A Summer Wedding and a Disney Trip CANCELLED, HELP DECIDE WHEN WE'LL GO IN 2011

Hey Pam!!!

Your Epcot plans sound great!!!!! (Spaceship Earth is a ride not a restaurant though LOL). That is great that you will be in some of the same parks as us at the same time :cool1:!!!!!!!! Can't wait to hear your other plans!!!

We always break Epcot up into two days. There's just too much to see and do in just one. We always ride Ellen's Universe of Energy and like it. My husband falls asleep every time but he can fall asleepanywhere in 2.2 seconds.:lmao:

Love Epcot!! Are you planning on hitting up the character spot in FW? I think you probably meant to put Spaceship Earth on your ride list, not under the restaurant heading.

We did Ellen's Energy Adventure last spring and it is definitely long. BUT...Ellen is entertaining and my kids liked it. :thumbsup2 I'd try to go on your second day if you feel like you have some time and want a nice cool, sit-down break.

You should consider trying some of the CS places in the WS. Even if your kids aren't necessarily adventurous eaters, there should be some things you can find that they will like. The Bakery in Norway has some great treats and the Fish and Chips CS (Yorkshire something ) is good and kid friendly. :)

Ooo, we do love fish and chips! Maybe i'll try that.

Hey Pam!! I haven't been postin, but I have been following along, I swear!!;) Sorry about your friend and his loss. Those poor kids.:sad2:

The pics of little Lizzie playing basketball are adorable! She's like a foot shorter than the other kids, but that didn't stop her!! As Emily says about Eva, "She's tiny, but STROOOOONG!!!! :cutie:

Your plans look great! I'm sure they will be tweeked a million times before September! Free dining should be announced at the end of the month!! :woohoo:

We like Universe of Energy, the ride part that is. The movie at the beginning seems SOOOOOOOO LONG. It is a nice cool break in the heat of the day though!

Yay for Lizzie being tall enough to ride all of the fun rides with you guys. :cheer2: Emily is at 40 inches right now so I'm excited to take her on Splash Mountain and TOT!! She's a daredevil!:scared1:

Keep up the good planning, can't wait to read more!

P.S. How are the rest of the wedding plans coming along?:bride:

Hey Pam!!!

Thanks! And the wedding plans are coming. Just nothing to interesting right now!

I already went back and changed it. Of course I know it's not a restaurant. We rode Spaceship Earth twice in May. My kids loved it!!!! I really did too! And yes, we'll be at the same parks on quite a few days!

Oh, I could picture Manny falling asleep in there!

Yes, I already went back and changed it. It was definitely supposed to go under the rides! ;)

And yes, we'll hit the character spot. We did last year also.

So, I haven't been on for the past few days because it's been 50 degrees here and we have been out! I do have some pictures from the weekend but haven't put them on the computer yet. Friday's weather was awesome, I picked Sam up from school and we went to the park with her friend and they played for about an hour. Saturday we walked to the park and hung out there for about 45 minutes, then when we got home the kids went outside with Manny to wash the car and truck! Sunday Lizzie had basketball, and then we met my friend and her niece and nephew, and Nicole with her girls at the park. We played there for about an hour. Now Nicole and I were planning on telling the girls we were going to Disney together this tuesday. They were going to come over and we were going to surprise them. Well we were almost ready to leave the park when Emily comes and asks if we're going on September 19th? Makenzie asks what hotel they're staying at? Uh-oh! Me and Nicole are just watching waiting for them to figure it out. They figured it out all right. We didn't get the screaming reaction we thought we were going to get because I think they weren't too sure if it was real or not. Well when we got home Emily said " I was excited to go back to Disney, but now I really can't wait" Oh boy, it's gonna be a LONG 6 months!

Nicole sent me a text last night that they were ready to go to Disney. The picture was of Jordyn and Makenzie in their 3d glasses. They went to see Alice in Wonderland! I'm going to try to post that one here too!

This morning Emily took her "First Visit" Disney pin off of her lanyard, cause, ya know, it's now going to be the second. I said "oh, you getting ready to go" she said "yup" It was cute! She wants to hold the fast passes in her lanyard this time!!! She really wanted to hold her "key to the world" card, but i've heard too many stories of them getting lost while they were in the plastic parts of the lanyards!

