A Ten Day Ride on A Magic Camel - Almost Finished Trip Report

Great pictures!!!! But, I have to ask. Where was that mickey cherry purse???I have to have one of those!!! I am definately going to have to find that in October!!

Great pictures and update Memom. We meant to go to Earl of Sandwich but never made it this trip. In fact we only made it to Downtown Disney once. That's very rare for us. But thanks for all the great pictures.

Cathy

Me mom GREAT update...as usual!!! We will try Earl of sandwich next week for the first time....recommendations pls...lol!!! Which store sold all of that crystal character pieces...they are gorgeous. So excited to see all this in person next week. Lil' Brooklynn is just so cute playing along with her little ponies. Also, where can you get the ICED coffee, which BTW looks GOOD that your daughter is holding? Bring more on Memom...just so GREAT!!! :goodvibes

These are exceptionally busy school days, guys, so very little time to Dis. The weekend approaches, however, and I will get back to the important things. ;) Thanks for hanging in there with us.

Amazing pictures as always, MeMom! You've given me a whole new perspective of things to notice when I'm there...

IN 10 HOURS AND COUNTING!!!!

mmmm...earl of sandwich looks really good. I really liked it there even though I did not like the sandwich I got (i just took of the part I did not like and ate the rest which that part was good) I wonder if there is a sandwich shop comparable around here...I doubt it as I am in the middle of nowhere. Looks like I am proably just going to have to get subway.

Great Pop photos. I will be there in less than 3 weeks! I can't wait! :goodvibes

I LOVE Earl of Sandwich. My favorite is the All American, but every sandwich I've tried there has been really good. I think their prices are pretty reasonable by Disney standards, too. :thumbsup2

Love the Mickey ties in World of Disney. I wonder if I could get my DH to wear one? :upsidedow

Congrats on booking next summer's trip! 10 days is the perfect amount of time, I think. Plenty of time to do everything and lots of time to relax, too!

As always, love your pictures! I have looked at many photos of POP on people's trip reports, but you have captured so many images I have never seen before! The Roger Rabbit walls are really neat. I like the huge laptop too...I wonder if they can change what is displayed on the screen? Looks like they are running an outdated version of Windows
And I love all the bags in Everything Pop...must...restrain...self! I just bought a WALL-E tote bag at the Disney Store last week. Some of my co-workers refer to me as the bag lady.

I always get the BLT....man I wish I had one right now!

Are you in double digits now till the Thanksgiving trip?!?

Yeah, around 95 maybe? I have been so busy I haven't checked.

That is so cool. :thumbsup2 Congrats on getting booked!!!!!

Cathy

Isn't it just such a great feeling to have another Disney trip on the calendar?

I agree- how exciting that you now have a new countdown for your next trip!!:cool1: :cool1:

How exciting to have your next trip booked! :yay:

Congrats on booking your next trip. I have no idea when I will be able to go again. If I stay with this position, I can only hope that I will be invited to two conferences in the spring...other than that... it may be another year. Oh NO!

:woohoo: MeMom I'm so excitted you booked your trip. My boss just got back from his honeymoon and he said I can take my holidays anytime next year (except in the fourth quarter). With huricane probabilities in late August I may re think and go in the Spring. I would love to go for 10 days too. More time to shop and take pics of shopping. :earsgirl:

Thanks all, and yes, it does feel very good to have another trip to look forward to, although this is going to be one long countdown.

I doubt it. Would be nice to go to the Caribbean next year! :goodvibes

Have fun with that, mon! :rotfl: It'll be beautiful, I'm sure.

:cool1:  :cool1: Yay! On booking your trip!! i am already trying to figure out how to convince DH that we should go again next year... maybe if I entice him with the Food & Wine Festival in November... hmmm

Jill and I were at Food and Wine last fall, but we didn't get to stay as long as we would have liked. We just did the food, since we're not wine people, but there were so many awesome choices.

that is great. wish you were going in June then I would have met you. Oh well another time.

We can't get our dates to 'jive', can we?

Hehe!

CONGRATS:banana: And yes, a teacher's gatta do what a teacher's gatta do!!! But still...10 days, that's fab!

