Hello all! MeMom got finished at camp this morning so I'm sure she will be making her return appearance in the next 24 hours. I'm at the in laws for the weekend and just got on long enough to check in and say hi. Have a great weekend and I'll check back in when I can.

Hey everyone! I'm coming to you in a zombie-like state after cooking and cleaning and cooking and re-cleaning night and day since Sunday. It is so fun, and it is such a wonderful mission, but it is exhausting.

Punkin is having a birthday party over on her TR, but I was so tired I had to leave and come back over here where it was quieter. (Everybody say HAPPY BIRTHDAY, punkin!, and be sure to say it in pink. ) Trent went to see Batman with Kristi's brothers, Drew saw it last night and is out with friends tonight, Jill, John, and Brooklynn are in KY. It's just me and the cat, and he makes little noise.

Camp was great, as always. Good friendships formed, good memories made. They will all sleep well tonight. Our camp is one of my favorite places in the world, and when I die, I will be giving a good chunk of my money, if teachers actually have money left when they die, to the camp program. It is a good, good work.

Sorry I've left you sitting on the curb in mid-parade since Wednesday. I know you must be sunburned and have very sore bums by now. I will finish it tomorrow. I would try to tonight, but I'm probably not coherent enough to do it justice right now. I've been trying to check in on all the trip reports I follow to catch up on the events of the week. I've also been jealously reading along with all the pre-trip folks - declansdad and pooksma are almost ready to go on their highly publicized trip. TCKK has new clothes all ready to go for her family. scottny might be through changing ADRs, etc. and be really ready to go. Nicole has so many trips on the books for herself and her parents that she surely couldn't have much time to be doing anything but trip planning! VandyFan10 and punkin are planning an awesome girl trip. SwansLovesDisney is showing off her incredible Greece pictures as she awaits her November trip. That girl is such a traveler! Then I noticed a TN person wrote on her report about the Parthenon we have here in Nashville, so I need to check their report out, too.

Lots happening this week. I hope you all are having/have had a wonderful evening - either being with those you love, having a birthday dinner, or just sitting in the quiet house Dising the night away. I promise to get you off the curb, out of the heat, and through the parade tomorrow.

I do it for myself as much as anything! For one thing, I have so many pictures that I want to get most of them in so everyone gets the full experience - the sights, sounds, smells, etc. from both common and unusual angles, and to see not only the big things, but focus in on those wonderful Disney details, as well. Also, I do it to stretch out the fun of one trip until it's almost time to make the next one. That way, I have a constant Disney fix going!


So let's finish this parade!

We would be having an early dinner with these guys after the parade.

This guy gives me the heebie-jeebies.

The CMs who portray his character do such a good job of walking in a mean, intimidating way, too, I've noticed. He tends to come right up to you and stare at you in a challenging way. I try to walk the other way when I see him!

One day this will be punkin up there.

I guess he recognized that we were from Tennessee.

The raccoon is our state wild animal.

Donald is one of Brooklynn's favorites. She seems to really light up when she sees him.

With that, the parade was over, and we said our goodbyes to Tyler.

It was almost time for our Crystal Palace reservation, and we were looking very forward to that.

It had already been a wonderful, magical day. We had spent relaxing time at the pool with Brooklynn, and now we were on Main Street, Disney World after the parade. A person could be very happy with a day like that, I would think.

Church camp does provide many memories. Hopefully, most of them are good ones!

shannon47142 - I'm jealous of everyone who has a nearby trip on the books! Last year, we went to Disney after church camp. This year, when camp was over, there was nothing. If I had someone to go with me, I'd go back for a few days before school starts. I mean, I still have a couple of precious weeks left with pretty much nothing to do. No reason I couldn't take full advantage and get one last trip out of my AP before it expires!!!