This week we will be getting ready for Sam's birthday. She was born on St.Patrick's day! We will be having her party this sunday! She is very excited!!

Hey Pam!!

Your weekend sounded awesome! It was 50 degrees here, too, so it was really nice. Peter has all kinds of ideas on what he wants to do with some of the land we have. I think I've created a monster. I looked for signs of my tulips, but it's still early yet. I did notice little tiny buds starting to appear of some of my trees. So exciting!!!

Yay for Spring!!!!! We had great weather too and have been outside a bunch. How cute that they figured it out on their own. Going to Disney is fun, but going with friends sounds like a blast! Savannah is excited about having a friend there as well!

Oh, how I loved Animal Kingdom. I cannot wait to go back to this park!!! We will be going on wednesday and there will be night time EMH from 5-8pm! So, we'll probably get as early a start as we can, take a pool break and then go back until close!!

Must dos!!!

Expedition Everest (says Emily and Nicole)
The Safari
Camp Minnie Mickey
It's tough to be a bug
Dinosaur
Primeval Whirl (loved it)
Tricera top spin
Take the train to Rafiki's planet watch
Kali river rapids

And I would like to do one of the trails to see more animals. I know there are a few. Which one do you recommend? We didn't do one last time because we ended up at AK for a FULL day and we couldn't bare to walk extra. But this time we'll break up the day!

And Emily REALLY wants to see Devine. We did not see her last year.

CSs

Yak and Yeti CS
Pizzafari
Flame tree barbecue

Yeah, it is going to be a blast! All of the Disney dreams i've been having lately all have Nicole in them now!!

We went to the Bronx Zoo this weekend and it was heavenly!!! We saw lots of little signs of spring.

Amanda

It has been sooo beautiful lately! Today was just gorgeous in NY. I'm sure the girls will be more openly ecstatic as the trip gets closer. Definitely share pictures from the weekend-- and from Sam's party! St. Patrick's Day-- what a fun day for a birthday!

Your plans look good :thumbsup2. We had a beautiful weekend here too. I'm glad it is starting to warm up some. I know our weather doesn't compare with what ya'll have, but we have had a cold winter this year.

I know, she likes that her bday is on a little "holiday"

Yea, i'm sure it's much warmer where you are :goodvibes

So, here I sit on the dis boards when I am supposed to be starting the girl's bedrooms. The party is in 5 days and their rooms are a complete disaster!!!! I don't even want family to see them the way they are! I think the nice weather did me in. I feel like we are so much closer to going to Disney now that we're not in subzero temps. I'm ready to pack :rotfl: No, really I am!!!!

I bought another set of t shirts too. So i'm ready to make my second set, i'm just not sure what design i'm going to put on them. Maybe I should post a pic of the shirts and then the designs i'm deciding between! I'll be back soon to do that!

I had my first Disney dream last night!!!! All I remember there was you, me, my girls, Brianne (our other bff) and we were at MK then realize that we were not following the plans and we were suppose to be at AK but we couldnt get the th girls to leave cause they thought to leave disney all together not just to another park!!!! maybe this is a sign that I should start planning my park days! lol

Great DAK plans. :thumbsup2 We've been lucky enough to see Devine once in all of our trips. Pretty freaky when we first saw her. :scared1:

We've not done many of the animal trails. DH says he wants to change that and do them this year. I just don't know where to start!

That's too funny! I can't stand all of these crazy Disney dreams! I just want to be there. Then they'll stop!

Oh, cool! Yeah, I hope that we get to see her. And I said the same thing about the animal trails. I don't know which one to do!

So Nicole and I added an extra day on to the beginning of our trip :cool1: We will be arriving Saturday 9/18 instead of sunday! What's the point of sitting around saturday and waiting to go, right! So if we fly we'll do it as early as we can on saturday, if I drive, we'll leave friday around 5 and drive straight through, getting there around 5pm. (That's adding in rest stops)

:woohoo::woohoo::woohoo::woohoo::woohoo::woohoo::woohoo::woohoo:

So, we're 1 day closer!!!!

I posted this on the Disney for families thread but i'll see if anyone knows here. I'm thinking maybe on our first night we could go over to the Poly beach and watch that electric water pageant and Wishes! Does anyone know which days this comes through and what times. I thought I remember seeing it listed somewhere before but I cannot find it now! Thanks