Thanks, Beana and Kathleen. I am jealous of people who have trips coming up very soon!

I wish they did make them XL. Congrats on booking the next trip. We are waiting for airfares to come out for August to book next year's trip.

Spent my first 1/2 day at the S-C-H....(you know the rest) starting to get things set up. Our official Back-to-work day is Monday.

Shhhh! Don't say that word! I'm sure you have enjoyed your year away, and hopefully you're refreshed and ready to face the masses again.

Great pictures, again. I have never noticed the walls behind Roger Robbit before. Very cool!
One question though, do you have some kind of contraption that keeps your camera permanently up to your face so you can take constant pictures? :rotfl2:

I can't believe I found something you hadn't noticed! Score!

Just old fashioned armwork holds the camera up. I think it's kinda funny that every time I am in a picture, like on Tower of Terror or something, I almost always have the camera up to my face.

love all your pics, as usual. makes me feel like i'm there. :goodvibes
one question - those mens shirts with the ties, where was that? world of disney or another store? i'm thinking my dad might like a mickey tie.

Yeah, those were at World of Disney. I think Jill said John has one or two Mickey ties that are subtle like those - not over the top screaming Mickey in your face.

So fun to see the computer and Roger Rabbit at POP - that area is where we stayed our first time in '05. :thumbsup2
Can't wait for the Lego Store installment, I'm sure with the usual awesome and unique MeMom photos (photos BY MeMom, not photos OF MeMom that is ;)!) We've never been but we plan on going this trip to buy the kids presents to take back.:flower3:
Thanks for sharing all your wonderful photos with us! You have such a wonderful perspective and you offer such a fresh view of the World!:worship:

Be sure to take pictures of all the huge Lego creatures and the scenes of famous places. They are very cool!

great update and pics.

I loved the "Earl of Sandwich" one. ;)
I kind of needed one.
That is a great idea for a thread. You should really for Disney and promote the parks, they would be at capacity all the time.

Find me a way to get that job and I'm there!

Great update! Earl of Sandwich looks like a good place to eat. We haven't tried it yet. Love the shopping pics!

You must try it. You won't be sorry!

One of my favorite things shopping(or looking not buying) at Disney. I loved the Tink hat.
Brooklynn was so cute dressing the My little ponies and playing with the light saber.
Next time I need to be more aware of the light fixtures.

Need I say ditto on the shopping thing???:)
Disney has the coolest light fixtures all over. Pay attention to them in parks and resorts and you'll see what I mean.

I really enjoyed the POP pictures, I had to switch the december trip to POP but I'm realy excited. I love the vibe you get at POP and i'm looking forward to spending more than just 2 days there :)

They have a huge Christmas tree in the lobby and those metallic ones from the 70's in the windows in the food court.

Great pictures!!!! But, I have to ask. Where was that mickey cherry purse???I have to have one of those!!! I am definately going to have to find that in October!!

They had those purses in several places, so I don't think you'll have any trouble finding one.

Great pictures and update Memom. We meant to go to Earl of Sandwich but never made it this trip. In fact we only made it to Downtown Disney once. That's very rare for us. But thanks for all the great pictures.

Cathy

I'm headed to your report next to see if we're through drinking our orange juice yet. I am anxious to see your arrival at Pop.

Me mom GREAT update...as usual!!! We will try Earl of sandwich next week for the first time....recommendations pls...lol!!! Which store sold all of that crystal character pieces...they are gorgeous. I don't know about the iced coffee. I'll let Jill answer that. Any sandwich made by Earl will be good. The very best one I have ever had is the special one they have at Thanksgiving. It could very well be the best sandwich that has ever entered my big mouth. See if you can read that sign I put up well enough to preview what you might like. Maybe that will help.

Note to self: look up and notice all the light fixtures and theming!

Great pictures, MeMom! I love Disney shopping!

Yes, notice the lights - they are cool. I rarely shop at home - rarely rarely. In Disney World, it's a whole different story!

Amazing pictures as always, MeMom! You've given me a whole new perspective of things to notice when I'm there...

