A "super" E-Ticket comming to Tommrowland?

I don't think any of us think the guy's got a pipeline to Bob Iger. But that's beside the point -- how about discussing the topics instead of acting like a 12-year-old in a flame war?
Wow. I don't think any insiders have a pipeline to Iger first of all. I don't get how i'm acting like a 12 year old though. I'm simply warning others that his info isn't completely accurate based on what i've heard from several different reliable posters around the fan community. Was trying to help, certainly not flaming anyone.

I haven't seen 'Tron' and didn't mean to indicate it was actually bad (my eldest daughter LOVED it). Just mean it hasn't rec'd critical acclaim and seemed an unlikely classic at WDW. Cult following isn't exactly Disney's forte.

Not comparing Tron to Star Wars, but Star Wars and Star Wars weekends have made it big at WDW. Star Wars is a HUGE cult movie. Tron, a smaller one, and a younger one.

Star Wars was way more than a cult movie though.

For the most part I agree with you. In the beginning it especially was, but its longevity is largely due to cult status....revitilization of interest in '90's...subsequent success of the sub-par sequels (I did like them all]....people seeing 'The Phanton Menace' multiple times just because just so it could break box office records...remember that campaign? Even though they hated Jar-Jar, they went along with it...that, to me, is a cult following.

Jar-Jar WILL be the death of humanity. Mark my words.........

Well, I vote for a thrill ride based on anything Disney:banana: Now as far as the height requirements I say it gives kids not only a reason to return but something to look forward to. I mean in 2011 where 4yr olds have ipods & ipads:scared1:(oh yes they do in my town i've seen it) having them wait a few years to ride a big kid ride might encourage a little patience.:lmao:

The "parking lot area" between COP and Buzz has just been redone with no room for anything else and no look to change.

The "parking lot area" was the Galaxy Palace Theater stage, which was turns into parking spaces a few years ago.

If Disney decided to take those spaces away, or all of them back there, for the sake of an E-ticket, they will.

To my knowledge there are not planning to.

Some new updates.

The WDW version would indeed be a light cycle coaster.

DL version would utilize the old Rcket Rod or People Mover track.

However I am hearing more and more that both TDO and TDA will be dropping the Tron theme and the only park that will be getting Tron is Shanghai.

We should still be getting an E but it's doubtful that it will be Tron.

Imagine putting something new and futuristic in Tomorrowland, nah it would never work.

.

Interesting. So it would be the same ride system, but without Tron?

I'm still going some digging but I highly doubt it. I think it will be thrilling an there have been rumors of KUKA but as of now I can't confirm anything but I'm working on it.:thumbsup2

While they're at it, they need to get rid of those abhorent pieces of waste known as "Stitch" and the "Laugh Floor Comedy Club"

I like everyone's thinking of this being a "super"coaster to compete with some at IoA and SeaWorld. I think they definitely have the room to do it, but 1 thing I worry about is what it will do to the landscape. With RnR, they put the show building towards the backlot, so it didnt nearly show as much. If you were to house a coaster like that behind CoP, you will block the view of TL and SM. There would have to be alot of theming around it, raising the costs. I always enjoyed the view coming across the SSL, seeing the castle, astro orbitor and SM to the left. We dont need a big box building blocking it. If there was only some way they could put it behind SM, across the tracks, that would be a good location. What is they moved the TL Speedway behind the COP and put this new coaster there?

The deeper I dig the more depressing this gets and the less likely it is that TL is getting anything.
