That would be pretty cool

I'd love to meet you guys. Too bad we're going just one month before you do, but that means that I can show you my pictures and remind you of where you'll be in a short time!
I never noticed the Mickey heads on the horses' getups. That's too cute.
I LOVE Splash Mountain, it's one of my all-time favorites. I especially like that it is not really short. Even if it's not hot, I will always ride that!
Okay, I swear I'm going to stop Dising for a little while, and get started on homework...
The Dising does get in the way of schoolwork, sometimes, doesn't it? The real problem is that that darn schoolwork gets in the way of our Dising!
Splash Mountain is just one of those classic rides, to me. The drop is exciting enough, yet not too bad for scaredy-cats, so it's a good ride for families to share together.
Whenever the day comes that our trips overlap, we'll definitely makes plans to meet up!
One day, when you have time on a trip, go out to Fort Wilderness and see the place where the horses are cared for. It's pretty cool.
Hi, I just noticed your signature says newly booked March trip, did I miss it? When are you going? Where are you staying?
Sunny Stace - I used to go to "Storyland" as a kid, we had a campsite nearby. I remember the little houses. I took my DS when he was young but I never took DD. Its still there...I wonder if they have updated it?
I can't wait to find out Jill's news, what a fun way to let you know. She is so creative.
You have a Rainforest Cafe, I'm so jealous. We tried to eat there last year but they turned us away because they were closing. The closest one is in Toronto about 5 hours away.
The yellow hibiscus flower is beautiful. The hibiscus is one of my favorite flowers. The white flower reminds me of cheese strings.
Funny you mentioned clipboards, I'm currently using a Stitch one. I take DIS notes as I read stuff I find interesting.
The March trip is extremely 'iffy' right now. It's supposed to be a time for me to spoil Brooklynn just before the baby gets here, but unless I can talk my friend, Kay, into going, I doubt I'll go alone. Not that Brooklynn doesn't have the vocabulary of an adult and know her way around the entire place, but she is really only two, and if I am the only grown-up and something happened to me accidentally, she'd be there with no one. Neither Kay nor I have any business spending the money to go, but we both know we would love a short fun break when spring break gets here. She's holding out right now because she's afraid her husband will bark about spending the money, yet, she told me to hold on to the reservation and she'll see what she can work out. As for me, I know I would be better off staying at home and saving that money for a house repair or to put toward our summer trip, but I also know I'm going to be dying for a Disney fix between going through the winter blahs and getting ready for state testing at school. I'm holding the Pop reservation for now and just letting whatever seems best closer to time play out as God wants it to.
I have always taught at the college level or as a training consultant. Pooksma has been at the middle school level since she started. What about you, always elementary?
Great Splash Mountain photos. Did you go to the laughing place?
Always little ones. I have subbed in all levels pre-school through 8th grade. I taught four years of pre-school in a T-Th church program, a year of kindergarten, a couple of years of multi-grade resource type classes, and then third grade. I love the age of third graders, and I like the curriculum, even though it is a bit much for eight year olds. I do not like the constant testing. Every other week they have to have a DIBELS assessment, every four weeks a Running Record, they have Accelerated Math and Accelerated Reading, which are not bad programs, but the way they are used at our school, it's more of a must do and too often, and then we have a new writing program, a DSA/Word Study program, and a Vocabulary program - all of that on top of regular Reading/Language, Math, Science, and Social Studies. It's just far too much for our plates, and even though they think they're making accompishments touting all their programs, none of it is getting done correctly. We call it Skim School, because we skim through something and do a flash card type teaching, and then we move on. I could go on for hours about the bad things I see it doing, but the people who assign us all these things to do just really don't care. At this point, there is not a teacher in our building who can say they would recommend anyone coming into our school system for a job, and that is pretty sad.
More than you wanted to know, but it's just so frustrating!
Well, this year they did a special at Six Flags that it was only $29.99 if you bought your tickets online. If you bought them at the park, it was $39.99. But, since I work for the Government, I get discounts with lots of places!! Our tickets were only $24.99. We like to take Hollie the very last weekend. Its nice and cool and not crowded at all!!! Chad and I actually met working at Six Flags!
We paid $69.00 for our season passes this year. We didn't go as much this year as last year, due to high gas prices. The boys have fun while we are there, but it is nowhere near Disney. It is such a shame because Six Flags used to be a nice park, now it is just run down. Or maybe my expectations are higher now.
Yeah, I remember it being fun, but nothing compared to Disney. Heather, that's kinda fun that you guys met while working there.
I will let you stay here sometime
Next time you see the dream team you tell them I said so!!
SO sweet!!!
I'll be taking pictures for you soon, and I will get you that castle blanket if they have them in two weeks, no doubt!
I'll be waiting to hear what the baby is. I bet you & Brooklynn are excited!
Jill is anxious for Brooklynn to call it brother or sister and not
it or Baby Kermit.
I have my doubts that it's the same as it was about 20 years ago. I haven't been there since I was around 8 or 9. My parents figured I had outgrown it, little did they know I am a female peter pan! My great aunt and uncle lived in a tiny, little place called Denby, do you know it?
MeMom, it must be dads! When I was around that age my dad scared the ever-living outta me by chasing me up the basement steps in my minnie mouse hallowe'en mask!

I don't mind being scared so long as I don't feel threatened, but I certainly did then!
Oh I am so excited to find out AvaGarrett will actually be! I went over to the USA this weekend to shop for my little cousins' birthday gifts and they certainly have some cuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuttte stuff for both boys and girls! And for adults....it was hard to control myself with such little time left before my trip, but I only bought stuff for the kids (they're 2, 11mos., and 7mos.). Aunt Stacy is gonna spend a ton when at Disney!
I'm sure my dad got a huge kick out of the whole thing, but he scarred me for life!
I bet Aunt Stacy is very loved!!!
MeMom I just saw Punkin's festive countdown callendar and I wonder where yours is? Do you not do one? I think it's a great idea. We did the chain link last year but I like the callendar idea better.
Happy Rememberance Day !
Sunny Stace - I don't know of the tiny town Denby, we camped near a town called Cobden? Are you living in London? My sister lives there and we have been to Storybook Gardens a few times.
I am nowhere near as creative as Dawn, so I leave the calendars to her and Jill. I love her Christmas one! I just use my regular Disney calendar for counting down, and as busy have things have been in the last month, I barely even check in on it. This trip has come quickly.
what an awesome way to find out what the baby is going to be.
She did the same thing last time. She left packages and called to tell me which ones to open. When she called, I opened the one she said, and through the tissue paper, I saw blue, and I thought to myself that it was a boy, but then I saw that it was a big blue flower, and I got a huge, huge smile, because I really, really, really wanted a girl! I was SO happy! This time, I have a feeling it's a boy most of the time, but then Jill has said the heartbeat has been both fast and slow at times, so it's still a mystery. If it was staying fast or staying slow, I'd be guessing more one way or the other, but this one is keeping me in suspense. I hope it will cooperate next week and display whatever is necessary for us to know whether we're doing pretty in pink again or whether we're breaking out the pirate gear!