IN 10 HOURS AND COUNTING!!!!

Lucky!!!!! Can't wait to see what you bring back home with you!

It's that bread that makes them so good, and I haven't tasted anything like it around here. Of course, I hardly ever eat out, so I wouldn't be the best one to know.

Great Pop photos. I will be there in less than 3 weeks! I can't wait! :goodvibes

I used to think ten was perfect, but now I'm thinking maybe twelve. We still left some things undone, and next time we'll have another little one to work around.

Yum! Earl of Sandwich looks so good!

Thanks for all the Pop pics! I can't wait to be there!

It'll be dressed up for Christmas when you're there, too!
We've got to plan where we're all meeting up. As far as I know, it's you, us, snowbell and Nicole.

As always, love your pictures! I have looked at many photos of POP on people's trip reports, but you have captured so many images I have never seen before! The Roger Rabbit walls are really neat. You're going to get in trouble with your What Not To Wear people!

I always get the BLT....man I wish I had one right now!

Moi aussi! (One of the few phrases I remember from my high school French.) Not sure why I am French today. Maybe it's leftover from our talk on cultures in Social Studies.

Thanks, Beana and Kathleen. I am jealous of people who have trips coming up very soon!

Hee hee, I first read th at and was like "why is she thanking me twice!" Hee hee..

Anyway, as a teacher I am nervous about taking off two days in September, but...a daughter's also gatta do what a daughter's gatta do.

Hi! I'm just joining in for the first time...took me about a week to get caught up...can't wait for more!

I finally caught up! Between working weird hours (4:30 pm-12 am one night, and then 9-4:30 the next day, the entire week before last), going out to Ohio for a week, and getting ready for school, I have been neglecting email and the Dis and such.

I know I am about a week late but Brooklynn's birthday party looked like so much fun, and I LOVED the Monsters, Inc. cupcakes. :thumbsup2 Of course, I also loved all the pictures from the parks and Pop-it makes me feel like I am back there. Earl of Sandwich looks yummy, I have heard so many good things about it. Sadly, when my mom, my sister, and I tried to go, it was closing down for the night, but I WILL get there the next time we go.

I hope school is going well for you, MeMom, and I hope that Jill is having a fairly easy first few months. :goodvibes

I know. I did the same thing at the beginning of October last year. I wasn't sure what they'd think, but I wanted to do it for Jill, so I took the chance. I was sent away "sick" with everyone's blessings - principals included.

Hi! I'm just joining in for the first time...took me about a week to get caught up...can't wait for more!

Welcome to our group. We try to be very nice to newcomers, but once you've been around for a while, you may get teased or picked on some. That just means it's official - you've found a home.

Sorry you've been so busy lately. This class has its characters, but overall it is better. The problems only go 4-5 deep, rather than 7-8-9 deep.

For your Friday night viewing pleasure, if you've got nothing else to do, we'll finish our shopping at Downtown Disney and then take a walk around Pop Century.

A quick trip through the Lego Store.

Must have pictures of bags, for some reason.

IMG_1052.jpg

You may not believe it, but I carry the same purse all the time. I just wish I could have all the others.

Disney for pets.

We'd eaten and shopped, and now it was time for us to exit DTD and get some rest.

IMG_1055.jpg

Back in the rooms. This was the picture on the wall in Jill's room.

IMG_1056.jpg

I'll be back in a little while with our morning Pop walk.

Okay, it's morning! Time for a nice long walk, since you don't get much exercise when you're at Disney World.

IMG_1057.jpg

Everyone's favorite tie-dyed numbers!

IMG_1059.jpg

Only Disers have favorite tie-dyed numbers.

IMG_1060.jpg

I bet you could ask anyone you work with what their favorite tie-dyed number is and they would refer you to a good psychologist.

I was in Disney World last year when I turned

Nice pictures Memom. I think I may have some of the same ones.

Great pictures from Pop Century. I love walking around and listening to the music and watching the birds, ducks, rabbits ect.. The morning is a great time before everyone is up and moving around, to reflect on the day to come and to enjoy all that God has created.
