A Ten Day Ride on A Magic Camel - Almost Finished Trip Report

Hello there!
I read most of your last thread-but I don't recall if I ever posted. I did once PM Brooklyn's Mommy for some 'bringing baby to WDW advice' and she was very gracious and gave me some good tips....so it's lovely to see another thread by you, and I'm glad I joined in the beginning, so I'm not overwhelmed with a bazillion pages to read! Great start, I LOVE all your pictures! The resort ones were awesome, DH and I planned to do some resort touring on our November trip, now I really want to do it after seeing your pics!

Looking forward to more...

Oh, and I know it's been said a million times, but Brooklyn is just so cute! My DH was peering over my shoulder and kept going "Oh, cute." "Aw!" at every picture. When he saw the one of Brooklyn and Jimmeny Cricket he got all soft and excited to take our little guy in November.

Toddler speak is just the cutest thing to me. I can just hear Brooklynn asking "kick-et" to sign the book. Too funny.

I love the pictures from HM -- I am not sure if that is my favorite ride, but it is up there with Pirates and Peter Pan... and well... i guess I like them all.

Hello all! I got a break in the camp action, so I wanted to check in and put up a few more pictures. I'm very excited for those who are going in the next two or three weeks! I know what you are feeling right now.

Anyway, I hope you're ready for an afternoon parade, because that's what we're doing now!

We had scheduled to meet Pendragon1515 (real name Tyler) just before parade time in front of Casey's. We had been there for a very few minutes when I saw him standing right on the corner looking around in the crowd for us. We saw each other about the same time, and he headed our way.

You know how it is when you meet someone you've seen a picture of, but you've never met them in person before.

This is what was going on in my mind. (What little mind I have. )
That looks like him.
It might be him.
Is it him?
It looks like him.
Yeah, it's gotta be him.
And by that time, he had spotted us and was heading our way.

These guys came and serenaded us.

They mostly serenaded Brooklynn.

She gave her approval of their performance with smiles and applause, as did everyone else around.

With Tyler's approval, I took a picture, and I told him I'd put it in the report. If you're headed for Disney World, you might want to meet up with this nice young man. He works behind the scenes in SpectroMagic. He was very nice to talk to, and he told us lots of fun things thoughout the parade.

Time for the parade!

It had to have been 126 degrees inside these costumes.

Notice the detail in the posts. Disney is all about details at every turn.

Notice the cat about to have fish sticks for dinner. Cats are all about fish at every turn.

Our cat will run to the kitchen when he hears a can opener on the chance that someone could be opening a can of tuna and might give him the leftovers to lick out of the can. If you ever can't find him, all you have to do is go get the can opener and make a little noise with it and he'll come out of hiding!

We dig, dig, dig, dig, dig, dig, dig, dig, all the whole day through...

All those people taking pictures from the other side - I guess we're probably the background in their photos, huh?

I'll end this post with Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum, and then I'm going to have to hold you in mid-parade, because I have to get back to work.

i've never noticed the guys on either side of the cat and they're kinda freaking me out right now!!! does anyone else find them kinda creepy?


oh, and speaking of tweedle dee and tweedle dum, did you notice any of their hats for sale while you were there? i can't seem to find the answer to this question anywhere!

Great parade shots. I'd realy like ot have one of those ballons that has a mickey inside of it. Too bad they won't let you bring them on the plane. Actually, that might tip off DS as to where we have been. Probably not a good idea.

Told a little white lie the other day. I mentioned that while we were travelling, we may go to New Hampshire where there was a HUGE Disney Store (well there could be one). DS said no, he'd rather wait until we go to the real Disney next year and pick out something himself. Hmmm....

If I were at the Magic Kingdom right now, I would totally be camped out on Main Street waiting for the parade to start. So, I am going to pretend that I am doing just that while looking at your great pictures!

I love the pictures of the parade-we didn't go to that one. My mom and sister and I only passed by it when we were trying to leave the park post-shopping (the guys took off when we said that we wanted to shop! Imagine that?!) I agree with punkin, the guys on either side are kinda creepy.

I've always wondered how the entertainment cast members managed in those costumes, especially in the summer, and in parades in the summer. I've only ever been down there in January, February, and April, but Massachusetts can get pretty hot and sticky in the summer months, so I can't imagine it down there. I would love to see a good Florida summer storm, though.

We can hardly wait to be there. Just 3 weeks!!!! Love the pics from Casey's. We've never eaten there. We were just talking while we were out on our walk a little while ago, how we want to go there this trip. Thanks for showing us the pics.

I love the parade pictures!! My favorite float is always the 7 dwarves because the jewels are so sparkly!! As a kid I used to love to get little treasure chests with fake jewels in them -- now I like to get treasure chests with real jewels in them, I guess some things dont change!
