A "super" E-Ticket comming to Tommrowland?

Yeah with FLE and now this new TL rumor hot on the stove I agree with you. I was hoping for BK, MI in DAK to be the next project or something in DHS.

Wouldn't more people making the trek to MK to see or experience the new attractions also mean more people that may visit the other parks? Kind of like the trickle down effect that Harry Potter may or may not have had on WDW (don't know the exact numbers).

good pt. and thats what TDO is seening, there is also talk of Adventure Land reciving something "big" after the Tommrowland project. IF this rumor is supposedly true with being open 2013-2014 with in the same time frame of FLE 100% open, they will advertise the heck out of this.

Rumors are starting to make the rounds of a major HP expansion, to be completed in...ta da! 2013-2014.

DisneyParks will still get criticized for it being too little - if FLE was in response to HP as it is today, adding one or two rides vs. the HP expansion will be seen as a minor knee-jerk reaction.

In DL I believe it would replace the Speedway.

Also don't assume because it is an E that it will be a thrill ride.

Bingo - I am really sick of every "great if it would be a coaster" post. The world does not begin and end with rails and a passenger restraint.

Personally, I think a new Roller coaster>Dark ride>Motion simulator.

Also, I think people are assuming it's a thrill ride because it was a so called SUPER E-ticket.

Weather it is or isn't, we will just have to wait and see.

My friend Bill who’s is the one that clued my on this, said he was at MK Tuesday Morning and he said there where lots of land surveyors east of Space Mountain all the way to that pond in question.

His source said the announcement will come with in this year and yes its going to be Tron based.

So I guess we will have to wait and see.

Bet $20 it'll be @ D23 if true.

Why Tron? Talk about a dud. Everybody always complains that Universal's rides aren't relevant but this will be irrelevant by the time it opens.

My sources, maybe not as reliable as some of those posted (based on the track records), says this is 'just discussion' and budget cuts will eliminate it from consideration soon.

did Tron make more money than the last Mummy movie? will it sell more DVDs?
The grosses look comparable, but I think the "cult" status of Tron and it's "legacy" disqualify it from being called a dud. I do not remember the last Mummy movie being considered such a great success critically. That does not take away from the ride, IMO.
I have not seen it (Tron), but definitely can't wait to check it out as soon as I can either at theater or DVD.

Tron's doing very well. They'll make a couple hundred million on box office sales alone. Not as good as the first 2 Mummy movies but much better than the last one. Being a Sci-Fi it will do well on ROM sales.
If they open the ride before the third movie comes out they'll get some addition staying power out of it. I also agree with your thoughts that Tron, being a classic cult movie, will give it all the longevity it needs. Regardless of whether you liked the movies or not the Tron environment would make a stupendous ride if done well.

You got it the AL E would have been Indythemed either a clone from DL or hybrid coaster form.
It's so funny looking at your posts and watching you try to sound like you know what your talking about and trying to act like a insider. All this guy is doing is going off of what others are saying around other forums and reporting it back (and getting half of it wrong at that). If you had known ANYTHING about these rumors, you would have known one of the first things that was reported by the trusted insider Lee over at WDW Magic was that the E-tic was NOT Indiana Jones related. In fact, he stated it MANY times. Also, not sure where you're getting this speedway rumor. I know for a fact that nothing is happening with the speedway except shortening the track as of right now. And it would make absolutely no sense as they have DHS for all things Star Wars related. And not sure why you don't think that the Tron ride would be a coaster, that's one of the other things Lee came out and said.

It's one thing to provide info, but to try to make it sem like you're an insider and in the process getting half of this crap wrong that you're posting (there's plenty more, just not going to waste my time). Do yourself a favor guys and take everything he says with a grain of salt.

Agreed.

This may be personal opinion getting in the way of objectivity...BUT I think TRON has one good thing going for it....style.

Whether most people like the plot or not, it's probably one of the most stylish franchises out there. I bet most people would love to see that "world" come to life with the music, the cool glow of everything and of course, the lightcycles

I often disagree with some of Figment's opinions but the guy has some cred as far as I'm concerned. He has a track record of getting things right and a track record of giving credit to other forums when he finds the info there -- where's your track record?

These are RUMORS so no one expects them to be right 100 percent of the time. But he's been right enough that I'll listen when has some info.

I guess I don't have a track record, but that's because I don't have any inside sources and don't claim to. I don't post much here. I don't even lurk much. But when I see this guy, who I know is over on other boards and makes absolutely none of these claims and relies on others info, it gets me a little ticked off that he makes these claims over here. That's the only reason I say anything. Obviously he is going to have some credibility because quite frankly, he's going off of what others who have credibility say (and throwing in some of his own BS here and there). While that's all good and well, I just have a problem with someone claiming they are in the know and misleading people.

Just my .02. You don't have to listen to me, I just was saying not to necessarily believe everything he says, especially if it sounds a little off. I've been around this Disney online community for a pretty long time (under a different username elsewhere than here) and I know who all the insiders are and can tell the BSers from the people who seem to know what the hell they are talking about. I pointed out several things that he had no clue what he was talking about in my previous post (all can be confirmed over at WDW Magic). I have nothing against the guy, just warning people that he isn't what he is making himself out to be.

I don't think any of us think the guy's got a pipeline to Bob Iger. But that's beside the point -- how about discussing the topics instead of acting like a 12-year-old in a flame war?
