A Summer Wedding and a Disney Trip CANCELLED, HELP DECIDE WHEN WE'LL GO IN 2011

Pam,
I am so sorry for your loss. I will be thinking of you tonight.
Your plans sound great- I love the boardwalk!!

So sorry for your friend's loss.
Terrific that Lizzie loved the basketball camp!! Make sure you do mention their names to their principal-- too often, teens don't get praised for what they do right. I'm sure their school and parents will be very proud!
Great new park plans-- where do you think you'll squeeze in the Wishes cruise??

Thank you! I thought the BW was so pretty, we didn't get to spend enough time over there, so definitely want to go back!

Thank you! and I forgot to put in the Wishes cruise. Now that I switched our 2nd MK day to the day before we leave I would like to book it for our DTD night! I know the boat's can't be rented that late so that should work well on that day!

Your plans look great! It's nice that you have some non-park plans mixed in!!!

Hello! Pam
I'm so sorry to hear about the loss of your friend.
Lizzie looks like she had a blast at basketball camp; she is so sweet.
Your plans look like they are coming together great! :mickeyjum
I like how you incorporated down days into your week.
:wave2: Connie

Hi Pam! I'm all caught up again. :goodvibes Basketball camp looks like it was a blast. Lizzie is such a cutie! :cutie:

I'm so sorry to hear of your loss. Sounds live a very sad situation. I hope you did okay at the funeral home. It's never a good thing to see people hurting so badly.

So we all piled in my boss's truck last night to go to the wake. Instead of taking two cars, he thought it would be fun. It was fun all right! and cozy. Seeing how there were 6 adults in a vehicle for only 5. But it was fun, by the time we got to the wake, I had to put myself in the right place :rotfl:

It wasn't too bad. My friend was not crying when we walked in, so that was a plus. His kids were not there, so that spared my tears. But his Mom was just standing there most likely medicated. I felt so bad for her! My friend was so happy that we came. One of my friend's that came with us looked at me and said "i've never been to a wake before" right before we were about to walk in. I said "What and you waited til this second to talk about it" But, it was over and i'm glad it's done. I did find out what happened. He had a heart attack and unfortunately his two youngest grandkids found him. They must be devastated! I think they are 8 and 10.:guilty:

I hope your family and your friend's family are beginning to find comfort in the memories you have--such a hard thing!

If you add a day, I would say to leave it open for family choice. :thumbsup2

That is just horrific! I feel so bad for those poor children :-(
I know, it's terrible. The boys seem to be doing ok, obviously they are SO sad. I can't imagine finding a loved one dead at that age. At any age for that matter. That's gotta bother you for quite a while.

Thanks! And yes, that's exactly what i'm figuring on. I know last year because of bad heat and rain in the same day we didn't get enough time at DHS, so this way we'll have an open day if something like that happens again. Hopefully not!!!

So, i'm looking at the park hours posted here on the dis and they have MNSSHP listed for sunday 9/19 instead of tuesday 9/21 which is when I figured it would be because the park closes at 7pm that night with no wishes. It doesn't make sense for MNSSHP to be on sunday night though because it also says MK is offering EMH from 9p-12a. You can't do both? I"m confused, has anyone found out what's really going on?

I don't see the park closing early (7pm) for a party on Sunday the 19th? I DO see that it closes at 7pm on Tuesday the 21st, so that's when the party should be! :goodvibes

I'm going to start posting what we want to do in each park and then i'm going to put together a kind of plan for each day.

First up: Epcot!!! This will be split up into 2 days! We love Epcot so much!

1 day will be for the World showcase. We toured about 5 countries last May and I'd like to get all the way around the world this trip :goodvibes Emily picked up a pearl and now my other 2 want to do that. We loved the boat ride in Mexico, we really want to do that again! I'm going to be making passports to get stamped in each country and I'd love to do the masks again. My kids loved those.

So for Future world we have:

Test Track
Soarin
I'd also like to check out the living with the land pavillion, we didn't do that last time
Living with the Land Boat ride
The seas with Nemo and friends.
Turtle talk with crush
Journey into imagination with figment
Honey I shrunk the audience
Spaceship Earth
Will consider Ellen's energy adventure. I heard it was long, but it sounds cute. Does anyone have experience with this?

Restaurant choices:
Liberty Inn
Electric Umbrella
Sunshine Seasons

Fast passes:
Test Track
Soarin
Honey I shrunk the audience.

WE ARE SO EXCITED THAT SAM HAS EXCEEDED 40 INCHES SO SHE CAN DO ALL OF THIS FUN STUFF WITH US!

We LOVE the Universe of Energy with Ellen, but it definitely is long. I think there would be parts your kids would love and parts that would bore them. I wouldn't make it a "must-do" for your family, but I do think you'd enjoy it (mostly) if you had the time!

We love Epcot, too! Are your kids too old for Turtle Talk? My kids love it!

Amanda

We did Ellen's Universe of Energy last time. Ellen is actually pretty funny - it kept my interest. I think it's hard because some of the stuff is clearly from before they remodeled, so it's not as coherant as it might be - but I was entertained and would do it again if we had time. It also has HUGE capacity, so that's a plus for getting on to it.

Thanks, I figured we'd do it if we have the time and we want an AC break!

Oh my  I have no idea how I forgot about Turtle talk with Crush. We absolutely LOVE that. The Nemo shirts I just made for the kids are specifically for that. I'm going to fix my list right now!

Yeah, we'll do it if we have time, it sounds like something I would really like. I love Ellen!

We did Ellen's Energy Adventure last spring and it is definitely long. BUT...Ellen is entertaining and my kids liked it. :thumbsup2 I'd try to go on your second day if you feel like you have some time and want a nice cool, sit-down break.

You should consider trying some of the CS places in the WS. Even if your kids aren't necessarily adventurous eaters, there should be some things you can find that they will like. The Bakery in Norway has some great treats and the Fish and Chips CS (Yorkshire something ) is good and kid friendly. :)

Hey Pam!! I haven't been postin, but I have been following along, I swear!!;) Sorry about your friend and his loss. Those poor kids.:sad2:

The pics of little Lizzie playing basketball are adorable! She's like a foot shorter than the other kids, but that didn't stop her!! As Emily says about Eva, "She's tiny, but STROOOOONG!!!! :cutie:

Your plans look great! I'm sure they will be tweeked a million times before September! Free dining should be announced at the end of the month!! :woohoo:

We like Universe of Energy, the ride part that is. The movie at the beginning seems SOOOOOOOO LONG. It is a nice cool break in the heat of the day though!

Yay for Lizzie being tall enough to ride all of the fun rides with you guys. :cheer2: Emily is at 40 inches right now so I'm excited to take her on Splash Mountain and TOT!! She's a daredevil!:scared1:

Keep up the good planning, can't wait to read more!

P.S. How are the rest of the wedding plans coming along?:bride:
