live vicariously through Memom's TRs until then!!!!

actually, he has. it was before i met him though, so i don't have any hard evidence. he was a year ahead of my cousin in school and i saw his junior year school picture in my cousin's annual and he had a mullet. i think that was in 1988? that's right around the time the little mermaid came out, so i'm guessing the mullet was cool then. i was only 12 so i kinda remember. of course i didn't sport the mullet, but instead the big '80's hair with lots of hairspray. it was LOVELY.

I just caught up on the last few days of posts. And I am so sorry to hear about Drew. I am glad he is doing ok. Hope the pain starts to fade. I'm glad he is doing better than it sounded like at first.

JILL UPDATE - I'm on the phone with her now as she is in line for funnel cakes. They went swimming, took a nap, then went to Magic Kingdom. They did Haunted Mansion and Laugh Floor. Pirates broke down while they were in line. They're going to watch SpectroMagic and Wishes, since Spectro is only running twice this week. She said it's drizzling right now.

She had to hang up, since she was trying to carry her funnel cake and two waters and balance the phone on her ear. She just said she wanted to touch base and say "Ha, ha! I'm in Magic Kingdom eating a funnel cake and you're not!"

I still love her, though.

He's having a rough night. He seems to be hurting a lot, and it's still two hours until he's due for another Lortab. I have him propped up on the couch with pillows under all his sore spots, which is just about everywhere.

I'm glad you enjoyed the pictures. I try to get different pictures every time I see any of the shows.

I think the internal bruising is starting to get to him now, and his head and shoulder are killing him.

I've got to get this one finished, then Jill will give a mini-version of the trip they're on now, with some video, and then it'll be time to go on our Thanksgiving trip!

Not as good tonight, but maybe after a good night's sleep, he'll feel somewhat better.

I like the turkey legs, too. John loves them! Jill found them a couple of summers ago, and we baked them on low for a long time. They were delicious! Not quite as good as Disney's, but still good.

Hello everyone. I am coming to you right now from my room at Pop. Unfortunately I am not here on a happy note. I come asking you our extended family and friends for prayers. Trent just called and informed me that he and MeMom are at Vanderbilt hospital emergency room with Drew. He had a bike wreck and has internal bleeding on his brain. We don't know a prognosis right now. All we know is that we are all hurting very deeply and need the support, love and prayers from our friends and family. I will update as I get information. Don't forget to tell your family and friends you love them because you never know what might happen in the blink of an eye.

Just got a text from MeMom. It seems as though things are going to be better than expected. He broke his collarbone, all the bones in his right ear, and has a cut on his head. I am trying to get through to her or Trent to get more info but no luck so far. Thank you all for your prayers and concerns on his behalf!

After the obligatory 'why-didn't-you-have-your-helmet-on-you-promised-me-you-always-wore-your-helmet' speech, I sat to watch the nurses do their thing. They took the blood pressure and kept him awake and responding. They wiped the blood and wrote on the charts and jiggled the IV bags. They told us which doctor was coming in next to do which test or x-ray. I told Trent that we had just been talking about nurses on the Disboards in the past two days. He was delighted to hear that I could somehow bring the Disboards into the conversation.

My DH also had a mullet-esque long hairdo before I met him. I have only seen a few picures. Now the short hair is almost gone too, his hairline looks a bit like this guy now ->

Punkin, I take it there is a bit of an age difference between you and Ray. I like to tease DH that I was finishing the 3rd grade when he graduated from high school I couldn't help but think of you tonight as I was driving in with my 4 yo and he was looking at all the halloween decorations "Punkin mommy, punkin!"

Since I am a day late in answering, I can now say, "Yes, today is Jill's birthday." I think something is wrong, though, because I distinctly remember it was I who went through all the pain on that day and yet she's getting a Disney trip.

I am always armed with my print-outs. She probably got worried faster since she had already gone through a little of it at Magical Express. She was probably really ready to get worried fast.

MeMom, here's why we all love you so much. Amid all the scary things going on, you are able to make your typically acute observations about the people in the waiting room, find the time to give a loving lecture and bring up disboards! It is ironic that we were discussing nurses just yesterday. (unfortunately not a good ironic)

MeMom's outlook on everything just makes me want to have her as one of my friends outside the disboards.
